Chapter 283: Cunning Sofia

"Ouch, it hurt a lot." Sofia groaned in pain, holding her stomach.

Raymond raised a brow and walked over to her on the couch.

"What is wrong with you?" He asked bluntly, staring at her.

"My stomach hurts a lot. Arrgh." She grumbled as she screwed up her face.

"So what do you want me to do?" Raymond asked.

"I want you to take me to my room." She muttered with pouted lips, extending her hand to him.

"You want me to carry you?" Raymond inquired as Mr Josh walked over to him.

"Yes." She nodded.

Mrs Kingston walked over to them with a cup of hot water and medicine in her left hand.

"Oh Raymond, you are here." She remarked, walking over to Sofia, who frowned immediately.

"Here drink it. I think it will help reduce the pain." Mrs Kingston stated, handing her the cup.

"I want to go to my room first. Carry me on a piggyback ride." She muttered, staring at Raymond. Raymond stared at Mr Josh.

"Carry her." Raymond commanded.

Mr Josh squatted in front of Sofia, showing her his back.

"Get in," Mr Josh stated. Sofia hit him hard in the back.

"I want my husband." She said, staring at Raymond.

"I thought you were in pain. Do you still have the time to choose?" Raymond remarked.

Sofia screwed up her face like a child who wanted to cry and entered Mr Josh's back as he started leading her to her room while holding her legs.

"Is that necessary? Can't you carry your wife?" Mr Kingston inquired.

"Mom, I don't have enough strength right now." Raymond replied as he headed to his room.

He opened the door and entered. He collapsed on the bed, staring at the ceiling.

"Ryan's mother is beautiful." He muttered to himself and closed his mouth immediately.

"Why am I thinking about her?" He muttered as the door flew open.

A man wearing a black shirt strolled into the room.

"How are you, Mr Raymond?" He inquired.

He was Raymond's therapist.

"I am fine. What brought you here?" Raymond asked.

"Mr Josh asked me to come see you." He said as he sat on a chair opposite Raymond.

"So how are you feeling on a scale of 1-10?" He inquired.

"I am genuinely happy for the first time in a long time. I will say 7." Raymond replied.

"Why is that so?" He asked.

"Because I went to my little friend's birthday." Raymond replied.

"Who is your little friend?"

"Just a kid I met in a restaurant. Ever since then, I started liking him like he was my own son." Raymond replied.

"That is good to hear Mr Raymond. I think you are getting better." He replied, smiling widely.

"Why will a man think of a beautiful woman he just met?" Raymond inquired.

"Maybe he admires her beauty or he is attracted to her. You can't find a woman beautiful until you are attracted to her. That's why they say beauty is in the eyes of the beholder." He replied.

"Hmm," Raymond muttered as he closed his eyes.
