Chapter 1

This was the day everything will go back to normal in Luria's life. Moving slowly towards the High Wings Castle she tried not to make any sound, not even her unsteady breath. Her informant within the Castle reminded her that between 3 and 4, the guards will be switching stations. That was the best time to get in unnoticed. She tossed the rope over the gate, pulling it tightly until she was certain that it had successfully latched onto the top. She jumped up, reaching out to grab the rope while she planted her feet against the gate. She let out a tiny sigh of relief when her feet didn't slide off or cause her to fall. Luria pulled herself up the rope, moving as quickly as possible without letting her feet slip. She soon found herself perched at the top of the gate, if she had the leisure to simply stop and observe, she would have stayed there just looking for ages. But Luria knew that sightseeing was not her agenda.

It took Luria no time to spring Into action. She jumped down from the top of the gate, the impact of hitting the ground sending an echo of pain up her legs and to her core, but she quickly shook it off and sprinted towards the outer wall of one of the towers. Window she was about to climb into was the best place of entry. It was in a distant hallway that was close enough to the Prince's room for her to have easy access to him, but far enough from where the guards were stationed that the chance of them being alerted to her entry was small. She threw her grappling hook up again, this time latching it on the sill of the open window. She landed safely in the big luxurious room, filled with imported furniture, fine clothes and sheets. The room was larger than her and her friend's room combined! The room was covered with rich color of gold and red -the trademark of the Redwing's- the beautiful embroidered curtains hanging from the window, which allowed faint rays of the sun to enter were a cherry on top. Too bad, the Prince won't be able to enjoy these luxuries for a while. Laid peacefully on the soft, king-sized bed was Prince of the Raisaya Kingdom. Prince Curtis Redwing. As courteous as the name sounds, the reality is far more cruel. He looked as breathtaking as the citizens describe him -pure and innocent looking boy, flawless features. It feels like he could never express them to anyone.- That's partially true. After his mom being bedridden because of an unknown disease, she could never recognize her own son. As much as Luria wanted him to keep sleeping, her hard work shouldn't go in vain. She recited her spell and casted on him, grabbed him and flee from the palace. The rumors would take no time to spread in the entire kingdom. There is no way, the King would sit quietly.
