Rare Talents

Thia was listening to the Queen like she had never heard anything like that before. She had learnt how to use her weapon of choice properly in happyLand and she could say to some extent she had mastery over the spear. Although not fully.

After Queen Vivian finished talking she stood back and took the stance of the dancing spear Thia had used the previous day.

"This is the stance you took yesterday right?" The Queen asked.

Thia looked at the form and noticed her form was flawed and the Queen's form was way better than hers, even better than her uncle's stance.

"How..?" Thia said in shock.

"I'm going to teach you how to use it properly.

Come on child, are you going to take your stance or what" the Queen said causing Thia to take her own stance too.

Tuk and Tanith stood back and watched as the two of them faced off against each other.

Few seconds later, Thia and Queen Vivian both disappeared from their spot and clashed at the center. The Queen ofcourse was way stronger than Thia but, the little child was not half bad. In fact she was something one would consider, a rare Talent.

Queen Vivian tried to use her spear to hit Thia but she was quick to block the attack.

Seeing her attack was blocked she used her strength to push Thia to the side which the child was not expecting, she lost balance for a bit and the Queen once again sent the spear towards her face. This time she was barely able to react on time.

Thia didn't falter and used the opportunity to aim her spear at the Queen, but she hit only air. The Queen jumped at tried and aieral attack, but Thia was able to react and dodge.

"You're able to keep up, Queen Vivian said that's nice".

Seeing the Queen's weapon was on the ground Thia stepped on it. She knew she couldn't hold it down for long, given the Queen was much stronger than she was. She just needed to get the weapon out of the way to carry out her next attack. She struck her spear at the Queen but she gracefully let go of her weapon from that end dodging Thia's attack in the process. Queen Vivian grabbed the spear from another end and performed a quick attack that send Thia Flying. Spears were really tricky to use, one of the challenge was the grip. Unlike sword that had a hilt were one can hold, a spear was pretty much like a long staff with a pointed end. There were not really much part of a spear that could deal a significant damage to the enemy. But still, the attacks carried out by both the Queen and Thia were sure to land major hits and some could deal major damaged if they were to hit their targets. Although their fight was intense, they were still not using Spirit attacks.

As they were sparing, Thia was being pushed back but the girl was having a moment of her life. She have, had alot of sparing partners, but few could compare to the person in front of her.

"Each of her strike were carefully planned and not wasted, the more they fought the more she learned and even improve. What Kind of person is she?" Thia thought.

"You really should keep your mind on your opponent Queen Vivian" said and used the bottom of the spear to hit Thia's stomach. The girl fell back and saw the tip of the non lethal spear pointing directly at her face.

Seeing her loss Thia could not help but smile.

"She's strong, hell she's really strong, Ryker won't last a minute against her. He would die an ugly death. I thought I had seen her strength yesterday Thia thought. But fighting her now I know she's nothing but a battle machine."

"You're talented Thia Queen Vivian said. It's like I finally found my long lost dancing partner" she said.

While Thia was thinking she was no match for the Queen and had lost woefully, something else was going on in the mind of the spectators.

"How long did she last?" Tanith asked Tuk

"Two minutes" Tuk replied.

"None of us could last that long" Tanith said.

"Who the hell is she?" He asked again

"I don't really know, but did you see her first attack? That was definitely a blink. Isn't she still too young to be able to use that?"

"Blinks, as common as they were, was a technique that requires a lot of focus and energy. It requires calm breathing which allows one to drawing nature aura using their spirit and would allow one to move from one point to the other faster than usual. It also required a strong spirit, the stronger your spirit, the faster one becomes,." Tuk explained

"The youngest I've seen using blink is fifteen and rumors have it Dad was able to use it when he was twelve, and this child is just Nine." Tanith said.

"She's definitely some kind of monster, but I've also seen someone, who was able to use Blink at the same age." Tuk said.

"Who?" Tanith asked

"Gor. Tuk replied. Do you remember when father told them they were going to Jut? "Tuk asked and Tanith nodded in reply and Tuk continued

"After they both received the order and were preparing, Kor went on to make research on the Aktel and General Loid. It was already strange seeing Kor study, usually I thought he would do some training or challenge us like he would whenever he saw us, but he was studying for the mission, but Gor was doing something else. I walked in on him practicing the day Dad sent us on the mission away from home so we won't jeopardise their test. I didn't know how long he had been practicing, or who he had been practicing with, but, within that three days Gor was able to perfect Blink" Tuk said.

Tanith widened his eyes in shock.

"Three days? It took us two months to learn it he said. Are you sure you're not mistaking?" Tanith asked.

"No, it was definitely a blink. It was one of the reasons I thought they would be okay". Tuk said.

"So she's not the only rare Talent, Gor can also be qualified as a rare talent. One that shows up only once a century" Tuk said
