Chapter 23 (Limitations Expelled)
"I am Gelbert, The Knight of the King Of Mages,"
Yamato looks at his equipment and armor and very mysteriously, it was pretty dull for a knight.
He has a dark long sword and dark armor.
"He looks like a dark king to me," Yamato mutters.
"So what brings a knight here?" Yamato asks the knight
"Well, I got an order from the higher-ups to defeat you or at least not let you eliminate the golems. It's a simple task for someone like me I agree but my majesty is really cautious of your actions," he replies.
"So what is in that golem anyways? some sort of scroll? or maybe a powerful armament?" Yamato asks.
"I was told not to tell you but that's just not me so just this once, I'll disobey the rules. There is a message inside the golem sent by an exiled general. That's all I can tell you, kid. If you want more information, then you have to make my throat say it." he replies.
"So it's a message huh? Well, that's enough information. I take you on for this dual." Yamato confidently says.
"Hey hey Yamato, are you an idiot? He is a knight and you are not experienced as he is. He might have fought countless battles and looks strong. Do you really wanna have a dual with him?" Akari confusingly says.
"Well, I am curious about the message so yeah, I'll take the chance." He replies with a smile.
Yamato and The Knight jump away at a 10 meters distance.
Yamato holds his swords from his back and the knight also places his hand on his sword.
Both pull out their swords and put on their stance.
Yamato as usual uses the reverse grip stance.
Gelberd uses a high stance and holds his sword firmly.
"Kid I must ask you, what stance are you using?" Galberd asks.
"Oh, its reverse grip. What about you?" Yamato replies.
"I am using the LieBrid Technique. It's pretty common," he replies
"LieBrid? I thought it was a high stance." Yamato curiously says.
"That's a weird name. Now enough talks, let's proceed to battle."
Yamato bows down a little to get more speed and Gelberd remains still with his sword in the air.
"I'll make sure to hit first," Yamato mutters.
Yamato puts all his force on his toes and in a blink of an eye, rushed towards Gelberd.
*ZIP*
He jumps and in the mid-air, lock-on Gelberd's head and strikes his sword.
*SLASH*
The place got all covered with dust with Yamato's strick
But Yamato's face wasn't of a victor, but it was of shock.
"He just.....blocked my strike?" Yamato muttered.
Gelberd strikes his sword in the air and clears the dust.
"That was a nice attack but not enough to bring me down. You might have power but what you are missing is experience. This is getting fun HAHA." Gelberd says with joy
"Just who are ----
Before Yamato could complete, Gelberd with no warning in a flash stroked Yamato with his sword.
*STRIKE*
Yamato coincidently blocks the attack with both his swords. The swords were slashing so forcefully that they could make a regular person get dug into the ground.
"Ughh, I am losing it. I don't want to die this way, Akari do you have a plan?" Yamato asks.
"I could unleash more of your power but something blocking me. I can't figure it out." Akari says with a light voice.
"I think I know that something. But I want some free time to deactivate the limitations," he says.
"Give up your resistance, I'll control your body for a while," Akari tells Yamato.
Yamato slides the swords at left side and blinks to his right.
"Okay Akari, do it. I need 15 seconds."
Akari quickly takes over and proceeds to slash swords with the knight.
Yamato after losing control gets into the realm of the sage
"The mighty spirit is fighting with a fragile body and the body's owner is paying a visit at my realm? What a time." the sage says.
"I....."
"I am still scared? Uhh, I have to speak, I have to ask for help!"
"Don't worry, in my realm, time passes slowly. You can have all the time would want." the sage says
Yamato holds his heart and tries to calm down.
"Mighty sage, I want you to remove the restrictions from my powers and let me use more of my abilities," Yamato said nervously
"Are you sure? It might even cost your life. But be assured, I'll do something to avoid the worst-case scenario." the sage said.
"Thank you."
"I will let you switch to 3rd form. Now go and defeat that miserable knight."
Yamato is now switched back with his body and is barely holding the knight back.
"Thanks for the backup Akari."
"I am accessing the power now ok?"
"Yeah, I am ready."
Akari starts to spread the power through his body but this time, with more power. His body gets hardened like metal and his speed increases twice.
*BULP*
Yamato's heart starts to rise, the speed of his beats is way too much for his body to handle making him lose his life force.
"I didn't think that mere 3 seconds were enough to knock him out. Well miss spirit, it's your turn." the sage said
"Huh my, what?"
The very instant, Akari was given full control over Yamato's body again and this time with more power.
"Why am I in a blank?" Yamato asked.
"Well if I'd let you stay like that, you would have died so I made the spirit take over as her body is much stronger." the sage replied
"Oh thanks, I guess."
"So I have the control now?"
"HEY KNIGHT, CAN YOU SEE THE DIFFERENCE?" Akari asked
"Yeah, your power just increased, I suppose I'll have to use my demonic sword. I don't want to lose my pride," he replied
"Demonic Sword?"
"Yeah, it's the legendary sword, the one and only. Not many people can wield it and it is the same sword used to overpower the ultimate duo. Prepare yourself to lose." Gelberd says.
"The same sword? Now we are talking."
