The Massacre 19

Miriam looked at her hands covered in blood. She had never taken a life before so she was shaken.

"Miriam" Thia called out and the girl stood silently, staring at her hand.

"Oh gods," Miriam said and began to puke her guts out.

The feeling of taking a life made her feel dirty and disgusted.

"Are you ok?" Thia asked.

"Miriam raised her hand and signaled to Thia, she didn't want to be touched. She felt repulsed by what she had done. Even if it was to a scum like Rex.

"We have to leave," Cage said.

"I want to go back and check on Ija," Thia said.

"I'll come with you" Thena also stated. Thia was shocked, she wondered why Thena wanted to tag along and stared at her confused.

"What? I'd like to see how the battle ends" Thena explained.

"I don't think it's a good idea to be separated," Cage said.

"You guys go on we'll both catch up later," Thia said.

"Are you sure?" Cage asked, and Thia nodded in reply

"Ok then, let's go," Miriam Cage said.

Cage dragged Miriam, who was still shaken, away forcefully. The poor girl didn't resist but her gaze still never left Rexs' lifeless body.

Leaving the scene, they both went to pick up Hansi from where they hid their Injured Leader.

Thena and Thia made their way back to the place where Ija was battling Zillah.

The two were curious about how the battle between those two monsters went.

Thia, prayed fervently for Ija to be victorious while Thena, was only going to see who of the two was the strongest. The crazy werewolf, who by the way she had pissed off in their first meeting, or the, 'Ija the fierce' Rex painted as this Powerful existence.

"The hype was real though," Thena thought. When she witnessed the brief encounter between the two, she understood what Rex was on about.

The two girls finally arrived at the scene of the battle, claw marks and cuts filled the surroundings, various trees were destroyed, and everything that could stand in the way of their battle was gone. But, in the midst of all the destruction, a large Werewolf stood standing and panting heavily.

Zillah, who was looking menacing and terrifying when she first transformed, now looked like a pitiful state of her former self. The mighty beast was covered in several wounds and cuts with blood gaping from every one of them like a spring.

A large stab wound was seen on her chest dripping stacks of blood. Her left eye had been completely damaged leaving Zillah with only one working eye but, the werewolf was still very much alive, its chest moving up and down was enough testament.

Zillah spotted the kids and started to make her way towards them, her steps were weak and it was as if she was dragging herself across the place, but she moved nonetheless.

Seeing Zillah still alive and well, Thia fell on her butt and started crying. She didn't think Ija would lose against the werewolf. She had promised after all, that she would protect Thia and her friends. She had promised that she would protect Princess Lena.

How was she going to keep her promise if she was dead? Zillah continued to make her way to the kids, her steps, drawing closer and closer, and both of them could only stare in fear. When Zillah finally got to the kids, they were expecting an attack but the beast just stood there.

"That Damned bitch" Zillah said with a growl before collapsing.

Both girls stared in shock as the best lay before their feet. Zillah suddenly began to transform into her human form. It seems the mighty werewolf had finally succumbed to its wound after fighting Ija.

After Zillah transformed back to her human form, both girls heard footsteps approaching them. A few seconds later Ija also appeared. She stared at the kids with surprise and looked down only to find Zillah was already down.

"That Damned bitch finally went down," Ija said..

"What are you two doing here? I thought I told you to run away" Ija said.

Both girls stared admirably at Ija, she was also badly wounded and battered. Her whole amour was damaged and her sword was broken. Of all her wounds, the most hideous was her left arm, which had been torn completely. Ija had wrapped it with a cloth to stop the bleeding, out and used one of her runes to numb the pain for the moment.

"She had this kind of wound and still won?"

"What kind of monster is she?" Thena thought.

"Ija, your hand," Thia said, pointing at the missing Hand.

"Oh this, well turns out I have another badge of honor to boast about. Who knows maybe they'll give me a raise this time" Ija said and laughed

Thia suddenly hugged the royal knight and started crying. "I thought you were dead". Thia said amidst tears.

"What? This is barely enough to kill me. Who do you think I am" Ija said and Thia hugged her tighter

"I'm alright Thia, you don't have to worry about anything."

"Where's the other guy?" Ija asked

"Oh, You mean Rex?" Thena said.

"We dealt with him, permanently".

"Oh great Nik, it's a cocky version of Thia" Ija said

"It's not being cocky if that's what happened". Thena said.

"Are you serious?" Ija asked.

"Yes," Thia replied.

"How did you guys deal with him? He seemed strong".

"Does that matter? All that matters is that he's dead and we're still alive"

Ija stared at Thena for a while before speaking.

"Thia, I don't like this friend of yours," Ija said

"She's not my friend," Thia said.

"Why would I want to be friends with a crybaby?" Thena asked.

Thia brought her tongue out and gestured towards Thena.

Both girls started bickering again and Ija let out a soft smile.

"You both look cute," Ija said.

"What!" Thena said in outrage.

"You can call me annoying, crazy, or even cocky. But never call me cute" Thena said.

"You look even cuter when you're angry," Ija said.

"Can we go and see the princess now?" Thia asked.

"O yes please," Ija said.

They all made their way to where the princess was. Thia and Thena helped Ija who could barely walk and they all went to meet the princess who was probably still sleeping.

Three of them got to where the princess was and they saw she was already awake and two people were standing close to her.

When the princess woke up a while ago, she was herself in an unfamiliar place sleeping on the floor and surrounded by a magical barrier. The last thing she remembered was being sucked into a shadow by the man who had called himself Chancellor Diana's husband.

After that, she didn't remember anything until she woke up in the middle of nowhere. Henry, who had woken up earlier had gone to check the location they were. At first, the princess ordered him to break the barrier, but when he noticed it was Lady Ija's ability, he decided not to and told the princess to stay put, while he checked around.

It was then, discovered that Ija fighting Zillah close to the area they were, He wanted to look for the man who Kidnapped them but he didn't want to leave the princess unguarded again.

When he returned to the princess and saw a young boy speaking to her.

"Who are you?" Henry said, thinking Gor was a threat.

"Stand down Henry, he's an ally" Princess Lena explained

Gor explained the situation to the princess and told her mother had told him to watch over her.

The process asked if Gor knew why he received such an order from the queen, and he shook his head in reply.

He also had no idea why the Queen gave him such a task.

"What happened in the party, were those things caught?". The princess asked.

"I believe Major Laxe should be dealing with that at this very moment" Gor replied.

"Princess, there seems to be a problem in the capital, I urge you return immediately" Gor said.

"Well I'd love to, but Henry here refused to break this thing and let me out" Princess Lena said.

"Then permit me to do it" Gor said

Henry scoffed at Gor.

"Who does this cocky brat think he is, he wants to break lady Ija's barrier".

"Gor summoned his dark blade and in one solid strike, he broke the barrier".
