Chapter 218: The truth

"Chris, you are here I thought you were never going to come." She muttered.

Richard was stunned as he removed her hand from his waist.

"I am not Chris, so it's true that you are cheating on my brother." He stated.

Daisy opened her eyes wide in surprise as she stepped back slowly. It was awkward the way she hugged Richard just now. She couldn't even maintain eye contact with him. 

"I am not cheating on your brother, the truth is that I am not his wife." She said confidently.

"What are you saying?" He asked, touching her forehead to see if she was okay.

"It was an act, we didn't actually get married. I did all that for money." She stated bluntly.

"What! I can't believe I was fooled I believed every single thing." Richard muttered, staring at her in a surprised manner.

"It's the truth." She declared.

"I can't take this, you two are such a great match I wish it were true; does this mean...he gasped.

"Sofia, is his real wife?" He added

"Yes, she is." She replied.

"OMG this is messed up, so why are you telling me all this and what are you doing here?" He asked.

She stroked her hair back shyly and stared at the receptionist.

"She can't pay her hospital bill." The receptionist answered.

"Hospital bill? Are you a patient here?" He inquired, looking keenly at her. 

"I am a patient." She replied flatly.

"Why did you come here? What is wrong with you?" He inquired, 

"I was sick, can you pay my hospital bill for me? I promise I will pay you back." She muttered, battling her lashes, although she thought he wouldn't agree.

"How much is it?" Richard inquired, looking at the receptionist. 

"4,000 dollars." She replied.

He brought out his wallet and drilled out dollars and handed them to her. 

She took it from him, romancing his hand in the process.

"Thank you, sir," she beamed.

"You are welcome." He replied and grabbed Daisy's hand, dragging her out of the hospital. 

"Let go of me, what are you doing?" She asked as she pulled her hand from his grip.

"So what are you planning to do now that my brother is in a coma? Are you going to abandon him because my family chased you out of our house?" He asked.

"There is nothing left in our relationship. It was based on lies and deceit, so before things get out of hand, I am going out of his life." Daisy declared.

"You just made all these decisions on your own because he is in a coma. I bet if he was here you wouldn't have made such decisions." Richard muttered.

Daisy sighed. She wanted to look for a way to get him to leave her alone when an idea popped into her head.

"I don't want to have anything to do with your brother he is a liar and a rapist." She snarled. 

"Did he rape you?" He asked curiously. 

"Go and ask him yourself." She declared and walked out on him.

"Daisy, wait up!!" He yelled, running after her.
