The Talk

Raheem headed back to Sasha's place. He got there and saw Nikki getting ready to leave. She saw him and backed up next to him. "Raheem, I like you so I'm going to give you the benefit of doubt, but don't you dare break her heart or I will break you." She drove away, but stopped and backed up again. "Under no circumstances are you to have sex in my house." She glared at him. Raheem nodded his head in agreement.

Raheem watched as she turned the corner and disappeared from his sight. He pulled into the driveway. He went to the door to knock, but Sasha opened it for him. She walked away and went to the kitchen. Raheem walked inside and shut the door behind him. He could feel how anxious and nervous Sasha was, he also felt a hint of anger.

He realized a picture was missing from the wall. "Raheem I'm in the kitchen." He didn't dwell on the missing picture anymore and went to the kitchen. Sasha was standing by the microwave with a cup of coffee.

Raheem sat down at the counter and looked around. Sasha didn't say anything. Raheem caved in and finally broke the silent atmosphere. "Wow, even when you are just waking up, you still look amazing." He rubbed his hands and looked away from her. "Do not start, flattery is not going to change anything. Raheem just tell me what's going on, I'm a big girl. I can handle my shit ok." She set her cup down and sat across from him.

Raheem wanted to look away, but she cupped his face. "Raheem, what are you so afraid of? I don't think there is anything you can do to make me walk away from this." Raheem looked at her face then her eyes, her big beautiful brown eyes. "I have something to tell you...I just don't know where to even begin." Sasha leaned back and gave him time to collect his thoughts.

"Ok, I think it would be better if I show you, but you have to promise me that you won't freak out." Sasha didn't know what he was going to show her, but she nodded her head anyways. Raheem stood up and backed away from the chair. He took one last look at her then he closed his eyes and shifted.

Moments went by and he didn't hear any yelling or stuff being knocked over. He finally opened his eyes and saw Sasha standing as far away as possible holding a knife. He felt instant regret, he didn't need to smell or feel to know what she was feeling in that moment. Her face said it all. He transformed back and tried to walk towards her.

"Stop! Stay away from me you monster!" She swung the knife in his direction. Her breathing was all over the place, her face pale and she couldn't stop shaking. "Please, please just let me explain. I would never hurt you." Raheem's voice was cracking, as he pleaded for her to just let him speak. She wouldn't let him, she threw her cup at him.

Raheem made no attempt at dodging or blocking it. It shattered upon contact, he finally stopped trying to get close to her. "Sasha...I..I don't know what I can say or do for you to calm down." "There's nothing you can say! You freak! You aren't even supposed to exist, so just go back to being fake!" Every word she screamed at him made his already fragile heart, completely break.

Raheem looked at her in complete disbelief. His disbelief soon turned into anger. "What happened to nothing can make me walk away huh!!?" He threw the plate that was on the counter at the wall. Sasha jumped when the plate broke into a million pieces. "I trusted you! Do you have any idea how much I just risked!?" Raheem started to pick up the chair and throw it, but saw his reflection in the window.

His ears wear pointy, he had fangs, claws, and blood red eyes. There two streams trailing from them to. He sat the chair down and wiped them. The kitchen went quiet as he calmed himself, Sasha was too scared to move from the corner. Raheem stood up again and walked towards her.

She swung the knife wildly at him. He ignored it, the knife cut his shirt and jacket, but not his skin. He took the knife away and chucked it at the picture of them on the table by the couch. He wrapped her in a hug. "I'm sorry for scaring you and for just dumping something like this on you. I want you to know that I won't ever hurt you or your family. I thought you would understand, but I forgot that you was human, humans are naturally afraid by what they can't understand." He let her go and backed away from her.

She watched him as he picked up the pieces of broken glass. He even picked up her broken cup. She wanted to reach out and give him a hug. She wanted to apologize for the way that she acted, she just wanted everything to go back to the way it was before. Raheem felt her nervousness and simply ignored it.

He walked to the door to leave. "Raheem...I'm.-" "Don't. Don't even finish that sentence Sasha." On his way out he left his helmet. "Ok I won't, but don't worry I won't tell anyone about you." Raheem left without even a response. He no longer cared whether or not she told anyone.

He rode his bike home and left Sasha by herself.

Sasha stood in the kitchen remembering what she had seen. She was trying her best to not throw up, not because she was disgusted at Raheem's transformed state, but because she was disgusted with herself. She felt awful at the way she reacted. 'No, he is a monster that shouldn't even exist. He could've killed you before you even blinked. He didn't hurt me! I swung a knife and tried to kill him. The only thing he did was give me a hug and tell me it wasn't my fault.'

She was having conflicted thoughts, on one hand she felt relief that he was finally gone, on the other one she desperately wanted him to hug her and sooth her. She started crying and ruining her makeup. She got up off the floor and went to the bathroom. She looked at herself in the mirror. "You should feel ashamed! He did nothing buy care about you. He trusted you and what did you give him in return!? Huh!? You gave him hate instead of love. Fear instead of courage and worst of all, you gave him betrayal."

She calmed herself down and washed her face. She sniffled and looked again in the mirror. "You have to live with seeing his betrayed and mad emotions, for the rest of you life. You took a good person and have probably turned them into something else." She turned off the lights and went to her room to sleep.
