Chatper 2 - Friends

I'm dazzled at the sight of everyone effortlessly manipulating their magic, although I am also jealous. I swear to myself at this time that I will learn my magic and become the best in the academy. I take a few steps into the building and out of nowhere, another person has arrived and approached me. His name is Jason.

We talk about the excitement of finally being at Arcanius, as well as our magic types. Jason mentioned his magic type is Ice, a semi-rare elemental type. He is already magic level 11, and has learnt 2 different spells. Magic level 11 is relatively low for this age, but learning two spells is quite amazing when having a magic level that low. It is quite rare to have learnt 2 spells straight away.

One is a defensive spell, Ice Wall. It is explained that Ice Wall simply creates a wall of ice. The second spell is an offensive spell called Ice Shot. Ice Shot creates Ice in the air that could be manipulated by the user to be thrown, or shot, at the target. Jason has left to go find his dorm, and I was once again alone within the main building.

I'm amazed at the size of this singular building, as there are many buildings of a similar size, all for different purposes. The number of students is always at 3,510, having 26 classes for each year, going from year 1 to 5, and each class have 27 kids. Despite not requiring a certain magic level, it was still hard to enrol at Arcanius, due to only accepting 702 students a year, which is low for a magic academy of this size.

It is time for me to also find my dormitory, luckily I had received a map at the entrance. Therefore, despite the large buildings and land, it will be quite easy to navigate my way towards the dorms.
