THE RESULT
Mrs bill leaped for joy, as she heard her husband being announced as president, Shelly couldn't believe her eyes, she was the President's daughter.
The people of Lilly land were happy that Jerry Bill was their president. The country has suffered because of poor governance.
Immediately Diamond heard the news, he called his mother and told her, he was booking the closest flight to Lilly land. Everyone was happy because they knew he was a good man and would develop their country.
Joan called Shelly and congratulated her for becoming the first daughter, then Rita also called her and congratulated her. John was not left out he also called to congratulate her.
The president threw a big party and everyone, I mean everyone was invited. They rented a hall that it's seating capacity can occupy more than 500 people. Different kind of delicacy was prepared. It was an exclusive event people from far and near attended the party.
"Dom! Dom!! Dom!!!", is heard coming out of the hall, people are seen moving up and down in a disorganized manner, looking for who to hook up with. Shelly, John, and Rita were present. Shelly was waiting for her brother to come.
Immediately Diamond entered the hall, a girl noticed him and shouted, " Oh my God, it's Diamond ", everyone turned to look at him and he smiled broadly. The presence of Diamond added luster to the occasion. He was the coolheaded type.
He went straight to where his mother was and hugged her. Shelly didn't want to be identified as the president daughter, so she didn't move.
Diamond was blindly searching through the crowd if he would see Shelly, Shelly saw him and waved to signify where she was. She signified him to meet her in one of the rooms.
She was waiting for Diamond in the room, when he walked in, she ran to hug him. " I've missed you so much", Shelly said. "Me too", Diamond said smiling. " When did you arrive", she asked. "Well I have gone to the house before coming here", he answered.
As they were discussing, Rita walked in with a girl and walked towards Shelly. Shelly on sighting her ran to hug her.
" Who is this" Shelly asked referring to the girl that came with Rita. "Oh, she is my elder sister and I forced her to come with me, her name is Princess". She said.
Princess was a nice and calm person. she was very beautiful. Diamond kept a fixed gaze at her, her long thick lustrous hair wiggling around her back. She was in a midnight blue T-shirt and a black skirt. Her voice was mellifluous as she speaks, and her eyes were luminous. The mascara on her eyelashes was well applied and her brows well timed.
Rita dragged Shelly, forcing her to go back to the hall, Shelly told her brother that she would talk to him later and she left with Rita to the dancing floor. The performers had manic energy and enthusiasm.
They left Diamond and Princess standing alone in the room. Diamond introduced himself to her as the President's son. She told him she knew because his picture was all over the internet.
Diamond knew it was a result of his friends. They talked for a while before he went to meet his father. While with his father, they offered him a martini but he refused because he doesn't drink alcohol.
Everyone was in a state of merriment, Rita and Shelly were dancing, then John walked towards them, and as he looked at Shelly, her dark malevolent eyes caused him to quiver, he decided to go meet Diamond.
After dancing for a very long time, everyone was in a state of torpor. The event lasted for a very long time. When it was dark, the thunder growled menacingly, before everyone went home. Diamond did not leave without Princess's phone number.
As Shelly got home, she started questioning her brother concerning Princess. "What's up between the both of you, I felt a strange energy", Shelly asked. " See, little sister, it's none of your business", Diamond said. "I may be young but I'm certainly not stupid", she said. " Wait I just got back and all you have to do was to monitor me", he said. "Only if you feel monitored, or is your conscience judging you", she said.
" What consciences? I'm going to my room, if you have anything meaningful to tell me, please come because I will be going back very soon" he said, leaving her standing.
Later that day the Bill family came together and discussed before retiring to their various rooms.
Princess got home tired, it wasn't usually her type of atmosphere but she had to do it because of Rita. She kept on thinking about Diamond.
Still deep in thought, Rita knocked at her door and she told her to come in. "I can see you are stressed out," Rita said. "Yes all thanks to you" she answered laughing. "You know, I want to ask you a question," Rita said. "Okey, go ahead" she answered. " Well are you falling for Diamond?" she asked. " What! what do you mean, oh I see" she said nodding her head.
"Well I don't like hiding things from you, so it's a yes" she answered. Rita looked at her and smiled mischievously. "You are of age, so I'll leave you to that" Rita told her and left. Princess wondered the kind of sensitive sister she had.
After a week Diamond went back to London, where he was schooling, he didn't leave without seeing Princess once or twice.
It was on Monday and everyone went to school, the principal announced to them that their examination would be starting on Friday and told them it would determine their final score, some were happy while others were sad.
Everyone got to class and was talking about their president, Jerry Bill. They did not leave Diamond Bill out of the discussion, because his picture was all over the internet.
Shelly was in a group discussion with some of the girls in her class. 'I heard the president had a daughter in secondary school ", Sarah said. " Yes, but no one knows her", Mary said. "She must be very secretive", Nelly said.
Shelly was looking at all of them and nodded her head to each statement they made. " But let's talk about how Diamond is cute", Nelly said. They all nodded their head. As they were talking, Rita was looking at Shelly in deceit because she was the president daughter.
John and a group of guys were studying for their exams, and they brought up the discussion about the president daughter. "I Wonder who she might be", a boy said. " Well I don't think she's anything special," John said. "If I get hold of the President's daughter, I will never let her go," Andrew said. "But come to think of it, don't you guys see the striking resemblance between Shelly and Diamond?" Paul asked.
They all nodded their head in agreement. John saw trouble coming but did not know how to end the discussion. He tried changing the discussion but to no avail.
Andrew went to the front of the class and drew everyone's attention. He said, " everyone will you agree with me that Shelly looks like Diamond ".
Shelly was shocked and tried to cover her face. Some group of girls took their phones and browsed his picture and compared it with Shelly's face and it seemed true to them.
"Shelly tell us the truth, are you the President's daughter," said a girl from the back. Everything became Topsy-Turvy for Shelly at that moment.
