Jiren POV

As I finish my exposition and start to leave.

Suddenly, I sense Veldora rushing towards me, most likely losing his composure due to the scaling soul damage he received.

What a revolting LV value…

He's two steps close to crossing the line with no return...

'Hmph. Impudent.', I think as I utilize more of my reserves in this limited state, deciding to send the humanoid storm worm back to his rightful place - the ground, with a slight tap to the neck area, charging it with karmic retribution, making him immediately pass out.

This is the only warning you will ever get, Dragon.

Before leaving, I send a telepathic message to the vampire stating my formal visit to her country, already planning to deeply observe what this world has to offer one by one. I was aware of its "characters", motivations and how many many things play out, however… one writer can never describe the sheer details one reality can entail. Particularly… that Hero. I narrow my eyes slightly, contemplating on how to solve the issue entirely, but get interrupted by the vampire.

Based on her haughty response, I can assume she was torn between the fact that she received damage and the unconscious Veldora below me who upon sight made her smile uncontrollably.

"What is your intention?", asks the midget vampire.

"Observation of this world.", I responded.

"And how exactly can I trust you, with you attacking everyone here?", a little peeved, retorts Luminous.

"You are asking a pointless question. I have no intention in getting involved with trifling matters, much less attacking/destroying a country that did nothing sufficient to warrant such actions.", I coldly reply as "that" word inspires some conflicting feelings.

"Tch. 1 week from now on. A person will escort you throughout the city and then to me, I presume you know where the city is?", responds Luminous with a pompous tone.

"Umu.", I confirm.

"If you hide the fact that you look like a monster and if you instruct the person that is going to meet you, no matter how much. It doesn't take long to notice you two are akin to bricks at a construction site. ", adds Luminous humorously as a condition that I was expecting, mostly due to being aware of the whole time travel nonsense, Luminous being in the thick of it, and my future actions I was about to execute. I nod.

I glance once more at Ramiris who confirms with a thumbs-up and a smile, then leave the room.

————————————

Same location of the fight with Milim.

————————————

I decided to start meditating and wait until Ramiris finishes her business.

I close my eyes, as I start to mildly float with rocks flying around me, now surrounded by a visible red aura that prevents any interruptions.

Sophie, inspect.

Lawful Neutral. Expected result.

Justice is blind. To be a judge, one has to weigh both the good and the bad on a mere scale without attributing additional weight to any with subjective feedback.

Stating oneself to be good in my particular case is hypocrisy even if I may seek it. Ultimately, it depends on the underlying focus.

Selflessness versus Selfishness

A noble cause may be hidden behind a deep reasoning that goes below even the conscious thoughts of the individual.

I pursued Justice because Justice brought closure. Closure to THAT.

Master taught that good exists in everyone, and the existence of justice. It is MY final memory of him. Master was right. True justice exists. But he lacked one thing. Might.

As much as it pains me to say it, he was weak. No. I was weak. I couldn't save him.

So I pursued MIGHT. I pursued JUSTICE.

All fell before my indomitable strength.

My name inspired immediate surrender, because it was pointless to struggle against the inevitable.

I had no need for any weakling concepts such as trust, I was absolute, the final trump card against any threat, the strongest.

Until.

I met him. Son Goku.

At first, I ignored such a foolish simpleton that posed no threat and eliminated notable contestants that were a threat to Universe 11. However, his myriad of transformations were noticed by Belmod and I stepped in to eliminate that threat as well.

He lost.

But he got up.

He lost.

BUT he got up.

It intrigued me. How can someone be so determined, for having seemingly no conviction towards anything besides the art of fighting?

He continually got stronger, he had broken his limits over and over again. His new power-ups were frankly nonsensical in nature, he improved so ridiculously in the span of 30 minutes that it made me question the "balance" of the Saiyan race.

He finally became a match for me.

I was losing in a fight.

Such a circumstance brought back terrible memories.

I was once again… 𝚑𝚎𝚕𝚙𝚕𝚎𝚜𝚜.

𝙱𝚞𝚝 𝙸 𝚕𝚘𝚜𝚝.

Not to Son Goku individually, both of us lost the strength to fight, but to… but to… T̷̫͉̰͕̒́Ŗ̴̪̈̄͞U̸̫̠̰͈̕S̵̶̮̬͖̄͑͟T̷̫͉̰͕̒́.

I was gazing upon the villain-hero combo as I got pushed out of the arena and I just… smiled.

At that moment, I realized.

I did not fight for GOOD.

My justice was not for GOOD, but a mere facade masquerading as such.

𝙸 𝚠𝚊𝚜 𝚏𝚒𝚐𝚑𝚝𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚏𝚘𝚛 𝚖𝚢𝚜𝚎𝚕𝚏.

I was in the past, constantly haunted by the nightmares of that moment, getting stronger in hopes I would obliterate my fears with sheer strength alone.

And the realization… 𝚜𝚎𝚝 𝚖𝚎 𝚏𝚛𝚎𝚎.

————————————

Am I the person to sacrifice myself for a race/humanity?

No. I am not the Hero who would be idealized by the masses to clean their behinds. To sacrifice myself for such a tiny cause is foolish. My scope now with dimensional travel is massively bigger than someone who is stuck on a planet. What makes this humanity here, better than anywhere else? In the long run, staying alive and continuing one's code that consequently leads to improved reality will do far more than a sentimental sacrifice.

The bite is perhaps too small, how about ALL of reality?

A foolish question.

Such a scenario will never occur.

Only when I am in a stage where I can affect such circumstances will I be able to do anything, therefore if I cannot - no moral obligation exists in the first place as the battleground is not mine due to lack of strength.

If I am in a position where I am able to affect such circumstances, there is no need to consider such a scenario, when the first action of any person should be to secure the situation with proper plans/structures. If those in any shape or form fail, others will inevitably form and rise as a replacement. If all else fails, the ultimate plan is punching it out of existence.

Portrayals of doomsday scenarios are usually an attempt to dramatize one's story and not necessarily a particular common occurrence in this complex reality system. Assumption will stay an assumption until it is proved by facts. And those facts will wait… This information is pointless right now and in the immediate future... How does one learn how to run without learning how to crawl?

Selflessness out of the picture, selfishness would be next to assess.

Would I conquer a planet to fulfill my non-existent sadistic tendencies, or perhaps wipe out humanity out because one looked at me wrong?

No.

I have no such desires, nor any need to do so. Such petty desires are beneath me. Evil for the sake of evil is worthless, and any benefit for the practicality is minimal. I have time. I have patience. Breaking my values for a mere power-up? Foolish.

Perspectives will vary, it is irrelevant.

I possess the privilege of experiencing and saying such descriptions simply because I am strong.

To be right is meaningless, when you lack the strength to enforce your thoughts. J̸̧̪̫̫̩̿͗͑̇̕͟û̶͙̽̿͆̈s̩͙͖̋͛͟t̴͕͖͓̀ ḻ̸͈ͧ͑̓̓̀͡i̵͓͙̱͚̎͟k̶̸͙̭̹͆͟ę̷̵̧̖̫̗̆̊ m̶̷͔ͪ̽͡y̯̤͑́́̓́ M̶̷̲̊ͥ͋͟ă̶̸̝ͦ͊̿͋͞s̩͙͖̋͛͟t̴͕͖͓̀ę̷̵̧̖̫̗̆̊r̶̷̲͍̭͐̾̀͟..

Justice is just a mere outlet for the strength to manifest, to cleanse these worlds of the filth that erode it, so THAT situation never happens again. All can change, and so can individuals - but everything is equal before judgment.

I am not obligated to do what I should do, but I will. Not due to a request from a rubbish machine, nor due to a "moral obligation from the goodness of my heart" but because I want to. This world, no, this existence lacks it.

100 million EP is sufficient for the current purposes. This world has much less individual energy quantity, but makes up for it with reality-breaking abilities that enable someone to fight a being millions of times more potent in the energy department. That problem was solved. As I am now… I cannot lose. I will not lose. Ever again.

The only one who may pose any sort of threat is the slime if he evolves too much… Hm. I assume he will understand himself by then, and the clash will not occur.

But.

There is a high possibility that he is the target that is affecting this reality negatively, based on simple reasoning that any other threat could have been removed by the slime in this specific timeline.

Unless the timeline has been tampered with further, and anomalies that shouldn't happen have happened resulting in even the slime losing...

In the end, if the issue is the soul fusion of the slime, I will utilize soul manipulation to get rid of it in advance so the nuisance of fighting an evil multiversal slime is not present. Next meeting.

Regardless, patience is paramount, understanding realities will yield far more benefit than immediately and blindly searching for the anomaly that may have not materialized yet.

So much to understand.. So much to synthesize...

*sigh*

————————————

unknown amount of hours later

————————————

I stop my meditation as I sense Ramiris appearing in a different location, seemingly out of nowhere. Walpurgis is over.

There exists no distinction currently between my spatial domination and pure movement speed in terms of time taken as I am way too fast, however… I'll test the teleportation.

I focus on the tiny aura that Ramiris exhibits, and I teleport.

————————————

Hmmm. I see.

I am essentially traveling through dimensions, folding space by doing so, making it infinitely shorter than it actually is. Just as if you'd fold a continent in half, throw a ki blast in the middle of it and therefore construct a visual representation of a wormhole that reduces the distance passed. It appears the dimension I go through is the same VOID I was in before…

Now, let's get this over with.

I focus on Ramiris who had her back turned to me and is chaotically fluttering like she's lost 99% of her brain cells, talking to the demon Beretta.

Beretta, finally noticing me, gets tense for a brief moment, then relaxes and tries to interrupt Ramiris by informing her of my presence.

Ramiris, finally getting still for a moment, hears Beretta , and looks back.

Upon seeing me she just… fainted??

What?

————————————

Decided to leave this exposition chapter inside, to decide on the inherent good/evil ratio of the protagonist.

Next chapter, I intend to have Jiren go to the Dwelling of the Spirits.

Have some idea about my story? Comment it and let me know.
