Chapter 13(The Rude R)

It have been a blissful week for Nathan though boring but still a happy one.

He was yet to resume school. He has been indoor with nothing much doing. A new school session will begin in a week time.

It was a hot Thursday the sun was very harsh but still shined bright that nothing was hidden from it.

Nathan out of boredom went out to eat. He was on foot. He wanted to try something new, something different from what the Golden day hotel offers.

His cars were yet to arrive,Mr Dwayne has already apologized tor the delay promising him that it will be ready in two days time. He couldn't wait to be on his beautiful cars.

He was in a smart jeans and a dull looking polo. It was one of his old wears. He was still flexing on his wornout wears. He did plan on changing his wardrobe. It have been nothing short of disappointment.

As he trekked he walked passed a window glass and then he retraced his step as he watches himself on the reflecting glass.

He was really disappointed on the figure he saw not that he didn't look handsome but his wears casted a terrible shadow on him.

This made him unhappy and there he made up his mind to go shopping after having his meal.

"Freethink restaurant" this was the words written on a huge rectangular squared building.

The building portrays a very astounding view. The helium lights, the natural surroundings and tranquility, the organization and arrangement is top notch.

Freethink restaurant is the best and most expensive restaurant in the University.

It is one of those places that Nathan never thought of entering then because his net worth then was not even equal to a plate of meal there.

As he is about to enter the security stopped and questioned him.

"Where are you going young man?"a fiery looking man asked still sitting on his chair near the door.

"What does it look like I am doing?" he replied with nonchalant facial expression. He was visibly annoyed by the security guard.

This angered the guard who has already down looked Nathan. He judged him based on his appearance for he surely didn't look like someone that could even pay for a plate of meal.

The guard stood up from his seat. He appears very huge and masculine. He closely matched to where Nathan stood dem! he was very intimidating.

True, this didn't impose any fear on Nathan. He was sure that on a one and one physical combat the guard was just a weakling to him.

Nathan since his recovery has been involved in many physical combat training ranging from judo, Taekwondo, boxing and martial arts.

He may not be the best in all this but he has made a remarkable progress that he could manhandle anyone, especially those deprived of any combating skills.

Just then the Manager appeared. He was walking pass and heard the altercation.

"What is the problem here?" he asked the guard

"This pauper here wants to enter this building" the gate guard replied while pointing at Nathan.

"How did you know that he is a pauper? "the manager asked with an alarming look

"Sir look at him he just can't fit in"

"Sir please can we see any form of identification" the manager directs to Nathan ignoring the guard

Nathan was impressed by the Manager's humble deposition. He immediately brought out a golden painted card with a bold italics word "Nathan Kane".

The manager on seeing this was immediately alarmed for he couldn't mistake not knowing the card. This was a card only in possession by the Kanes.

The card is a one of a kind. It is one of the Kanes trademark. This confers so much power to anyone in possession of the card.

The manager though have not seen the card have heard a lot about the card hence despite Nathan's appearance he couldn't help but apologize meekly.

The guard was very confused but he was sure of one thing and that's he has made a very wrong move perhaps one shouldn't judge a book by its cover .

Nathan watched with bewilderment. He couldn't believe the power a single card could amass.

The card was the last item given to him by his uncle with the clear instruction that the card will save him from many unpleasant situations.

Very sure he doubted the importance given to the card by his uncle but witnessing the influence it had on the manager he couldn't believe less.

To Nathan the manager was very innocent and did really approach him like a human being unlike the lowly positioned guard who despite his low level position was very rude.

Right there he told the manager that for him to forgive him he must sack the guard.

In few minutes the guard already had his bag packed and was immediately discharged from his duties. He must surely have to learn from the hard way that "A book shouldn't be judged by its cover".

He was then offered a position where he will have his meal for he was already very hungry.

Within minutes he was done with the meal 'a nice meal' he thought to himself filling utmost satisfaction.

After some good rest he went and paid for his meal before he left. He also acquired the premium membership card.

The premium was the highest membership card. Every member are treated with the best meal and proper reception. The membership card is a very expensive card worth about $5 million with which subscription every six months.

He then left for shopping, heading to the Mayflower boutique wasn't quite far from the restaurant. The boutique is a well know boutique franchise that deals with the best kinds of wears mostly expensive and quality wears.

"Hi please where is the men section?" Nathan asked the very fair looking receptionist.

She stared at Nathan and ignored him.

Nathan was very annoyed about her stupid gesture but he decided not to react. He then asked again

"Please where can I get men wears?"

"Oh my God! you guys are really a pain in my ass. Don't you have eyes? well I don't blame you I blame myself stoping so low to work here" she yelled furiously

She continued

"go down by the south side and there you can have whatever you want. Wait are you sure you can afford the items here?" she asked with annoyance.
