Breaking the Table

Raheem rubbed the bridge of his nose. He was tired. The weight of everything was starting to make his back and knees bend. He felt as if he wasn't able to take a deep breath without choking.

He was starting to lose himself in the madness. He felt a hand on his back.

"Hey, my man! The man with all the plans." Stiles could feel Raheem was in some kind distress. "Take me with you. I wanna see this other Earth. I also want to meet the other me. What if I'm handsome and a social media influencer? What if I'm some secret agent spy? Better yet, maybe I'm blessed with a huge pen -"

Raheem elbowed him before he could finish the last one. He chuckled at his antics. "Thanks." Stiles didn't say anything and just wrapped his arm around him. "Pff, don't worry about it." He waved his thanks off

"When are we leaving?" Raheem grabbed him and thought the word door. Before Stiles could react, he threw him in. He followed right after him.

John was pointing a gun at Stiles face, who was on the floor. Raheem paused. John looked at him, and he looked back between him and Stiles. "Stiles, how the hell did you lose? You aren't even a regular human."

John wanted to ask what he meant, but Stiles pushed his hand forwards and he hit the wall. He grunted and went for his other gun, but it was crushed in Stiles' hands. "Wow, there now relax. I'm friends with the boss." He did a horrible Italian impersonation. He included the hand gestures to.

Raheem once again rubbed the bridge of his nose. This time from annoyance. "Stiles let him down. John, don't attack us. Give me a minute to explain." Stiles dropped him and sat on the bed.

"What are you?" John asked.

"He's a God, and I'm his apostle. My job is to find believers so join our cu-." Raheem launched him out of the window. "Ignore him. I'm...a God in a sense of things. Specifically of beasts and animals."

"Is heaven and hell real?" John calmly asked. Stiles came back in from climbing back up.

"Yep! You should already know where you are going." Stiles said as he shook off the dirt and glass. Raheem glared at him. Stiles raised his hand in surrender.

"Why are you even here in my room? I thought we were going to meet at the airport."

"We were, but I wanted to see if I could talk you out of coming."

Raheem shook his head. "Forget it. I'm planning on breaking apart the table, and for that, I need an audience with them. I'm surprised you are taking everything so well."

"I saw you come through a glowing door. I know I'm not drugged and that I'm awake since I can tell time. The sword you have me can cut through concrete and steel like butter. There is no record of you existing. It's not that hard to realize you are someone special. I just wasn't expecting you to be this special."

There was nothing Raheem could do. He thought he was hiding in plain sight, but apparently not.

"Hey Raheem. We should break the high table and then rebuild it." Raheem looked at Stiles to continue.

"I know you hate the idea of controlling people, but just hear me out. We have an ancient organization after us. This world has an ancient organization. What if we use them to fight ours. They have the resources, army, and experience."

Raheem didn't like the idea of controlling people, but Stiles' plan had some pretty good points.

"Excuse me. What he said is true." John honestly just wanted the table to be gone.

"Fine. Let's go and take over the table. Stiles, it was your plan, so I'm making you responsible. John, I want you to take a seat at the table and choose some people you can trust."

They both nodded with serious expressions on their faces. John stood up to leave but was stopped. He was confused but then he saw the glowing door.

"John, I forgot to mention. I own this entire planet. There is no place I can't go to." Raheem tossed a suit to Stiles and walked through the door. John watched Stiles clumsily hop on one foot as he put his shoes on.

Stiles looked at him. "Ladies first." He said as he stood up. John paid him no attention. He checked his guns and made sure the sword was strapped tightly to his back.

On the other side, he came out in an alley way. Stiles bumped into him. "Jeez dude, don't just stand in front of the door.

"John, when is this Ms. Santiago supposed to show up?"

"In three days."

"Ok, in the meantime, let's sight see." Stiles pumped the air with a smile. John just went along with it. Raheem gave a small smile at him. "Don't worry, John. I will explain everything to you."

Three days later

Raheem, Stiles, and John were outside of the venue waiting to get in. In the last three days, John's perspective of the universe and life itself had changed drastically. He knew information that if the pope were to hear, he would go insane and brand them as heretics of the church.

"How are we going to get in? They aren't just going to let us see the boss." Raheem smiled and patted Stiles on his back. "Of course not. That's your job, go and clear the way for us." Stiles grumbled, but he made the bouncer let them in. Raheem and John went to the bar and sat down.

"Are you sure we should let him do this himself?" John was skeptical of Stiles. He had already deemed him as unreliable in his mind. "Haha John, you only ask that since you have never seen him serious. His ability to act stupid and goofy is what makes him special. You will just don't blink." John grabbed his glass and watched the dance floor.

Stiles entered the crowd and started knocking people out while dismantling their weapons. He took their tasers and night sticks, though. He finished with the people on the bottom floor and headed up the stairs.

John couldn't believe his eyes. He watched Stiles disarm and incapacitate every guard. He did it so well that no one saw him, not even the guards on the second floor watching. He turned and looked at Raheem.

"See, I told you he could handle this. I don't make bad judgments when it comes down to people. Well, most of the time. Some just aren't cut out for the job." He drowned his cup. He tapped John on his shoulder as he got up. John swallowed his drink as well and followed behind him.

Stiles was on the third floor waiting in the hallway. Raheem fist bumped him and knocked on the door. John nodded his head in respect. They stood behind Raheem and waited for someone to answer the door.

A light skinned man opened up the door. John quickly told him. "Cassian, don't." He shook head no. Cassian looked around and saw all of the guards on the floor. He glanced at John. John looked at Stiles. Cassian eyes opened up, and he removed his hand from his gun.

"Ms. Santiago, you have guests." A woman voice answered back with a tired sigh. "Let them in."

He moved aside and let them enter. The three men entered the room and saw the infamous Ms. Santiago. She was sitting in a chair. She had a red robe with black roses on it.

"Gentleman, I hope you can be quick. I was just about to take a bath." She crossed her legs and put her head in her right palm. Raheem sat down across from her. "I will get straight to it then. I will be taking over the high table soon. I want you to set up a meeting and I will take it from there."

Santiago laughed at him. She realized he was serious. "Impossible. The high table rarely meets in person."

"You said Impossible at first, but then you said it rarely happens. That means it's possible." Raheem smiled.

They discussed what and how things would go down. John and Stiles caught chills as they listened to his plan. Santiago smiled ear to ear. The outcome was perfect for her. She could finally get away and have a normal life like she always wanted.

They shook hands with each other. She personally walked them out of the venue. This was a part of the plan.

They reached an alley, and Raheem summoned the door. "I will see you in a few weeks, John." He nodded and shook hands with Stiles. "Nice meeting you, John, and good luck on your end." He left with Raheem.
