STRUGGLING TO FIND FORM

Stefan was once again introduced to his team mates and it was not a warm welcome since they were not happy with the way he left last time. Stefan had to do an apology to the whole team after his childish behavior. When he got home he told his parents he is goin back to playing football that is what he does best. Marcus was happy on hearing that, he now asked they respect his decision and support him. They had to be happy for him. Marcus now became his agent and he hired a therapist who could help him to be physically strong. Stefan at a tender age had to hit the gym to build his body. As much it was difficult for him that was the only way he could escape injuries in his career. He also had to watch his diet to ensure he does not eat sugary foods. It was difficult for him since from now he was only eating greens and he did not like it. After a month he had improved his physique. and was ready to compete for a long time. He now was supposed to train well and now get back on the pitch. Stefan had put in the work and was now ready to get some minutes. The people had wondered for a while whether he will ever make his comeback on the pitch. Many reports had said he left football for Hollywood and chose to be an actor. The second half of the season was beginning after the winter break. That gave him time to train alone with the manager and to be told what his role in the club would be. Immediately the winter break was over he was named in the squad once again. That was a relief for the young Birmingham fans and substitutes. The good thing was schools were being closed in a weeks time, and they were going for a 3 months holiday. That would give him time to help his team finish the season strong. On the first weekend they were up against red pool FC. Stefan was on the bench watching the game. Birmingham were struggling for form and sitting 16th in the table, they were in the drop zone. In the second half he was told to warm up and come in. He did not hesitate to do so and he came on. He understood his role and the position he was supposed to play. He did not give a good performance but he was able to convert a spot kick which won the game. That was the situation for a while he did not give a good performance he was just average and nothing was spectacular. Birmingham were almost assured of being relegated to division one. Stefan still was not getting first start because he was being protected they did not want him to get another injury. Things were getting tougher in Birmingham since they were falling deeper into the drop zone. As the season progressed they now depended on their opponents to drop points so that they survive relegation. Mathematically they still had a chance of surviving from the drop zone. They had to prepare very well in order for them to stand a chance of surviving in the top flight league. The coach had to put intensive training to keep his players on check. They had to train very early in the morning and also in the evening.
