To Find: Season Finale (Sink Tape)

Story Tape #34

The tape begins with the screen being black, the sound of Just body dropping on the floor after getting kicked in the face. D.E.F.E.A.T spoke to his Shadow-Walkers.

"Take him to his cell, now. I'll deal with him once I get everything prepared for our new friend."

The sound of Just body being dragged and footsteps can be heard, slowly departing. The tape is silent, but only for a moment. The song (Cry Of The Unheard, By REPULSIVE) plays in the background, the camera showing Just getting dragged down a corridor as it gets tighter and tighter. One of the Shadow-Walkers dragging Soren opens the door to Just cell, throwing him inside as they walk inside the room with him. The two Shadow-Walkers proceed to remove Just clothing while talking with each other, removing his suit jacket and dress shirt; leaving him with only a tank-top. 

"I want his gloves."

The other Shadow-Walker spoke.

"I want his necklace. Perhaps if I were to wear it his God will give me things that I desire."

The Shadow-Walker reached to grab Just cross, holding onto it as a burning feeling quickly flows through its body. The Shadow-Walker pulled away as it looked down at its hand breaking into little flakes of its skin. The Shadow-Walker that wanted Just gloves started to laugh at the other one, kicking Just leg for the hell of it.

"Come on you fucking idiot. Your God is still helping you? Hmph. Not for long. D.E.F.E.A.T has something for you that even your God can't possibly prevent. See you soon duck boy."

Both of the Shadow-Walkers walked out of the dirty, musky cell. Having no beds, just an empty space with uncanny sets of faces as walls. Time went by since the Shadow-Walkers left, Just slowly waking up from being unconscious and receiving a massive headache from the kick. Just started to burst into tears looking up at the ceiling, dirty water droplets dripping down on his face, slowly trickling down his right cheek. He started to hear a jingle bell fading into his head, terrified as to what was going on as he quickly crawled back against the wall covering his ears. A message pops up on the screen, a demonic unfamiliar child-like voice speaking.

"Oh no! You've lost! There is no retry button, you can only wait until D.E.F.E.A.T comes for you. He will kill you. You will die. So will Soren. So will everyone that you love. Remember Cherry? Half of her head was blown off. Did you see the tear mark on her face? Do you think she felt that? Pathetic. Useless. That's who you are. You failed. Why are you even still alive? You should kill yourself. Who do you even have anymore? No one. Alone. Alone. Alone. Alone–..."

The voice wouldn't stop talking as I curled up in a ball, crying out loud as laughters, child-like voices and the bell jiggling overlapped with each other as I begged for the voices to stop.

"JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!!! PLEASE!!"

Before I could bang the back of my head against the wall I heard an electrical spark coming from my left side, seeing Whisper body jittering against the wall. I saw red veins flowing through his body, he looked at me as he softly spoke.

"W-We have -lost LOST Lost LoST…"

I slowly crawled towards Whisper, sitting down beside him as I shook my head disappointed in myself.

"I-I'm so sorry Whisper… I'm sorry that I didn't become the Monster … What should I do?"

Whisper turned his head to me, his TV screen showing his default face switching between something sinister with many sharp teeth and a huge friendly smile. He looked at my cross, pointing at it.

"H-How aBouT yoU yOu you yooOoUUUU– a-ask your G-G… God? But how CAAAAAANNNN he poSsiBly heLp you?" 

I looked down at my cross, wiping the tears from my face as I started to have my doubts.

"... I don't know …"

I weakly stood up from the ground, closing my eyes as I attempted to summon the Blades. Nothing. I tried to summon the Staff. Nothing. I tried to summon the Claws. Nothing. I even tried to summon my bat. Nothing. I started to sob, grabbing my cross as I wanted to take it off; abandoning my faith but I hesitated. There has to be a way… I then summoned the pocket knife, feeling a bit hopeful. 

Whisper called out to me, leaned back against the wall with his body still glitching and jittering.

"Just… You're goiNG tO dIe OUT THERE, likE a FuCkInG idIoT. Heheh…"

I looked back at him, seeing him slowly change in front of me as he fades away into the dark. What's happening to him? Is it because of what happened to Soren? I.. I need to find him… I at least want to die with him.. Before I attempted to see if the knife would cut the steel bar I heard footsteps approaching, sheathing my knife as I saw the two Shadow-Walkers slowly approaching me.

"Shit…"

The Shadow-Walker on the left side spoke to me.

"Oh, look. The duck is awake. You can sit back down, D.E.F.E.A.T will be seeing you himself."

The Shadow-Walker on the right side spoke to the one beside It. 

"I wish to torture him."

Both Shadow-Walkers looked at Just, keeping eye contact with him as the one eager to torture him unlocks the cell door. Just get into a stance as he looks at them both coming at him, unsheathing his knife. The right Shadow-Walker rushes towards Just as It shouts out at him.

"I'M GOING TO EAT YOUR EAR–" 

Before It says anything else Just stabbed Its right cheek as he shouts "The fuck!?" He pulled the knife from Its cheek, holding onto it in pain as Just stabbed the other Shadow-Walker into the side of Its head. Just let go of the knife handle as he goes after the Shadow-Walker holding It's cheek, grabbing on Its upper and bottom jaw with his hands; yelling out loudly as Just breaks Its jaw, It's bottom jaw dangling. The Shadow-Walker drops back on the floor, making an alarming screeching siren-like sound. Just reached to grab the knife that was plunged into the other Shadow-Walker head, pulling it out as he started to stab the Shadow-Walker in Its neck multiple times out of rage. 

"FUCK YOU!! YOU PIECE OF FUCKING SHIT!!" 

Just spits on the now dead Shadow-Walker, looking at the cell door open as he runs out of the prison cell; down the narrow hallway that slowly expands outward. Hearing Prisoners banging on their cell doors as they yell out laughing hysterically, speaking in a nursery rhyme tone. 

"D.E.F.E.A.T is going to kill you! D.E.F.E.A.T is going to kill you!!"

Just was holding onto his head as the headache grew more, feeling as if he was going to pass out but continued to keep running. Just stop at the end of the hallway, seeing a path that goes left, right, and straight. He peeks at each of the three hallways, all looking the same as he starts to panic.

"Shit shit shit shit!! What should I do?"

He looked down at my cross, it wasn't glowing. God, where are You? Just decided to head to the hallway on the right, running down while being cautious. The hallway became narrower and narrower, it was starting to get tight as Just was confused as to what was happening. He struggled to squeeze his way through the tight corridor, hearing loud bangings coming from the doors as Just saw the prisoners' disfigured faces. Uncomfortable by looking at them he looked down at the floor, whimpering to himself. Just then noticed the ceiling becoming lower, now needing to crouch down and get on the floor; crawling into a rocky hole as the environment changes. The banging and the sounds of the prisoners yelling out stops, looking back to see complete darkness down the hallway. Just was terrified, his breathing was shaky as he silently prayed to himself. 

"Don't desert me… Please don't desert me… My Lord, I am scared. The voices of Bēlua, Sophismae and Quiesco are silent. Are they okay? I feel so lonely. Why am I so lonely?"

Just was battling with himself while praying, questioning his existence and why he is so lonely. Dealing with this nightmare all by himself. As he continues to crawl through the hole it starts to become bigger, now being able to crouch as the hole is now big enough to stand up on his own feet. The environment was different, it looked like a courtyard. Just looking up at the dark sky seeing… Stars? Stars… It reminded him of Cherry, remembering her voice. A voice that he misses. 

"I miss you Cherry… "

Just said to himself quietly, dug into his pocket as he took the sticker out. He smiled, putting it back inside after reminiscing for a while. He collected himself, his breathing quivering as he shed a few tears visualizing her death. He walked down the courtyard, stepping on the grass as a giant celled door was at the very end. Just squinted his eyes, seeing Soren chained up on the floor. Just softly called out Soren.

"Soren… oh God.. Soren.. I'm here."

Just slowly walked up to the cell door, but before he could even get close enough the Entity that he met at the woods approached from around the corner. Smiling and creepily walking up to him, accompanied by a few Shadow-Walkers. Just was horrified as he slowly backed away from It as It spoke to him.

"ArE. YoU. loSt?"

Just was quiet as he readied himself with the knife, a Shadow-Walker slowly sneaked up behind him as It wraps Its arm around Just shoulders. He slowly looked up to see the uncanny creatures stretching Its mouth, making a low inhaling sound as Just screamed out in fear. Quickly swinging the knife back and plunging it inside Its neck, blood pouring out onto Just face as It grips loosen around his shoulder. He went around the Shadow-Walker, using It as a body shield as he frantically looked around his surroundings from that jumpscare, pointing his knife at the long, slender Entity.

"Back the fuck up!! BACK UP!!"

The Entity states, not saying a word. Its grin grew wider, lifting Its hand pointing at Just. Its index finger shoots a quick pencil-like projectile at the dead Shadow-Walker.

Just eyes become wide.

The song (Silent Castle, By Jay Varton) begins to play. He looked down to see the projectile pierced through the Shadow-Walker body, puncturing his left abdomen as he then looked at the Entity. Blood splurts out from Just mouth, trickling down from the side of his lips and bottom lip to his chin. Just loosens the grip on the Shadow-Walker, the Entity shooting another projectile with Its middle finger; hitting his upper right abdomen. The Shadow-Walker drops on the ground, Just body moving back from the impact of the projectile. Another projectile is shot at Just with Its ring finger, hitting the center of his abdomen as he falls down on his back. Tears forming in Just eyes as his vision becomes blurry, struggling to come up with words as he gasps for air. The camera shows Just in First-Person, the Entity and the few Shadow-Walkers looked down at Just. The camera becomes glitchy as D.E.F.E.A.T approaches Just in between them, crouching down.

"Don't worry, you're not going to die. At least not yet, I'm going to be the one to kill you. Besides, the surprise is ready for you." 

D.E.F.E.A.T turned Just face to look at a Shadow-Walker bringing a wheelchair, he turned Just head back towards him.

"Hey. Have you been tortured before? I mean, really really tortured? No? Trust me, you'll love it."

D.E.F.E.A.T stood Just body up, leaning him against the wheelchair as the Shadow-Walkers tightened his arms and legs with a strap. Just dizzily looked at himself getting strapped on the wheelchair, his eyes rolling back as he closed his eyes. The screen goes black.

D.E.F.E.A.T can be heard laughing.

"Oh no no no, wake the FUCK UP!!"

The screen shows D.E.F.E.A.T placing his hands on the wheelchair armrest, yelling at Just as he screams in terror. D.E.F.E.A.T smacks Just across his face as he feels a stinging pain in his cheek, weeping quietly to himself. The Shadow-Walker moves the wheelchair in front of Soren's cell. 

"I am going to torture you in front of Soren, does that sound fair?"

D.E.F.E.A.T looked at Soren chained up behind the door, silent and looking down with no humanity left within him. D.E.F.E.A.T then looked at Just strapped onto the wheelchair, bloodied and struggling to keep himself awake as he prayed to himself mumbling.

"Alright, it sounds fair. Got it."

D.E.F.E.A.T stood in front of Just, lifting his chin up so that they looked at each other.

"I want you to tell me how you are still alive? How did you make it through all this time leading to this moment, hm? I don't want to hear God this, God that. Clearly your God left you. So tell me, with a fucking bounty on your head dead or alive, how in the FUCK did you survive?"

Just looked at D.E.F.E.A.T, struggling to speak after being injured.

"F-F… Fu… Fuck. You!"

D.E.F.E.A.T sighed to himself, looking at his Shadow-Walkers shaking his head.

"Do you see this loser? Saying fuck you to me. Keep that same energy."

D.E.F.E.A.T roughly grabbed onto the top of Just head, sending out a flesh scraping feeling through his body. Just started to scream as it felt like his flesh was being scraped off and eaten, his body shaking profusely.

"STTOOOPPPP!! STTOOOPPP IT!!!"

D.E.F.E.A.T closes his eyes, seeing flashes of Just encounter with Whisper, the Merchant, Bēlua, Sophismae, Quiesco, Cherry and a small team. D.E.F.E.A.T smiled while continuing to send waves of pain across Just busy.

"The Mercātor… Whisper… I will be seeing you very soon. So, Bēlua, Sophismae and Quiesco… They're all in here, inside of this thick fucking head? I'll pay them a visit."

Just sobbed as he shook his head, his toes and fingers curling in and out from the excruciating pain.

"N-No!!! NOOOO!!!"

D.E.F.E.A.T applies force on Just head, images of Bēlua, Sophismae and Quiesco flashes on the screen as the sound of their low moaning can be heard flowing through his fingers. Just becoming weaker and weaker, the powers he once had that was given to him were stripped away from him. Moments later he pulled his hand away from Just, closing his fist as he slowly opened it up. Three floating orbs with the symbols of a Staff, Blade, and a Claw with its own distinct colors representing the Entities hovers above his hand.

"Ah… These powers… No wonder you survived because you were given this power. A power which is now mine."

Just looked up at D.E.F.E.A.T, trying to keep his eyes open so that he doesn't pass out or even die from the wounds yet. Slowly shaking his head at him.

"G-Give… Give them… Back to me… Please…"

D.E.F.E.A.T smacked Just upside the back of his head, the Shadow-Walkers laughing.

"No, where was that same fuck you energy at, hm? You're nothing. You are completely useless. Your God left you. You have no more allies. You are alone. You. Have. Lost. You will always lose. A reborn soul, pfft… What a joke." 

Just weakly looked up at Soren, seeing him looking down chained up as Just began to cry with tears flowing down uncontrollably.

"I'm sorry Soren… I'm… I'm sorry th-that… I couldn't be strong… for you when y-yo…you… cried out to me. Everything that I've been through, all in v-vain… I'm so… fucking sorry…"

Soren remained silent, looking down still. D.E.F.E.A.T looked up at the sky, breathing deeply as he spoke.

"You know… The Goo that you released… I am going to control it, weaponize it and conquer any rebellious towns. Thanks to you, the town that you were in is completely destroyed. Everybody is dead and it's all because of you. So thank you for making things easy for us."

Just started to sob, feeling hopeless as D.E.F.E.A.T looks at Just cross; reaching to grab it as it didn't react to his touch at all. He snatched the necklace away from Just, examining it.

"N-No!! NO NO NO!! NO!! GIVE IT BACK!!!"

D.E.F.E.A.T looked at the cross, squeezing it into his hand.

"You have no friends, no lover, and no–"

D.E.F.E.A.T squeezes the cross tightly, crushing it as a light flashes briefly inside his hand. Just closing his eyes as he starts to cry, having nothing left. He continues to speak to Just.

"God!"

D.E.F.E.A.T opens his hand, dropping the necklace on the ground as the cross turns into dust being blown away by the wind. D.E.F.E.A.T looks down at Just, slowly and teasingly reaching his hand out in front of his Just face.

"It's time to say goodbye Just, at least you tried. Hm? But in the end, I always win. So sink into the darkness… Where you will be lost in the dark…"

Just breathing was heavy, trying to escape from his straps as he bawled out in tears. 

"NOOO!!! NOOOOOO!!! SOREN!!! GOD!! ANYONE!!? WHISPER!! ARA!! BĒLUAAAA!! CHERRYYY!! HELP ME!!! HELP MEEEEE!!!! NOOOOOO!!"

D.E.F.E.A.T placed his hand on Just face, muffling against his hand as he felt D.E.F.E.A.T hand generating heat as Just continued to cry with his eyes closed. His screams were so horrifying. 

"Forever."

D.E.F.E.A.T sends a wave of pain across Just body, steam coming from his hand as Just was shaking violently as he clenched his teeth; his neck tightening up as his eyes rolled up to the back of his skull. The screen shows Just journey from being born in the bathroom to venturing within Soren's Darkest Mind, experiencing the good and the bad up until this point. Just cries out to God, looking up at the sky.

"I'M SORRY GOD THAT I FAILED YOU! I'M SORRY THAT I'M NOT STRONG ENOUGH!! THAT I'M NOT A MAN! PLEASE! FORGIVE... MEEEEEEEEE AAAHHH!!!!"

A popping noise is heard inside Just head, his body becoming limp. D.E.F.E.A.T pulls away from Just, looking at his body slowly dying. There was silence. D.E.F.E.A.T looked at his Shadow-Walkers. 

"Feed him to the Darkness Dwellers."

The Shadow-Walkers nodded their heads, releasing the straps from Just body as they kicked the wheelchair back; his body falling in a bloody black pool. Just eyes started to become cloudy and white, his decaying mind saying a few words before little creatures making high pitch noises started to drag him down. A tear runs down Soren's cheek as D.E.F.E.A.T and his Shadow-Walkers left the courtyard.

It's so… Lonely…
