Chapter 27: Brenin Ddu

As the darkness enveloped the floating island of Ynys Stone Sky, its inhabitants had all drifted off into slumber.

The quiet echoes of their snores could be heard bouncing off the walls of the cave they called home.

Neifion Dacus, Lili Hughes and Rhys Faughn, along with the new arrival, Sky, were forced to share a single tunnel for shelter and rest.

Despite the late hour, none of them were asleep.

Instead, they sat in a circle, illuminated only by the faint glow Rhys`s fire magic emanating from the palm of his hand.

“The entire population of this island desires for us to destroy their home in order to eliminate this disease, even those who currently resides here”.

Neifion was the first to bravely address the elephant in the room.

“We cannot simply destroy this island, as it would result in the loss of hundreds of lives, including innocent children”.

Lili turned to Neifion, who was seated next to her, watching as the flames from Rhys`s fire magic engulfed the ember.
