After a series of intense battles in the Forest of Death, the preliminary results showcased the remarkable talents from various villages:

-Konoha advanced with 12 candidates,

-Sand Shinobi had 3 successful advancements,

-Mist Shinobi also advanced 3,

-Cloud Shinobi had 3 pass through,

-Rock Shinobi saw 3 of their own advance, and

-Rain Shinobi surprisingly advanced with 9 candidates.

These outcomes were both expected and astonishing. Konoha's dominance wasn't surprising, given its reputation as the premier Ninja Village, coupled with the home-ground advantage. However, the significant advancement of Rain Shinobi raised eyebrows, hinting at a potentially stronger future ninja force compared to the other four villages.

"Haha~ Has Konoha secretly formed an alliance with Rain Shinobi?" Onoki quipped, eyeing the Fourth Hokage and the stoic Konan. Despite the history of conflict between Konoha and Rain Shinobi, the results prompted speculation.

"Master Tsuchikage, you jest," the Fourth Hokage responded with a light smile, his eyes betraying a hint of surprise at Rain Shinobi's performance. Konan, however, remained unfazed, as if the results were within her expectations—a testament to her confidence.

Rasa and the Raikage exchanged looks. "Hmph! The real test of their abilities will be in the third round's individual matches," Raikage commented dismissively, skeptical of Rain Shinobi's prowess.

The third exam's individual matches were eagerly anticipated, held in Konoha's largest training ground, surrounded by stands filled with spectators from various villages. Yuki, given his stature in Konoha, had a VIP seat, keenly observing the proceedings. The confrontation between his Quincy-transformed subjects and those of Sage Transformation promised intrigue.

Kurenai Yūhi took the stage as the chief examiner. "I am Kurenai Yūhi, your chief examiner for the third exam!" Her presence commanded attention, her reputation preceding her.

"Is that the famed Kurenai Yūhi? Her aura is truly exceptional!" Terumi Mei noted with admiration, respecting the formidable kunoichi.

"Konoha appointing an examiner of such caliber—is this a show of force?" Onoki remarked, slightly bitter.

The Raikage huffed, though he too recognized the gravity of Kurenai's appointment. "Hehe~ Let's just enjoy the examination," the Fourth Hokage said, maintaining an air of innocence amidst the competitive atmosphere.

In fact, he has a bit of a mischievous side, that's what it means!

Isn't the joint Chunin exam an opportunity to showcase your strength to the outside world?

"The content of this exam is a personal battle.

Two ninjas are randomly selected to engage in a one-on-one duel.

As everyone watched, the electronic display overhead quickly cycled through names until it settled on two: Uchiha Sasuke vs. Kidomaru.

Ah, it's a clash between two of Yuki-sensei's former students! Yuki leaned forward, adjusting his glasses with interest.

"Hmm," Sasuke stepped onto the stage, filled with confidence, eager to demonstrate the prowess of the Uchiha clan.

"Unlucky kid! You're up against me," Kidomaru boasted, confident in the curse seal's power granted by his master.

"The Uchiha clan's newcomer is the first match?" Rasa observed, recalling the challenges the Uchiha posed during the Battle at Kikyo Mountain. "Let's see how strong this new generation is."

"That boy from the Rain Village, Kidomaru, is it? I'm curious why they advanced so many," the Fourth Raikage mused, skeptical of Rain Village's talent.

"Go for it, Sasuke!" Naruto shouted encouragement, backed by cheers from the rest of Konoha's youth.

"Show Konoha what we're made of, let Yuki-sensei see our prowess!" the Rain ninja responded, not to be outdone.

With that, Sasuke and Kidomaru approached the center of the arena, as instructed by Kurenai.

"The first personal battle: Uchiha Sasuke vs. Kidomaru. Begin!"

At Kurenai's signal, she vanished from sight with a swift movement, leaving the two combatants to rush towards each other.

Without wasting words, they initiated combat. 

Let the battle commence!
