Chapter 24 (The Sword Of Calamity)
"Interesting you say? My power will make you tremble you fool! Get ready." Gelbert says magnificently.
His sword power starts to rise and the aura which was blue turned into pt black, the color of darkness.
His sword started to grow as more and more power was put into it until it became a 2-meter long great sword.
"You should feel lucky you human because what before you is the sword which can slay the devil himself. The mighty Calamity Sword," he says delightfully.
"There is no mistake in it, it's the same sword which slayed Yahiro. I can have my revenge from that sword today." Akari says.
The sword which was given to Yamato is a special sword. It can manipulate energy and increase its power too. But the question is that whether it can match the calamity sword.
Akari joins the dual swords and tries to combine them with magic.
"COMBINE" she chants but the chant fails.
"Huh? it didn't work?"
"COMBINE!"
"COMBINE?!
"COMBINE DAMNIT!!!!!!!" she screams
"HAHA, YOUR SWORDS ARE WEAK! You should give up kid." Gelbert joyfully shouts
"Why isn't it working? I know that this pair of swords is legendary but why aren't they combining? There must be something I missed but what?" she thinks.
She then thinks deeply about the solution or what she might have missed.
"My name," a random voice said.
"Name? Yeah that's it, when Yamato first opened the box it asked to give it a name but that idiot never did it. HEY YAMATO GIVE IT A NAME!" she says in her mind
"Name? hmm, let me think. So it is a dual sword and the shape is like a thin sword. Its handle is dark red just like blood and the scabbards are white like soul. A name which consists of all these details...what can it be? Tamashi and Ketsueki...Oh, I know.
I'll name it Soul Eater."
"Name verified, hereby the sword has been given a name and reached the requirements to unlock the full use mode. Enchantment will now work." a sound comes from the sword.
"Soul eater? looks like a name out of a fantasy book. Okay then Soul Eater, lend me your strength and help me to bury my opponent."
COMBINE!!
As she enchanted the spell, the swords started to consume the power from Yamato and Akari and from surrounding and started to convert into a single sword. A single long sword meant to be wielded by two hands.
The sword had a red aura coming out of it about double the amount of Calamity sword.
"Its heavy" Akari sighs
"NO WAY! NO SWORD IS STRONGER THAN THE CALAMITY SWORD. IT'S ABSURD. But don't worry, experience is what is required the most in a battlefield and unlike you, I have fought on frontlines in many battles. I'll crush you down."
They both once again stand in their stances.
Same as the last time, Gelbert stands with a high sword stance and Akari chooses to use a back left stance because of the weight of the sword.
"The sword might be heavy but if its speed, then I can just take advantage of the sword and velocity to strike first and with high force, I should strike at least with a force of 500 kg to break his sword.
Akari pulls the right leg ahead and uses the left toe to give a push.
Gelbert also seems like making a plan but if Akari wants to defeat him, he should be backed off enough to leave blocking as his only option.
They both stared at each other and in a blink of an eye, Akari used herself directly towards Gelbert's sword using all her force into one swing.
*SLASH*
The swords did strike and a loud voice came, the force swelled Yamato's arm but by surprise, Gelbert's sword remained, even though the strike caused his head to shake. Both swords were fine.
"I didn;t thought you'd go for the sword, I'll let you see its power as a reward so feel pleased," Gelbert says.
"THE FRAGMENT OF THE MIGHTY DEMON, I ASK YOU FOR YOUR ASSISTANCE AND USE THIS SWORD AS A VESSEL TO DEFEAT MY ENEMY! DEMON TRANSFORM!" he chants
"Transformation enchantment....means he's unleashing the source of the power. This is gonna be hard."
After he chanted, a powerful fire-like thing took the sword as its sword and came out, it started to shape itself and became a huge devil-like thing. The power was enormous making it nearly invincible..
"Why am I taken out of my slumber? What's the calamity?" the demon asks.
"I have called you to take hold of the enemies who lie in front of me, make them pay to even wield a sword before you," Gelbert replied.
"You who dare try to strike me, you shall meet your end here and now with no due or mercy. Prepare to meet your end." the demon says
The demon attacksAkari with his one-punch which was deflected but the flares from it were powerful enough to melt the ground.
"What the hell is this power, just how many trump cards are the kings having?"
"Command me to go all out. You can not defeat it with your strength. Use me." the sword says.
"Okay then, I'll leave it to you"
Akari then pours a huge amount of mana into the swords and gives it the order "TRANSFORM"
The sword then starts to expand into a huge beast using the emerald of the sword as its source.
The beast that the sword transformed into was one of the most powerful ancient beasts, The Great Lioness.
"The Great Lioness, one of the gods who ruled the lands of beasts huh?" Akari says.
"You should be more proud." the beast says with a grin
Then it turns its head and looks at the demon.
"You are weak, but I shall take you up as my opponent for today, lets have a fight." She says to the demon.
"I'll make you pay for even saying that you lowly animal. I'll rip you apart," he replies.
