A man with a dream 12.5

A/n: I have returned! Here's a chapter for Ya.

.....

Despite his upgrade, Wesley had a moderately arduous time finishing the super-powered triad of guards.

Striker was out after Wesley's initial blitz. The punk-themed man was quick but wasn't excessively sturdy, fortunately.

Tinker wasn't as straightforward. Solely from their first skirmish of melee combat, the vet had acknowledged he was outclassed. Wesley didn't even hold out a second before a saber speared his dome.

However, with his recent advancement, Tinker was no threat. Any weapon that the Tinkerer invoked was inadequate against Wesley. His restorative capacity counteracted any injury the man would have done to him effortlessly.

The largest challenge by far was Tanker, the commander of the threesome of guards.

Tanker's power was the absorption and eviction of kinetic energy. Effectively rendering any harm enacted on the hulking man null.

Of course, because of the boost to his regeneration factor, Tanker couldn't achieve anything either. It was essentially an endless slugfest with no climax in sight.

Only after ten minutes of trial and error did Wesley encounter the man's shortcoming. Every juncture in which  the massive man went to expel his stored kinetic energy, there'd arise a half second of susceptibility.

Wesley had only found this out halfway through their battle when they exchanged blows, and the vet managed to damage the guard.

Even still, the fight persisted another five minutes. Tanker was formidable even without his power and was tough to put down.

But with one conclusive blow to Tanker's head, the man fell face-first onto the ground.

Wesley released a long weary sigh at his triumph. If it weren't for his pact, Wesley was confident he'd be mentally exhausted right now.

"Those three were tough as nails. Even if the combined power of the 12 dozen guards had fully adjusted to my body, I'd still have died ten times over if I didn't have regeneration." Wesley mused as he examined his handy work.

Twelve dozen men and women laid lifeless, strewn across the marble floor in mangled messes. The only things breathing beside himself were the three super-powered escorts he fought and quelled.

Something he was about to rectify.

Picking up a discarded firearm of a random make and model, Wesley aimed it at the immobile bodies of Tinker and Striker.

Two bullets later, a duo of carcasses joined twelve dozen more.

Wesley dumped another shot at Tanker's downed form, but expectedly, Tanker survived.

The projectile relinquished all momentum the moment it approached Tanker and fell to the ground harmlessly.

Sighing, Wesley hurled his gun to the side before kneeling next to Tanker and proceeding to pick up the man like a pouch of potatoes.

Surprisingly, Wesley didn't even so much as grunt as he hoisted the broad man over his shoulder.

Still hauling Tanker, Wesly began to make his way to Penguin's office.

He couldn't do anything about Tanker, and perhaps it'd be best to just set fire to the empowered man, but Wesley retained an impression that  Alastor would discover a means to make use of Tanker.

How? Wesley was relatively convinced it would implicate a deal of some manner.

.....

As seen in this chapter I tried to summarize the fight.

Was it good, bad, or somewhere in between?

Either way I hope you guys enjoyed it!

Also, I demand your thoughts!
