Chapter 1 - Arcanius

I have finally received the envelope containing the information about whether or not I've been accepted to Arcanius, the most prestigious magic academy in the world. I tear open the envelope and begin to slowly take out the letter. My eyes light up with excitement, it's official, my enrolment into Arcanius has been accepted.

Three whole months have passed, and it's finally time for me to head off to Arcanius. I jump into the carriage and wave goodbye to my loving mother while the horses begin taking off. The ride was going to take a little under 2 days, and in what seemed no time at all, I have arrived, I have reached Arcanius.

I stood before the towering gates of the prestigious Arcanius, with my heart pounding with anticipation. As an underdog whose magic is still unknown to me, I have always felt out of place with all of the other children my age, who had already learnt at least one spell for their magic type.

I take a deep breath and push the gates open and enter the academy grounds. The air crackles with magic, and I can't help but feel a surge of excitement. This was my chance to find my magic and become a powerful magician, to show that even someone who discovered their magical power late could leave a mark in the world of magic.

I enter the main building located closest to the front gates. Inside the academy, students bustle about, each with their own unique abilities. Fire-wielders, telekinetics, illusionists – the variety is astounding. I can't help but feel a twinge of envy as I watch them effortlessly manipulate the elements. This is surprising to me as I haven't even discovered what type of magic I have yet.
