Twilight in Obsidian

“Please take me with you,” the woman whispered. Her voice was dry and hoarse, her body trembled like a leaf on an unsettled wave. Was it because of the crime she had just committed, or was it because of the aura the man before her gave off? She must be sick, both in and out of the head. Everything in her said not to ask for help, or at least not to ask him for help, nevertheless, here she was bowing her head down before him. “Now, why would I do that?” His dark, airy voice filled her ears. His voice sent shivers down her spine, making her freeze in her spot. Her head sank to the floor, unmoving. “I do anything from cleaning to washing, and cooking,” she said, muttering her words, timidly. The man hunched down to her size and uttered, his breath tickling her neck. “Have you met me before?” “No, but I can—” She began to say, as if he were contemplating her request but was quickly interrupted. “Don't be so quick to sell yourself to death.” Passing through her, he left her to crumble on the ground. °∆° "Did you think I would let you go after I found you? Do you know how long I have waited for this moment?” His voice deepened with each word that fell off his lips. The woman stepped back, not wanting to get close to this terrifying man. “I am being truthful, Your Highness. I don't know you, Your Majesty, our families haven't met for any reason. So please let me go,” she whispered. Her body touched the wall. Now she was stuck between the wall and the terrifying man. “Please, My Lord, I don't know what you are talking about,” She whimpered. He placed his strong hands on her hip, giving it a light squeeze as he pulled her closer to his chest. He whispered into her ears, “I missed you so much, it's been a long while, My love” He placed his head on hers °∆° R18 PLEASE NOTE THAT THE BOOK COVER ISN'T MINE, IT WAS FOUND AND REDESIGNED BY ME. Stressed Bunasis

Editing in Progress…

~Chapter 54~

"So, to sum it up, you have three higher god siblings," He recalled and Bunasis nodded. "One is aiming to kill his mate because he lacked self-confident?"

"Don't phrase it like that," She corrected, as she felt and understood Sephtis lack of confidence he had for his domain. But not the part where he plans on killing his mate. No, that part she didn't understand.

"I will phrase my words how I like to, thank you very much"

Bunasis only rolled her eyes as she nodded for him to continue, "Then you have the brother whose mate and memory is the source of the immortal realm memory"

"Yes"

"And then you have the one who is eager for his mate that he is ready to pile additional work to his fellow being, even though it is not in her line of work?"

"Exactly. You have gotten everything in perfect order. Now you are up-to-date on what is going on around the Alverton"

"I see," Zahohr thought to himself. He was quiet for a while, and Bunasis let him be. After all, he was thinking of solutions to help her.

"I have two thoughts, okay? Firstly, you will give Astus problem to the rightful people that can solve it," She nodded, and he continued, "I will go visit Sephtis–"

"Why?" Bunasis asked suddenly, which earned a raised brow‌ to her brother.

"I just want to know" she shrugged her shoulders like she wasn't very curious about it previously.

"Well, since he is not taking it serious since he is getting it as a sweet dream? Then why don't I give him a nightmare?" He smiled, but it was one of those creepy smiles.

"I see, that makes sense" Bunasis thought about it for a while. "What about Diysus?" she asked, hoping he had a solution for that problem.

"I personally would prefer to it if you let it go. As it seems like it is controlled by what he dreams about." He reasoned calmly to his sister.

"And most of his dreams will come from his perspective, not from a general viewpoint, therefore you wouldn't still know how or why we lost our memories"

Bunasis bit her lips till she broke her skin, and it pooled blood. "JUST SO, YOU EXPECT ME TO JUST ACCEPT THAT THE ENTIRE IMMORTAL REALM HAD MEMORY LOSS!!!?" She shouted, shooting up from her seat as she slammed her hands hard on the table. Her hair swayed with the air that slapped on her angry face.

"Yes," Zahohr answered truthfully. "Zahohr, I am talking about the fact that you ALL, and I really mean ALL, the citizens of Alverton had memory loss, even you. And you want me to forget about it?"

"Yes. Not forget about it, but don't put it above other things like Sephtis and Diysus mates and even that curse JINX of AGONY. If I remember clearly, it has being released from where it was sealed off in the human realm," He replied calmly, trying to talk some sense into his sister's thick head.

His sister was just being emotional and didn't want to see the truthful that is plainly in her front. After all, it is unbelievable that ALL the residents of Alverton all had memory loss.

Bunasis crumbled to the floor as she held her legs in her arms. She knew! She knew she had to come to terms with the memory loss. Bunasis must have probably prayed for someone to agree with her on it so it wouldn't be like she was the only going crazy. But it was a fact. Her fellow gods and goddesses didn't care about it. After all, they had being going on with their lives since the war ended. Before the announcement of the memory loss. They had being going about their lives without care.

Bunasis knew, logically speaking, there was really nothing she could do about it than to either ignore it or patiently see what happens in the foreseeable time.

Zahohr squatted to his sister's height as he wrapped his arms around her small, shaken'd body. "It would be alright"

"Would it really be?" she asked, lifting her head as she placed it on his shoulders. Soft, thick tears gathered in her eyes.

"Yes, it will be! After all, you have me," He reassured, while inserting himself into the mix.

The single knock hit the door as a voice came immediately after it, "Lord Zahohr, Lady Bunasis, I bring you your treats"

Bunasis sighed as she and Zahohr stood from their position. Zahohr whisked his sister's eyes.

"Come in," He ordered as he pulled his hands away from his sister's face.

The serf came in with her back, pushing the door open. She bowed at them before walking towards them as she placed the tray on the table. She stepped around them and picked the chair that had fallen over and the pieces of papers that flew around when Bunasis had hit the table in annoyance.

The serf took out a piece of rag and wiped the few drops of ink that also spilled from her, hitting the table.

"That would be all you can leave now," Zahohr spoke again. The serf nodded with a bow, before leaving with her back, pushing the doors opened. Bunasis hadn't said a word to the serf, as she was worried her voice would most likely come out crooked.

"Have you calmed down?" Zahohr asked as he was hesitant to let go of his sister. She timidly nodded, as he slowly let her go. Once Zahohr was sure she would not break down again, he turned and poured her a golden nectar. Handing it to her, he poured some for himself.

Bunasis sat back down as she began getting herself back to normal. She breathed calmly as she lifted her head to her brother, catching him chewing on some crackers.

Bunasis smiled to herself. She was always going to be indebted to her brother during times like this. She didn't know what suddenly made him come to see her, but she was sincerely grateful to him.

"You should stop staring, I am always going to be here, so there is no need to burn my profile into your head," He stated as he playfully flicked her forehead, earning a pout from her.

She rubbed on the spot as she spoke. "So we are heading to Shidal now?" She took the chance to chew on a cracker as she waited for her brother's response.

"Yes… Then I will go pay our dear underworld ruler" He smiled. But Bunasis had a worried look on her face as she thought of what Sephtis would do to her.

"Don't just overdo it." She warned.

Zahohr snorted as he replied, "Pssh! How is he going to know?"

"I am serious, Zahohr"

"I will try my possible best" He amused, as a playful look played across his face. She sighed as she looked up. 'Sephtis is definitely going to give me an earful'

She held her brother's hands as they both disappeared at the same time.

Hincour Peak

Astus reluctantly sat on his radiant throne, with his legs crossed, as he begrudgingly listened to the news his subject had brought. But in all truthfulness, the God was not listening. His attention would always drift off whenever it could, and he would never try to change or bring himself back to reality.

After all, what he was thinking about was his beautiful mate. Hecca.

Astus had truthfully within himself believed that he had gotten over the pain of losing Hecca. But now his two brothers -Diysus and Sephtis both suddenly had dreams of their mates.

Why?

Why did he have to lose his mate even before they had time to grow together? He sighed pitifully at himself as he sunk deeper into his throne.

He missed his mate. Astus was riddled with jealous for his brothers. He was the first to get a mate, and he relished in that joy, but he was also the first to lose his. And just any loss, it was such an enormous loss that her body hadn't being found till date.

But there was one thought that concussed his mind.
