Solid world building story. Could cut out a lot of useless harem and depravity stuff. Even took in his own sister. String pro-German male ideaology. Pretty much sexist. Depicts woman as submissive beings fighting over a man’s attention and scheming. Timelines aren’t too realistic and the strategy could be better. The wars get a bit boring due to technological superiority at a vast scale. All the opponents are somehow stupid and rash. Read more for fun than seriousness.
I'm already at the latest chapter, 781 and so far it was an amazing year reading this everyday, to anyone who thinks the harem tag is a problem I will tell no it's not.. ... The author clearly did his researches because the explanation is not BS, very detailed, you will actually learn if you search it up.. ..... the MC is ruthless that's all I can say to him lol, everyone in his harem have their roles, important one , so there won't be a situation where there's not enough screen time or something .... now I'm excited how the MC and his past lover are going to meet, how are they going to recognize each other, are they going to conquer the world ... I can't wait to see.. ... This is a fun read
One of the better kingdom building novels on this platform(in my opinion) but not without any flaws the main character progressively gets more and more unlikable getting more and more nationlistc to the point where the mcs wife thinks it's alright for her to gun down peasants fleeing from a war to there border because there not German I guess assuming the mc would be okay with it cuz apparently the MC hates all non-germans according to her understanding of him
This novel just weaved in so many of my favorite genres and passions it’s kinda hard not to love it. First it is a semi historical set in like an alternate early to mid 1400s but the twist it has is that the main character has modern mechanical engineering knowledge. The novel interweaved what seems to be crusader kings, Europa universalis 4, and the isekai genre. If you decide to pick up this novel, you will see court intrigue, warfare, conquest, nation building, romance (with some “plot”), and a whole lotta guns. What I believe truly sets this novel apart however is that the main character is by no means perfect and actually adapts to the environment he finds himself in. First, he is in the gray for morality, second in introducing modern technology you won’t see machine guns or tanks versus knights, and third, he can become cocky and gets burned for it. As for adapting to the environment, our protagonist is an atheist, yet recognizes the importance of religion, he does not try to implement a modern justice system, but an extremely harsh one, as well as other things you can find out along the way. As for the other characters, they are all interesting and have at least one unique point about them and their interactions with the story. TL;DR a great novel that brings to life history in a traditional and fun way
A kingdom building novel done well. My only knock is that the MC has a pretty drastic change in behavior over a short period of time. To me, that change is a bit of a stretch on reality or he's just a psychopath lol. Still, I find that wayyyy better than a story in which the mc is constantly fighting a morality issue in their head or one that's just inept (or worse--dumb) at making decisions because they fail to rise to the challenge. It's also a nice change of pace to have the setting in a slightly altered earth. Not only does that make it more relatable, but as a map fanatic, there is no better map out there than Google maps lol
The author disseminates untruths about the Middle Ages, thinking that people did not wash when in fact they enjoyed baths, washed their bodies and hair, had good dental hygiene and washed their hands before and after every meal. The actor describes his MC as spreading handwashing which is completely ridiculous because it was common knowledge to wash your hands before and after every meal. The author is probably confusing the renaissance with the Middle Ages.
This story is not your average kingdom building. The narration is excellent the little world building that has been shown is also interesting even if not very different from our reality. What I like most is the rhythm of the story the author writes his story with a metriser tempo you really get the impression that he knows what he is doing. Good continuation!
I liked it in the few 2 to 3 hundreds but even then the main character kind went crazy that I feel come out of nowhere I keeped read hope it got better but just got worse him do thing that I feel a person as smart as him would not do mistakes he would do and morel I can connect but I liked most of the book I read when he was kicking to people that deserved it and him build hi kingdom
I’m truly surprised that this novel doesn’t have more exposure. I look forward to every update, I simply can’t get enough of it; the world building is simply great, as is all the historical knowledge. If you’re reading this review and haven’t already read the novel, I implore you to do so, you won’t regret it.
