Chapter 4: Easy game

(A/N: Okay guys, so obviously I cannot keep track of all the achievements, so I wish for some of you to tell me. I want you guys to tell me only the PC version though, not the PS4 ones, those give you an achievement for almost anything.)

[Achievement unlocked: Getting Stone]

I saw it, and ignored it. This is nothing big. I only should feel proud when I get the near impossible achievement, 'How did we get here.'

I proceeded to make all the tools necessary, and found a river nearby. Over there, I also found some sweet bearies which will help me a lot.

Not only do I sort of have a food supply now, I can use it to negate fall damage if and when needed.

I got 14 of them, so I planted back 4 and kept the rest.

I then planted my seeds (7 of them), and decided to chop some more trees down. I am going to be making a strip mine, and since I can't exactly make a water elevator immediately, ladders will have to be done.

After getting 32 logs, I decided to move out a little, and was able to find 2 adult pigs nearby. I could leave them and breed them later, but after thinking about it later, I decided to kill the two of them.

I moved forward with my axe in hand, and jumped. After that, I 1 shot the pig. I didn't really feel anything wrong about it due to having 'Gamers Mind.'

The pig didn't even bleed, it just died, and dropped 1 porkchop.

I then killed the other one and got 2 this time.

Since the sun was not even half-way down, I decided to just chop some trees near the river which I was at, explore a little to get some meat to have a decent food source.

I mined down trees until my axe broke, so I got a stack and a half of logs in total now.

I made half a stack of logs into planks and made a 5 by 5 by 5 house, and doors as well doors for it.

Then I made a smoker with the furnace I had, I used the wooden-pickaxe I had as fuel, and cooked the pork chops. It obviously was not enough, so I put 10 logs in as well.

After that, I made charcoal with the logs I had as well, and got 4 of them.

With that, I made 16 torches, and lit my house up.

I then checked F3 and realised I was in Y=90.

Since I didn't have enough wood, I got more, and made enough ladders to go down all the way to Y-11.

After making 79 ladders, and having some spare wood, I started to dig down. I did not dig straight down, I dug 2 blocks down. This way even if I was gonna fall, I would be able to tell before I actually would fall and stop myself.

With that, I spent some time digging down till Y=60 down first.

It was then that I found a 12 vein of coal, and I mined the entire thing up.

At Y=40 I found my first iron vein. It was a 4 vein, so I mined it all up, and continued moving down.

I didn't find anything until Y=11.

After going all the way down, I mind a little 6 by 2 by 2 space to be able to move a little.

Then I made a furnace with the cobble I had, and smelted the raw iron into iron ingots.

After getting 4, I made an Iron-Pickaxe and a shield.

I equipped the shield in my off hand, and pinned it to my right.

This is the safest way to get resources early in the game, at least till what I know.

Sure, it might be boring, but it is smart.

I am currently in an unknown world, I will take whatever chance I can get to be safe.

....

There was another problem with this method, you could get barely anything sometimes. After about 1 day of in game mining (20 minutes) I only got 12 iron ingots, and 58 redstone.

Sure there were those different types of stones, but right now, they were not of any help to me, so I just made a chest and chucked them into it.

Right now, I was using my second pick and mining again, and after about 15 minutes of mining, I found diamonds.

It was only a 4 vein, but now, I could upgrade my pickaxe, which I did so. I also got 20 more iron, 2 stacks of coal, and another stack of redstone.

And after another 25 minutes of mining, having half a double chest full of different types of stone, a little gravel (which was bothersome without a shovel), and half the durability of a diamond pickaxe, I got what I needed.

I got another 3 stacks of coal, 2 stacks of redstone, 25 raw gold, and 105 raw iron.

While I had more than enough iron needed, which was 35, I felt a little more safe than before.

I smelted the iron, wore the entire set, and then opened the guide book.

There was a section in it which made me smile.

Right before I pressed 'Yes,' I checked F3 once, and logged out.

(A/N: FYI, if you guys did not know, he only needed to eat the 10 sweet berries as food, as if you don't know, strip mining does not take a lot of hunger out. And while this is boring, it is smart, and what normal people who are not phycos and want to fight creeps would do ;))
