The Storm.

(This chapter will be in the POV of Sebastian)

In my small cabin I stood infront of the window looking up at the sky while I make dinner. For tonight it is meat stew and some bread. The clouds outside look like the beginnings of storm clouds. Like always my property is prepared for the surprise storm up here which is not uncommon.

Going outside I grab some firewood to keep the cabin nice and warm as the temperature drops with the changing weather. After a good fire is going it is time to check the stew. As soon as he lid comes off good food smells fill the space. grabbing a bowl I fill it up and sit at the table eating up.

Feeling nice and warm I decide to sit and read for a while, as I open up my book the fist rain drops hit the windows I read for awhile enjoying the calm even though a storm is raging outside. It is almost putting me right to sleep.

As I am almost drifting off a muffled shout from outside jolts me awake. "WHERE THE HELL AM I? SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME! IS ANYONE THERE? I NEED HELP!" says the distressed person outside.

I get up quickly and throw on a rain jacket and grab a flashlight before heading onto the covered porch. I stand there quietly listening to the outside trying to hear where the noise came from. After a minute I hear another call for help the right of the cabin.

I walk out from the covered porch into the rain shining the flashlight around looking for anyone who may be in trouble. Going back and forth between the trees I find no one until my light shines on a small clearing and I see a figure leaning against a tree at the other side.

I rush over to them, they look unconscious so I give them a light shake to try and wake them up. Slowly she lifts her head up and opens one eye. then both open looking up at me. She squints and holds her hand to her face probably from the brightness. I quickly move the flashlight behind me so It's not so bright.

She is staring at me confusion going over her face as she tries to figure out what is going. I can tell that she isn't doing good, probably have been out here in the cold most of the night.

"Are you an angel?" I hear her whisper. I look at her surprised and smile back to her.

"No I am Sebastian but who are you?" I ask her. At the same time I see her starting to fade again, I'm sure from exhaustion and shock. I catch her as she slumps to the side and pick her up. Holding her close I carry her back to the cabin.

As we get inside I can feel her shivering in my arms, I can't imagine how cold she was soaked from the rain sitting out there. I lay her down on the couch and grab a few towels and blankets. After putting some more logs on the fire to warm up the place I grab the towels.

I cover her up with towels and place a blanket on top. I go over to her feet wanting to at least take off her boots since the feet is the main place where you can lose or gain heat. I start to untie the left one first taking off boot and sock and placing both by the fire to dry out. When I move to the right boot I notice her swollen ankle.

After removing the boot I can see the reddened skin and slightly swollen area. Grabbing some things out of my first aid kit I clean the area to make sure there are no cuts. Then I wrap the ankle with a bandage to provide support and help the swelling. I grab a rice heat pack and warm it up for a bit and lay it over the ankle after propping it up on a pillow.

Now that her ankle is mostly fixed up I head to the kitchen to heat up some leftover stew from dinner and make some tea.
