Chapter 80 - Heroine

On the helicopter,

Waiting for the right time, Lev, Lindow, and Sakuya continue to keep their distance from the plane while observing the situation. The pilot also seemed to know their situation as he operated the helicopter with carefulness not to get too close and attract their attention.

"I think the plane isn't gonna make it." Lev said while looking at the plane constantly being attacked by the Aragamis. He could no longer wait to jump down and kill them since he did not come here just to meet the heroine but also to level up and improve.

"Have we made contact with the transport?" Lindow asked the one who was operating the helicopter after hearing Lev's words as he could also the situation of the plane and it was not looking good no matter how he looks like it.

"There's been no response." The pilot replied.

Hearing the pilot, Lindow and Sakuya frowned while looking again at the plane. They all thought that this was going to be difficult to do, however, they could not just leave the place and fail the mission without even trying.

"Someone's out there." Seeing them still standing not knowing what to do, Lev sighed and then said what the original protagonist would say this time for which Lindow and Sakuya felt shocked just like the way it did since they were still far from the plane, and it was hard to see from those distracting Aragamis.

After saying that, Lev then looked at the girl on the plane and saw how she changed her weapons and used them to kill an Aragami. This time, Lindow and Sakuya had also noticed her, and then they told the pilot to move much closer and put them on the same frequency to contact the person on the plane.

"This is the 1st Unit of the Far East Branch. If you hear me, please respond!" Lindow said hoping that the person on the plane got the message while he looked at her in the helicopter.

"Yes, this is Alisa Ilinichina Amiella." The girl on the plane replied upon hearing the message while looking at her surroundings.

Hearing the response, Lindow then sighed before telling her that they were ordered to rescue and bring her back to the base, however, Alisa argued like the original and told him that she didn't need to be rescued.

Following that, Alisa then turns off her communication device before transforming her God Arc again as she is determined to kill all the Aragami in her sight.

On the helicopter,

This time, Lev finally had seen the sun rising and couldn't help but look at how beautiful it was from their position. He greatly appreciated such a scene before looking back on the plane.

"Stubborn like the original." Lev said as he grabbed Sword Infinity on his back before jumping down ready to engage.

"Wait, Lev!!" Lindow shouted after seeing Lev jumping down without permission.

"Sigh. It can't be helped now." Lindow scratched his head before immediately ordering Sakuya to support Lev since he gave them no way out anymore but to help.

Hearing Lindow, Sakuya was already in position as she started pointing her God Arc toward some of the Aragamis in were blocking Lev's way down.

On the plane,

After jumping down smoothly, Lev first looked at Alisa since this would be his first time seeing her in the flesh. She has unkempt gray hair topped by a red beret. She wears a short, sleeveless jacket that covers her chest with a zipper only halfway closed from up to down, exposing her midriff and some cleavage, and a checkered red skirt. She was also wearing black, fingerless gloves, with the left on it extending to her elbow, and black thigh-length boots.

Meanwhile, Alisa also looked at Lev but she didn't say anything before she transformed her God Arc into a machine gun and killed the Aragami coming on Lev's back without any notice. Lev, on the other hand, stays still before rushing forward toward Alisa to kill the incoming Aragami behind her.

Following that, Lev and Alisa then started coordinating like they were partners for years but unlike Lev who was very experienced, Alisa was still making some small mistakes and still needed to improve especially her attitude of being very competitive.

Lindow and Sakuya who were on the helicopter above looked at them with surprise after seeing them killing Aragamis. They knew about Lev being abnormally powerful but seeing the New-Type keeping up with him was extraordinary.

In the midst of their fighting, a sudden screech could be heard and they all looked at it and saw how the Aragami evolved and started calling the others.

"Are you the other New-Type?" Alisa suddenly asked while looking at Lev and his sword with her still expressionless face.

"No, I'm not." Lev replied casually while looking at the Aragami who had just evolved.

Hearing Lev, Alisa then just stayed still and looked at him with interest. She had questions to ask but the time wasn't right and decided to ask later when they were done.

On the helicopter,

Seeing the Aragamis who were gathering and now getting closer to the plane, Lindow immediately ordered the pilot to get the helicopter close to the plane as he also wanted to jump down.

"The situation has changed. Sorry, but you're coming with us." Lindow immediately said after jumping down as he decided to take Alisa back and abandoned the plane thinking that the situation had gotten worse.

However, instead of giving a reply. Alisa immediately ran off which Lindow planned to follow but was blocked by an Aragami.

"Tsk. Lev, go after her." Lindow said upon seeing that he was occupied and thought he could not catch up with her.

Even without Lindow's words, Lev immediately followed Alisa behind with a smile as he already knew what would happen later since this also happened in the original story and no matter how he wanted to skip this part, it was not his call to make such a decision.

In some area on the plane,

After following Alisa, Lev could now be seen casually walking when a sudden punch was coming toward him followed by a kick, but he already anticipated this and evaded it with ease.

"You did not listen and now you're fighting the people who would save your ass. Tsk." Lev said while only evading her following attacks without fighting back as this was also good for his Observation Haki as training.

Seeing this, Alisa couldn't believe why her attacks couldn't reach him and she could not help but fall back and move toward her God Arc.

"It's useless to try to force me to go with you. I'm not leaving this plane." Alisa said before grabbing her God Arc and running towards a door.

"I'm not here to force you anyway." Lev replied before following Alisa inside.

Inside the plane,

After following Alisa inside, Lev then immediately saw several wounded people lying on the floor just like in the original story. Some were lying on the floor in pain while some were tending to the injuries of others. It was heartwarming to see people helping each other but he could also see the anxiousness on their faces since the thought that they wouldn't survive still lingered on their heads.

"It'll rattle a bit, but don't worry. I'll get you all to the Far East Branch. I promise!" Alisa said assuring the people inside that they will reach their destination safely despite knowing the situation outside.

Seeing this situation, Lev then called Lindow and Sakuya and told them that there were several people on the plane and the two then realized why Alisa was so stubborn about not leaving the plane.

Following that, they then talked for a while before deciding to use the plane and make it to the Far East Branch Headquarters instead of using the helicopter. Lindow after having some time came inside to see the situation before telling them his plan but Lev suggested something else in the process.

Outside the plane,

After planning on what to do, Lev, Lindow, and Alisa could now be seen back outside the plane while looking at the upcoming swarm of Aragamis with their respective weapons in their hand.

"I know you wouldn't say a thing if you could not handle it. Lev, then I leave the evolved one to you." Lindow said after Lev told them earlier that he could kill the evolve ones in one shot so their threat would be nothing.

"Yeah, just leave it to me." Lev said before transforming Sword Infinity into a bow and buying several arrows in the system store different from what he had used back on the Douluo Dalu.

Seeing Lev's weapon change, Lindow and Alisa looked at it with surprise and curiosity. Upon the days that they were on the mission, Lindow and Sakuya had never seen Lev's weapon changed and so this would be their first time seeing it. Alisa, on the other hand, was shocked for a while before she thought that it would be better to transform it into a gun or something else instead of a bow.

Following that, Lev then summoned the arrow that he bought and started aiming. He stretched out the boy and then locked on the evolved Aragami from the distance. He smirked seeing it ordering some unevolved ones to gather around him but he wasn't worried and shot the arrow with full force.

Upon release, the arrow created a flash of lightning because of how fast it was added by its uniqueness as Lev bought an arrow with a lightning attribute. In a flash, the evolved Aragami gets killed along with the unevolved ones blocking him.

Following the death of the evolved one, the other Aragamis then started losing their rhythm and were now in chaos seeing them flying towards the plane on a rampage coming.

Meanwhile, Lindow, Sakuya, and Alisa all looked at Lev, no, to be precise his weapon as what he did was still fresh and they couldn't believe that it could produce such a strong attack. However, each one of them had different expressions on their face. Lindow had now realized why his sister was so adamant about asking him to know more about Lev. Sakuya, however, was only surprised to see it. On the other hand, it was not the same with Alisa who was very shocked to the core, thinking the weapon he chose to transform was stupid but was in fact as destructive as a gun or more powerful than it.

"If you have the time to be shocked then you should probably have the time to deal with this incoming attack. Wake up! This is just the beginning!" Lev shouted after seeing the rampaging Aragamis and saw one of them was starting to evolve just like what he had killed.

"I-It's evolving." Sakuya said and was shocked again after seeing another one start evolving again. Lev had just killed one and yet another would come again. She could not imagine what would happen if two or more of them would evolve at the same time.

Following that, the Aragamis then started becoming organized again after the birth of another evolved one.

"Shit. Lev, we'll take the rest. Kill all those who evolve." Lindow immediately said upon seeing another evolve again. He doesn't have time to be surprised anymore since their lives would be at risk here if they could not defend the plane.

Without Lindow saying, Lev stretched out his bow again and a battle then started as he kept on shooting against the evolved Aragamis coming toward them while the others were also doing their best to kill as many Aragami as they could.

Far East Branch Headquarters,

"The mission was a success. Alisa Ilinichina Amiella and the other survivors are already on their way back to the base." Tsubaki reported while looking at Johannes on the monitor screen after getting the news from Lindow.

"That's good to know, just give me the report later." Johannes replied wanting to know the details of the mission, especially about Lev since there must be something that he will know about this since he adamantly wanted to join the mission.

"Yes, Sir." Tsubaki said. Though her face doesn't have any reaction of some sort, she was actually worried about Lev thinking that Johannes would probably take action upon knowing the report.

"Well done, Wish them a safe journey." Johannes lastly said before turning off the monitor.

Tsubaki, on the other hand, looked at the monitor while ordering the people around to continue asking for reports.

On the plane,

After a day's battle, Lev and others could now finally relax seeing them now resting inside the plane after killing all the Aragami outside. The plane had sustained some damage but it was manageable as they used it now on their way back to the base when suddenly Sakuya nervously reported something.

"Lindow, please respond! An Oracle reaction has been confirmed!" Sakuya said with nervousness while looking at the device she was holding while still on the helicopter they were at before.

Right after that, Lindow immediately asked if it was the same Aragami earlier but Sakuya strongly denied that she was not sure as it was incredibly huge and was moving very fast toward them.

Hearing the report, Lindow, Lev, and Alisa then came out to see it after ordering Sakuya to leave the helicopter and use it as a decoy. Right after that, Sakuya and the pilot followed the instructions immediately as they jumped down.

It didn't take long before Lev and the others could now finally see the Aragami that Sakuya was talking about. Seeing the Aragami, Lindow and Alisa widened their eyes after seeing its huge body and they couldn't imagine how horrible it was, however, it was not the same with Lev as he was smiling upon seeing it and was thinking of roaming around the world after finishing his mission.

Seeing the huge Aragami stop pursuing them and follow the helicopter, Lev and the other then sighed in relief before heading inside the plane again to rest and wait for them to arrive back at the headquarters.

Far East Branch Base,

Lev and the other took quite a time as the sky was already dark when they arrived back at the base. After taking all the people injured in the plane and reporting some important information to the operating room, Lev and the others then separated ways and were now free to do their own business.

At this moment, Lev, Sakuya, Sia, Shio, and Iroha were now eating in the cafeteria. It could be seen how hungry Sakuya was as she had already eaten a mouthful of food as they didn't have any proper rest while or after fighting the Aragamis.

Lev and the others looked at her for a while before they continued talking and eating. Alisa, on the other hand, was indifferent and was just listening to them while silently eating her meal.

It was only until the night that the Lev and the rest parted ways. Sia and Shio are already in Lev's room, Iroha getting back to her own room while Lev visits Tsubaki's room again wanting to adhere to what he said back then.

Tsubaki room,
