Chapter 11: Heartthrob

They got off the bus as they stood in front of a huge golden gate, with a big billboard written UNIQUE HIGH in capital letters.

The school was really beautiful, Mom was right, I think I'd love it here..Lyn smiled to herself.

She glanced at Jace, how was also loving the school already ^~^

They walked in as they were showed their classrooms.. as they walked through the hallway, students walked back and forth,

Some groups of girls walked passed them, Ashlyn couldn't help but notice how classy they were, she didn't expect anything less, cause Mom had already told her all about the school, most top personnel in the City enrolled their kids here.

She wondered how she'd fit in, making new friends and all of that.

Still, she kept her head high and walked with Jace, he had trouble walking as she held him with an arm on his shoulder.

Just about they were about to walk into the Classroom.. A guy who looked like trouble stood at the entrance of the classroom, blocking their way.

They approached him , and wondered why he stood in the way knowing that others would walk into the classroom.

Lyn needed to be polite,it was her first day here and she wouldn't love to record trouble of how her first day in school went when mom asked.

Drake, a famous basket ball player in Unique High. The school Heartthrob, he was the hottest guy in school, he was so charming, he certainly had girls drooling. Every girl wanted to get a scent of his cologne. He had always won all school's basketball competitions, he was quite popular, this made girls crazy over him.. he was always seen with his guys.. they were about five of them.

Seemed he was just by the class window.. who is she? He asked looking at Lyn.

She's a New student, she just got here.. Ray replied with his eyes still on Lyn.

New?, she's quite courageous if she stood up to Bob, I mean, almost half of the school are scared of him. He had a serious face.

Well.. I think I'd like her kind of person if she did. Max cut in.

Drake turned to him, Quite. He replied with a grin. Then he turned to the fight that went on.

Excuse us .

The Guy just stood pretending not to hear a word she said. He looked like a gangster, maybe he's one of the bad guys here.

Didn't you hear what I just said. Lyn was now pissed. Just then the guy turned to look at her.

Hey Miss, you just got here.. I'm not sure you know me around here. He replied with a stiff smile.

Lyn was about saying when Jace spoke up. Hey dude! Why don't you just let us through?

He turned to him. Hey, Man! I don't remember asking you any question.

Get out of my way, otherwise I'd call the Authority!. She yelled.

Arianna and her minions walked in to see the commotion..

She kept her hands across her chest as she grinned .

What's happening there. She said as she leaned at the corner.

It's a Newbie, you know how it is for all Newbies.. Alayna smirked.

I enjoy watching this.. Arianna had that evil smile as she glared at Ashlyn.

Don't make me.. a Voice cut her off.. as she turned to see who it was.

What's going on here?? The Principal turned to Lyn.

You're new here, ain't you?

Yes, Ma'am I am, but you see, this guy here blocked my way, he's trying to create trouble. She turned to Bob as he averted his gaze.

The principal angrily turned to him. Bob, you've been such a nuisance, you've been warned not once, not twice.. she scolded.

Lyn stood watching the Principal scold him.

And you! What are you all looking at? To your classes everyone! She yelled at the students who stood by. Then she turned to Bob who already regretted his actions.

See me in my office, right now! .. she was really strict with her glasses. She walked out to her office. Bob immediately followed,he already knew what awaited him. And it was trouble.

Ha! Serves him right! Lyn screamed inside. As she smiled at Bob walking away from them.

They got in, and sat quietly waiting for the teacher.

Some girls came to meet them.. Hi I'm Mae she said smiling at them.

Mmm.. I'm Ashlyn. She replied, surprised that she actually made friends quickly. Of course she didn't expect that.

These are my Friends, Juliana, Paisley, Julie, and Lauren

She introduced, and each of the girls replied with a Hi immediately their name were mentioned.

Hi, nice meeting you girls. Ashlyn smiled back.

We loved what you did back there, it was so fun to watch.. Juliana chuckled

Yes, he was always trouble! Mae agreed.

We can all be friends right? Lauren widened her eyes in excitement.

Yes, we can. Ashlyn blinked and nodded. Jace was so busy with his phone as he didn't notice Lyn speaking.

They had a break and they went to the Cafeteria. They were seated at a table .

Ashlyn?? Who is this guy with you? Paisley smiled at Jace.

Oh!, meet Jace, Jace, paisley, Lauren, mm.. she found it hard remembering all their names, cause she just got to know them.

Mae, Juliana and Julie.. Mae reminded.

Yes, them.. she looked awkward.

Mm.. are we just going to sit here or someone would go get us something to eat.. I'm starving!! Mae frowned.

Ooops, it will would be on me.. Paisley got up.

I've got my card here Paisley. Ashlyn searched for her card in her bag..

Shhh.. you're our friend now, let it be on my treat okay? She smiled as she got up and left to get food..

I don't think she'd handle it alone, I'd go help.. Julie stood up and left.

Soon after they came back and the table were filled with food.

Immediately Mae spotted the guys approaching them..

Ashlyn? Here comes our school Heartthrob.. and there comes my Ray she giggled as she kept her cool, checking her nails.

Hey, girls. Max walked to Julie as he kissed her on the cheek.

Ray walked to Mae, Zack to Lauren, and Angelo to Paisley .

Gosh! What we happening right here.. they all had their partner and it left Ashlyn looking awkward as she just smiled slightly and averted her gaze.

Lauren saw how uncomfortable Lyn was. Ashlyn, Jace, Meet Max, Angelo, Zack, Ray and Drake. They all said Hi except for Drake who just shrugged silently.

Hi.. Lyn waved. Then she ate her food slowly.

Mm.. we'd just leave you guys okay? They took Jace along, leaving the girls to enjoy a peaceful lunch.

Mm.. sorry about Drake, he could be that way at times.. he had always had girls around all through high school, you should know what I mean.. Lauren explained.

Lyn nodded, as her eyes went on Drake who sat at the other table Talking.

He's a Famous Basketball player, the school Heartthrob, isn't he hot ? She raised both her brows smiling at Ashlyn..

He's okay.. she continued eating.

Just Okay?? Come on! Don't you like him? Mae teased.

No, of course not!, he's seem rude to me, he didn't even say Hi. No, I don't like him, not at all. She sipped from her juice box.

You'll get to like him, once you know him okay? He's a nice guy, trust me. Mae explained as she turned to Drake who ate his sandwich Charmly.

Can't you see? Everything he does screams perfection!! Mae held Lyn's arms.

Lyn could only smile slightly as she didn't had a word to say.
