Chapter 200: Cheating wife

Daisy hired a taxi to Chris's house. She relaxed on the back seat of the car and dialed his number, but he wasn’t picking up.

"He can’t be serious, can he?" she muttered, asking no one in particular. She didn’t know why Chris was asking this way, maybe perhaps because he missed her.

Minutes later, the taxi arrived at his doorstep. She stepped out of the taxi and paid the driver.

She sauntered to his front porch and rang the doorbell.

"I am coming!!" Chris yelled from inside. He was sitting in the living room with a girl and they were both drinking. He dropped his champagne on the table and rushed to open the door for Daisy.

He opened the door. Daisy smiled at him and wanted to hug him when he pushed her away.

"I am angry with you." He muttered, and started walking into the house.

"Don’t be like this, Chris do you know how much I sacrificed to be here?" she asked as she followed him into the house.

Daisy saw a girl sitting on the couch. She was taking a sip of her drink as Daisy glared at her. The first thing she noticed was her short, seductive dress. Daisy gnashed her teeth.

"Chris, who is this?" Daisy asked through clenched teeth.

"Calm down, babe, she is my friend." He replied.

"Friend? Since when did you bring your friends home?" she asked.

Chris stroked his hair back shyly.

"Actually, she is my colleague. We have a project we need to run together." He replied.

"Project? Are you kidding me? And you guys are drinking." Daisy asked as she grabbed a drink on the table and gulped it down.

"He is telling the truth." The girl defended in a soft tone.

Daisy dropped the glass on the table and glared at her.

"I was talking to my boyfriend, not you, Chris, come with me, we need to talk." Daisy said grabbing his hand and leading him out of the house.

"I am still angry with you." He muttered with pouted lips as he pulled his hand from her grip. She turned to look at him.

"Stop acting like this. You are not a child. Were you serious when you were telling me that you wanted to break up?" she asked, poking him on the chest. He grabbed her hand.

"Calm down, I just wanted to see you. It’s been a long time since I saw you. I really miss you a lot." He muttered as he grabbed her by the waist and pulled her closer to his chest. She looked into his eyes.

"So why did you want to see me?" she asked.

"Will I have an excuse to see my girlfriend?" he asked bluntly.

"Not really." She muttered.

He gave her a light kiss on the lips.

"I miss that." She beamed.

"I miss you more. Come, let’s have a drink and you know, hmm hmm." He muttered. She rolled her eyes at him.

"You will have to ask her to leave first." Daisy mumbled.
