Reckless part 3

"Ohhhhhhhh." Hannah gushed 

" Stop it. I am not entertaining this, you should know me better." Alyssa reprimanded Hannah 

" I did not say anything, well except for the fact that your red gown is calling ALL the attention in here today." Hannah said with a grin 

" Not true. Besides I am not the only person wearing the colour red here tonight." Alyssa said 

" True but you look sizzling in it, more so than the others," Biacana added supporting Hannah 

" Enough of that, so what is the deal with Areela sending invites to celebrities?" Alyssa asked to change the subject

" Oh, I don't know maybe because of the late publicity of late," Biacana said shrugging. 

"Oh..." Alyssa said 

" Oh no, do not take it personally, we know that the rumors about you are false." One student said. She was one of the non-M students.

" We are on your side." Added another student next to the first student who commented. 

" Thank you, we really appreciate it." Alyssa said offering them a brief smile 

" I am Alyssa by the way. This is Hannah and over there, Melissa." 

" Oh! Where are my manners? I am so sorry, I forgot to introduce you guys. Alyssa, Hannah, and Dovie, meet Lara and Kim." 

" Hi"

" Hi"

" Pleased to meet you guys." The girls politely greeted each other. 

" Okay, now that we all know each other, let us go back to our main agenda tonight!! Let us partyyy!" Bianca shouted 

" Hang on,I still do not understand. Why would A list celebrities want to attend a college masquerade party?" Alyssa asked 

"Yaeh, what would they gain. I get that the school image depends on this but they won't get anything out of this." Dove said 

" Forgive my intrusion ladies but I overheard something that I believe I can give clarity." A male voice with a rich accent interjected their conversation

"Adian? Hi, it has been a well. But why are you speaking like that?" Alyssa 

" To make me sound more elegant? Besides how did you know it is me?" Adian said 

" Dude, your mask is written Adian in calligraphy close to your cheeks," Bianca said 

" And just to add, you sound like you swallowed a hot potato or something," Hannah added 

" Whatever, you guys do not appreciate art," Adian said in his natural voice.

" The celebrities here will definitely benefit. They are attending a party at which they might see and form connections with the hottest and most demanded surgeon in the market currently. I mean who wouldn't want that?" Aidan said 

" You mean, Mr Evans will be here tonight?" Gushed Lara 

" Arghhh, he is such a dream." Kim added with a sigh

" So they are leaving all behind just to meet some surgeon?" Hannah asked clearly not impressed.

" Some surgeon? Did you just say some surgeon?" Kim and Lara echoed each other 

" Well, let us educate you a bit. Dr Evans is a 5 time winner of the best doctor in the field of medicine award along with 2 other accolades for being internationally reowned, 1 PSA ( prestigious service award), he is charming and the youngest handsome dreamy guy to have had his own biography and a building named after him." The girls said with a huff.

Adian laughed and said, " yes, they have summed it up nicely for you guys." 

" Are you okay, Alyssa?" Everyone turned and realized that Alyssa had lowered her head and the majestic air around her had disappeared and was replaced by a sad feel around her. 

" Um? Yes, I am fine." She said

" Bianca, I will take you up on that dancing offer, standing here is getting boring." Alyssa said 

" What? But you do not dance." Dove and Hannah exclaimed 

" Well, there is a first time for everything." Alyssa said and left with Bianca, Kim and Lara shortly after they said their good byes.

Alyssa had a lot on her mind and all she wanted was to keep the intruding thoughts out of her mind and since she could not drink, at least she would attempt dancing. The dance was elegant and subtle. They were dancing with random partners according to who is next to the other when the music stops, more like musical chairs only they do not sit but change dance partners. 

Alyssa danced for quite a while and decided to get fresh air afterwards, she went to the garden close to the venue for a walk. The garden was maze-like and it was easy for people to get lost for hours but she did not care. She was in her own zone feeling the air trickling with every fiber of her skin, with her eyes set on the stars as they were shining brightly that night.

 (rustle, crack) 

Her breath hitched as she was deep in the garden and someone was definitely following her.

She stopped walking and listened when the wooshing sounds disappeared and when she started walking again, she could hear the sounds again so she stopped once more and the sounds disappeared yet again!

' maybe coming out here was a bad idea' she thought subsequently after this thought she started walking again and this time she walked faster. 

She ended running through the garden without keeping track of the route she was taking and going further and further into the garden and the deeper she went the creepier the creepy feeling she felt. Her dress was a bit troublesome for her to run in but she managed.

She also noticed that when she started running, she could hear more clear loud footsteps followimg her.

' The person is also running' she thought

Alyssa was now starting to panic because she did not have anything for self defense and she did not even have her phone with to contact her friends because Hannah asked for it earlier because she lost hers somehow. 

Breathing heavily and panting, Alyssa frantically searched her mind for a way out because the creepy feeling was settling in, the person behind her seemed to be closing in on her and it did not seem like he was a nice person. 

Alyssa ran and ran and ran but she could not find an alternative way out of the garden and now her panic was fullblown while anxiously looking for a route or an opening for her way out something or someone suddenly pulled her arm towrds some trees. 

Alyssa yelped and tried to screamed but her mouth was covered before she could and she heard him saying, 

" You are either stupid or reckless for walking alone in a garden at night. Now, Which one would suit you better?" The perpetrator whispered softly in her one ear.
