Trick and Trap

While the others were gathering the remaining Magic Stones, one of the party members found a mysterious tunnel. The tunnel was very dark and big. Because it felt strange, they all gathered in front of the mouth of the tunnel.

"The tunnel in the floor, a little suspicious. But other senior Bellators have found this and there they found many artifacts that help them become strong," Andras said after looking around the tunnel.

He then activates the ability he has, Hand Torch. Instantly, his hand glowed bright orange and slowly flames began to cover his arm. He then raised his hand, a small fireball shot out of his hand and he threw it into the tunnel. He intended to see how far the tunnel was to the other end.

"Hm, there is a possibility that we will find the boss room and also treasure there," said Andras.

Some people seemed hesitant to hear what Andras said, and some others looked the opposite. Andras then proposes to take a voting action to determine whether they will continue the search in the tunnel, or complete the conquest of the floors.

"Okay, because there is a possibility that it is more dangerous there, then we will do a vote. If it has been agreed later, then no one is allowed to protest against the agreement, how about it?"

Everyone agreed with Andras's proposal. This way, everyone still has the opportunity to discontinue browsing.

Then, voting began. Some people chose not to search. But some chose to explore the tunnel, including Varos. Voting also resulted in equal yes and no votes, and now only Galam remains.

"Then how about you, Galam? What's your choice?" Andras asked Galam's opinion since he had not yet cast his vote.

Galam thought hard. He knew very well that there was a possibility that he would die if he chose to search. But he needed money, he did it for his family. There was no other choice but to fight for him.

"I chose to continue the search," Galam said loudly and firmly.

Finally, an agreement has been made by choosing to continue the search. They were all aware their choices were likely to have dire repercussions. But their passion can not be stopped halfway just like that.

After some time had passed, they still had not found the end of the tunnel. Some people started to get restless and scared, some of them even started to feel nauseous because they couldn't contain their fear.

"Chief, haven't we gone too long? We haven't even found the end of this tunnel," said one of the party members to Andras.

"You are right." Andras seemed to think after hearing the words of his members.

He then announced to all party members that they would continue to search. "Everyone, listen to me! We've been going through this tunnel for too long and haven't found the other end. We'll explore this tunnel for a few more steps and we'll be back when we're sure we haven't found anything."

Everyone nodded in agreement with Andras' orders. They finally returned to continue their journey through the tunnel.

Galam walks in the back with Sana. He kept his eyes on the girl beside him. He felt that there was something wrong with Sana, the girl had been silent ever since they started entering this tunnel.

"Sana, are you okay? Why have you been silent all this time?" Galam ventured to ask Sana.

"Galam, do I look okay?!" Sana's face was red with anger. He was annoyed with Galam and he was trying not to kill him right now.

"W-wait! Are you angry because of my decision?"

"Are you that stupid?! Why do you always put your position in danger?! Aren't you afraid to die?! What about your sister if you die here, you idiot!" The girl really couldn't contain her emotions.

Sana still shows her disapproving face. If Sana had the guts to kill Galam, she might as well have done it right now.

"I-I'm sorry that my decision also ended up involving you by force. But I have reasons why I chose to continue the search."

Sana pretended not to hear Galam's words. She didn't care what excuse Galam said. She was only really worried about Galam's condition, but the man stupidly chose to commit suicide instead.

After a while, Andras suddenly stopped his steps and was followed by the members behind him. Finally, they found a giant door that they believed was the end of the tunnel.

"Looks like we've arrived."

Andras began to look around from the door. Luckily, he found no sign of traps or monsters around the door. Andras gave the code to the other members that the door was safe.

However, shortly after, the door suddenly opened. This made several party members surprised and got into a fighting stance.

Grooo!

"Everyone! Prepare to fight!" Andras directed his members to prepare themselves.

All the party members began to prepare their respective weapons. They are ready if there is an enemy attack from in front of them. However, after a while the door opened, nothing came out of it. Because of that, they relaxed their preparations and made sure that the situation was safe.

They finally decided to enter the room behind the door. They were all shocked, the contents of the room were neither treasure nor monsters. The ones there were more terrifying than just monsters. Many coffins were gathered in the room. It was as if they had entered a tomb of an unknown being.

"Gosh! Look at all these coffins! What the hell is this place?!" said one of the party members.

"This is worse than us having to meet some hordes of goblins." The other members also responded.

They walked through every corner of the room. Apart from the coffin, the thing that amazed them was the luxury of the room. Unlike a ruin or a tomb, the place was decorated with an abundance of jewels and gold. It's more fitting to be called a palace than a meal if you ignore the coffins that are gathered there.

"Isn't this both amazing and terrifying? Did the angels do something like this?" said Varos who was amazed by the room.

"I don't know. If that's the case, doesn't that mean this is the tomb of the legends?" Andras said while looking at the various knick-knacks that decorated the room.

While the others were busy admiring the place, Galam felt otherwise. He was suspicious of the room. As if what they saw was just an illusion.

Galam's feelings were not mere suspicion without evidence. He had felt strange since he saw how the condition of the door from the room. If the contents of the room could be this beautiful, the door should have several guards and there was no way they could enter it without any conditions they had to fulfill. Galam felt, there was a trigger where they could see the true appearance of the room.

"I found an artifact stone like that!"

One of the party members shouted after finding a strange stone. They began to gather to see how the condition of the stone. When they were curious about the stone, one of the party members accidentally touched Andras' sword and injured it, and the blood dripped right on the stone.

"Ah!" shouted the man.

"Are you okay?" Andras saw the condition of the person's hand.

At the same time, the stone lit up brightly after drops of blood fell on the rock. A magic circle suddenly activated and removed the veil in the room, revealing the room's original condition.

"What is the meaning of all this?!"

When the veil was removed, all the beauty was gone and turned into a terrible room. The door of the tunnel began to close and all the lids of the coffin began to open. What Galam was worried about actually happened. All of that was just a trick, now they are trapped.

"E–everyone! Prepare to fight!"

Everyone started to panic. They couldn't even raise their weapons. When they got ready, again nothing happened. No monsters or anything appeared and attacked them.

"Ash! To hell with this place! Treasure or whatever, take it as you please! I'm leaving!" One of the party members chose to resign and left the room.

When the man reached the exit, a sword slid swiftly and stabbed him in the chest until he and the sword stabbed into the door of the room. Everyone was shocked after witnessing that. They immediately looked in the direction the sword came from, but there was no one there. Everyone started freaking out.

This time, Galam's instincts told them that what they were seeing was the beginning of a great tragedy that was about to befall them. Galam could only mumble to witness the incident.

"Damn, looks like I'm going to die here today."
