The story beginning is great, MC's power is quite novative and original. I also love the overall power system based on genes taken from beasts and included in human's genome to make them strong. Unfortunately after reading over a 100 chapters, I think that it goes a bit in circles. For each problem MC has either for battle or gene production the solution is luck points which basically makes him OP (especially after getting his second gene). There's never any clear count about the remaining luck values during battles (i.e. saying that attack costs x luck and the remaining is y) so it kinda feels like MC has unlimited luck values. I think it could have been more interesting if they kept the role of luck in battles as marginal and the way it goes MC is probably extremely lame in combat without it. It's like those novels where MC gets a super strong weapon / ring / whatever but cannot do anything else that using that to win. They should have use luck to allow MC to grow powerful genes allowing him to be stronger while battle should mainly rely on the skills of those genes with luck being used from time to time as a trump card.

This is the first time I write a review for any novel, this is the first story i felt the need to actually write one. Started reading this since chapter 15 and read upto chapter 70 at the moment. Loving the unique and brutal world. The main character has an overpowered ability, however it's not all powerful. The ability is also very flexible to use; which allows for some good variation in the action. The story switches nicely between physical (fighting) and mental (outsmarting) battles. Personally I'd like the mental battles to be paced faster, but at the moment (upto chapter 70) it's quite possible that it's needed for the world building. I hope in the future this will go slightly faster. Overall a great story, the translation is great and the 10 chapters per week are constant. Definitely give this novel a go.
So far this novel is pretty dope. I'm not going to say that it one of the best I've ever read, but it's interesting enough that I have something enjoyable to read while I wait for other novels to update. I feel that this deserve four-and-half stars because while the story so far is interesting and draws my attention I feel that the world building is incredibly lacking at this time and that the character seem to have many "warrior" traits that ****** get explained away with "since I had to be careful in my past life".
Original novel, basis on luck attribute.. Altough pretty bland. Like the luck points only needs time to gather. No misions, no cultivate, no nothing. The MC could basically sit inside the house 24/7 doing nothing and the novel could be still the same. The MC doesn't have a goal. Make more MONNNEYY for...what? being a top genenict crazy doctor...for what? No family, no ambitions and luck without giving anything to exchange... Idk man, it feels like a weebo fantasy power novel, eating chips at home
290 chapters MC has luck skill; when use it the probabilities are in his favor. Characters are a mere copy paste from time to time, it get boring af. The world itself is very confusing like tecnological advanced but with very stupid civilization. Even if this novel is genes idea based there's no scientific value the nonsense from powers like one of best friends summoning characters from mangas as example. The way that the author delivers the is annoying for example: in this moment... when nobody was expecting.. Out of no where... In the last chapters mc is very rich every time he goes a mission he has to fight with people 1 up to 3 leves ahead but he never just contract a high skilled fighter
Read up to ch104, and it has a pretty decent start, interesting world, and somewhat cool cheat. Yet the writing and MC that are OK in the beginning quickly turn to carp. The good / decent: 1. The side characters can be pretty funny and interesting. 2. The world and skill system themselves are OK-ish, but doesn't always fit with the "gene" thing. The bad: 1. a lot of "that person" when the villain is talking to some guy. Wooooo, so ominous. 2. Bunch of 'deus ex machina' where MC gets saved by something he did 'off screen' without any foreshadowing / hints. 3. Revenge plot. MC utterly destroys villain, but villain somehow has another trump card he hasn't used yet and survives just to get help and fights MC again, just to get destroyed once more. Generally quite generic revenge plot. + enemies pop up of nowhere, just to cause unnecessary trouble for MC. 4. Math, physics, chemistry and biology are all over the place, and it goes expecially out the window once he gets his first pet. 5. Lack of suspense. Kinda goes under 'deus ex machina', since when author or MC pulls wins the fight by something he did 'off camera' once (which happens quite often), the suspense in the next fights just dissappears. 6. MC is quite good in the start, but in later chapters he starts underestimating enemies and wastes so much time talking and throwing useless attacks. It has a good premise and world I guess, but the flat villain / revenge plot and MC that is unpredictable in a bad way just kills it for me. I'll continue reading because of the side characters, but it's going quite slowly... If you can endure the terrible writing / logic and speed read it, then props to you. 6/10
