Mangull the Mangler

One gull finds himself at the center of a great struggle for control of the Greater Universe. Verbose synopsis: Roughly 3 million years B.M. (Before Mangull), the Greater Universe consisted of the nothing except four 'pools' of mana existing within what is known as the Null Realm. Over time, and for reasons not quite understood by modern sages, these pools began to spew their mana outward into this realm, creating long and branching channels of the four mana types: fire, water, air, and earth. The leading theory by most modern sages is that these channels then began to intermingle, creating complex natural systems and compounds. It is also theorized that at about 2 million B.M. the first sentient being arose from this primordial soup of mana, and that being aided in the creation of the other realms within the Null Realm. Those realms were then populated by gods, who, in turn, populated the realms with lower beings (mortals and 'demi-gods'). During the time of Mangull the Mangler, the power balance of the beings populating the Greater Universe is going through a major shift. Over the eons the various mana pools have waned in power, with some pools nearing their depletion. Still, other pools run strong, and various groups of beings have been vying for control of realms. Enter one simple gull, who, through the interaction of those around him, just may be the variable needed to tip the scales (but in what direction?).

Zea The Crestfallen

In this world of beauty and cruelty, how should one really live? Should one be religious or philosophical or romantic or scientific or just be oneself? These are questions none can really answer with absolute certainty. Life is unpredictable , beautiful yet harsh at the same time. From the moment we are born, we are gradually empowered but shackled by existing knowledge and concepts and before we were born, we can’t say with absolute confidence that we existed somewhere or anywhere at all. This all might sound ridiculous to you all, but I know for a fact that trusting science in believing there is no God, heavens, hells, souls just sounds too sad for humanity. We are born, we live and we die which is considered the end of our existence forever. Sure, one can argue our friends, relatives and loved ones will surely remember us. Well, I can’t really tell since I hardly have been blessed with such good people around me. I can say that even if they do remember you, you are no longer in existence and they, being busy with their own lives, will surely forget all about you in time, or they just simply die themselves eventually. Even great historical figures like Adam ,Eve, King Solomon, Jesus, Hazrat Muhammad (SM), Albert Einstein, Isaac Newton, Stan Lee etc. are barely respected and believed in . Their once immortal legends will soon fade into the darkness either by humanity’s own hands or the hand of time and fate. Fate is what one can call things directly or indirectly caused by mother nature for the scientific geniuses, or caused by God Himself for the religious saints. Either way, it is a real thing which defines our way of life and death in an extremely vague way. All of you must be wondering , is this a synopsis or a crazy person’s speech about life and this world? Well, I think it is both and at the same time, none. Every genre focuses on its integral part, for dramas it's the people, for romance it’s the lovers, for action it’s the moves, for adventure it’s the journey , for documentaries it's the documented person, for mystery it’s the secrets and for this story; it is none yet all of them together. The story of a person waiting, trying to find something, anything meaningful to him. To him, it’s not power, wealth, love , family, authority, divinity or anything like that, he later discovers at the very end what it was, and is not anymore.
