CHAPTER 19: Conscious.

It's been a week and a day since Kim Kyong locked himself up in his room and this made Lee Joo-mi really worried. This time around she went to his door step with two maids behind her holding trays of food. She was so worried about his health, he hasn't eaten for so long, he must be hungry.

She knocked three times but got no reply, she was really frustrated she started to knock on the door hard putting the noble like manners aside. It was so loud and noisy but she didn't stop. She knew the door wouldn't open so why doesn't she just vent it all out on the door.

She came all the way here with her father just to form an alliance with the emperial family but this man was ruining everything. It was hurting her, she has always dreamed to be in a very high and respectable position in the empire and that can only be possible if she is able to get him to marry her.

The door opened slowly and Kim Kyong's sleepy face appeared, he looked angry and she could tell the reaeon why. "You lost your manners?" He asked icily and the girl shivered involuntarily. One would have thought this man was dead after starving himself for a week but he's still as active as this.

Joo-mi heart palpitated just at his cold aura, she feared he'll do something to hurt her. She hurriedly explained her intentions before a great misfortune struck her "I-I brought you food to eat, you haven't....

*Bang*

The door slammed close. He shut the door on her cause he wasn't interested in her ranting. He could see through her and knew what her intentions were.

Right now, the only person on his mind was Chin Ari. He really wanted to know where she was, he wants her and at the same time he doesn't. This is just a feeling he doesn't want but is being forced on him!

His entire room was in total mess just the same way he left it a week ago. He took a fresh bath and changed into a new dress. He had a mission. A battle to face, now that he won the challenge the case has been legally handed over to him.

After dressing up, he headed to his father's office. Everyone were surprised to see him out of his room. They thought something had happened to him but here he was, perfectly fine.

When he got to his father's office, the door was locked, he wasn't there but the guards informed him he is having a meeting with some local chiefs in the capital and had to wait for the Emperor to return.

But Kim Kyung had no patience to wait any longer and headed to the Throne room immidiately. The guards guarding the Throne room couldn't stop him from entering so they made way for him and opened the door.

"Father."

The chiefs turned to see the man who just barged in disrespectfully. Kim Hyun was gald to see his son again after a long time and also in a good state so he didn't bother to waste his spit scolding him.

"Kim Kyung.....

"I'll start my journey to the Eastern Region, I hope everything is all set." Kim Kyung cut him off, going straight to the point.

"Done"

Kim Kyung left the throne room and headed to his main business. Kim Hyun continued his meeting with the local chiefs without an apology and the old men couldn't voice out since they had no say in the way he trained his son. Who exactly were they? The gods of the land?

Kim Kyung went straight to the Golden Army's lodge. Everything was set just like Kim Hyun said, his men were training. All they needed was the 'go ahead' and they are ready to crush their enemies.

Immidiately they saw Kim Kyung, they turned to him and got on one knee with their head bowed. Kim Kyung didn't reply their greeting and just walked towards the second commander.

"We'll be moving in the next thirty minutes, what we would be needing for our stay there must be set, no mistakes." he said and Jong ho, the sefond commander nodded.

Thirty minutes later, everything was completely set. Not like they had any other choice than to get it all set before thirty minutes without making any mistakes.

The maids and the physicians as well we're all ready to move. They took off from the Empire's main palace exactly thirty minutes after Kim Kyung's conversation with Jong ho.

--Chin Ari's Pov--

I felt so weak and tired when I woke up, infact I still felt sleepy and was having a very heavy headache. it was so uncomfortable I couldn't help but groan and turn on the bed.

"Ari.... Ari, are you okay?" Mother immidiately sat next to me and placed my head on her lap before caressing my hair gently.

"Mother." My voice was so hoarse and it sounded stressed out like I haven't used it in a while.

"Don't say anything. You have a slight temperature which isn't good for your health. Thank goodness it has gone down now," Mother complained. "Chin Sun, quickly go and inform Madam Lee that Ari is awake, she has been so worried as well."

Chin Sun left the room immidiately, leaving Chin Bada and I alone."You made me get so worried, you slept for so long and it really made me to start thinking of the worst thing that could happen"

"How long was I asleep?" I asked weakly while sitting upright with mother's help.

"A week!" Mother emphasized on her worry and all I could do was mutter a 'oh'

"Oh. That's a really long sleeping period, sorry for keeping you worried, mother." I slept for that long and didn't even notice. I can't even remember what got me into a coma. A week, thats the longest days I've ever slept.

By the time I finally regained consciousness, I couldn't remember anything from the boring world I was in, not even how I returned. Everything was back to normal like I never left.

"You should clean up now that you are awake, I've tried my best by cleaning your body everyday, you need a proper bath now."

As I stood up from the bed, my body ached all over. Even my feet was sour and I couldn't stand properly, if not for mother's help, I'll be on the ground or probably on the bed again.

By the time I was done bathing with the help of mother, Madam Lee Ha-Joon was already in the room with Young Lord Joon-woo. It didn't dawn on me as I unknowingly stepped out of the bathroom in a towel while mother stayed behind to drain the water away from the bath.

I didn't know Young Lord Joon-woo was in the room with his mother and I stepped out of the bathroom in a towel is way above my knee level! It was a step filled with regret.
