Chapter 15

"Mr. Timpson I think I've found something." Kevin said from under the piles of papers and files.

-Look at this guy.

He showed him handing the file.

Name: Roy Benzamine

Age: 45

Criminal record: sabotaging several workers, fighting, gambling.

-What's so special 'bout this guy? He's just a normal criminal and recently he got bailed out and doing some business that I'm not aware of but he sure has gotten a lot richer than before. I guess his hard work is showing off.

-I think he isn't doing some random business. He's involved with Mathew.

-And what made you suspect that?

-I checked both his and Mathew's file. And the interesting fact is that wherever Mathew raided, he was seen present and he stood from far away as if he observed the whole thing going properly.

Mr. Timpson heard him carefully and checked the files over and over again until he discovered a link.

-Shall we go? We've a criminal to catch.

He nodded in agreement. As they were going to leave, Olivia appeared in front of them.

-Where are you guys going? Kevin where are you going? When will my baby be back?

-Don't worry auntie. She'll be back soon. Wherever she is now, she's for sure safe and sound.

She didn't reply that much or she showed any special reaction.

-Auntie, stay here and don't go anywhere. If you need something just ask them for help. We'll be back soon.

She looked terrified as if she's afraid to us lose us also but she forced herself to nod in agreement. Kevin looked at her, gave her an assuring smile and left with Mr. Timpson. She stared at the window for a while until their car lost her sight. She really hoped to see her daughter soon. Her daughter is her everything. If anything happens to her, she won't be able to live anymore. She kept thinking 'bout good and bad things altogether and when she fell asleep she doesn't know. When she woke up, she saw Kevin by her side. She hurriedly got up.

-Kevin what happened? Where's my baby?

Kevin kept silent.

-Kevin, tell me. What happened?

-Auntie we were close but lost the track. But we'll go again tomorrow first thing in the morning. So don't worry.

Olivia didn't say anything but nod and stare at him blankly. Seeing her face, Kevin got hurt. He felt like a loser to himself. He treats Olivia and Luna as her family. So if anything happens to them and if he can't be of any help, he feels like a loser. He hung his head down in guilt and shame. Olivia noticed that and said to him to cheer up and try more harder next time so that they succeed in rescuing her. Kevin nodded but the guilt and shame can't be refrained totally from him. Kevin got some sleep as Olivia told him to do.
