Chapter 26: Destroy the Island

Rhys Faughn was roused from his slumber by a gentle breeze caressing his skin.

He felt weightless, as if he were soaring through the clouds.

Slowly, he opened his eyes and sat up, taking in his surroundings.

As his vision adjusted, he realized he was on an ancient-looking boat with a luminous orb at its centre.

Neifion Dacus was sleeping soundly on the hard floor next to him, and Lili Hughes was engaged in conversation with a man whom Rhys presumed to be the boat`s owner.

What caught his attention was the man`s right leg, which appeared to be entirely made of stone.

The red kite bird Sky was perched on the boat`s ledge, scouting ahead.

The boat`s owner was not steering with a wheel, but rather with a speel book in hand, controlling the boat`s movement with his magic.

“Where are we?”.

After realizing that the boat was gliding through the sky like a bird instead of sailing on water, Rhys stood up to watch the passing clouds with a newfound sense of wonder.
