CHAPTER TWELVE ~Kourtney

Rémy isn't home so I am waiting for him before the little courage I managed to gather vanishes. If I don't talk to him now, then there wouldn't be another time to do so, and I will just have to live with not knowing what's going on. Chanel is home though and she's keeping me company by painting my nails. She seems off though and by off, I mean absent-minded. She keeps staring at and touching the bandage on my hand.

"Hey, Nel. You okay girl?"

She drags her eyes to my face. For a second, I see confusion mix with fear in those gorgeous big eyes, but it quickly changes to her normal cold look. "I'm okay. Why? You're the one I'm supposed to be asking that since you're about to have 'the talk' with my brother."

Ugh, don't remind me. What is taking him so long? "I'm a little nervous but it's okay. It's Rémy and I've known him my entire life, but I don't know why I still feel anxious."

"It's normal and all. Relationships are so stressful. I wish you all the best."
