MOVIE NIGHT
Saturdays are like the best day of the week, some students sees it as a day of freedom and some as a day of rest while for others it was the beginning of numerous hard work.
That Saturday Shelly woke up and opened her window. The sun was radiant, she loves to see the morning sun and one surprising thing she saw was the rainbow.
She was excited, it was so colorful and bright. She remembered how she was told by her bible teacher it signifies that God won't destroy the earth with water again.
To Shelly, Saturday was a free day, she doesn't have to engage herself in domestic work, because they had a lot of maids, but one thing she did was learn how to cook.
Around the early hours of that day, Shelly told the workers to prepare a room, saying they would be using it for a celebration.
The workers put a room together because they had several rooms in their mansion. There was a television set, beautifully made chairs, and all sorts of food and drinks.
Shelly couldn't wait for the movie night, she picked up her phone and called Joan, she told her everything about the project. Joan was happy they were getting along, she told her to have fun.
John woke up looking like someone who has just been drenched by the rain. He went to do his chores, he was not the lazy type, though they were rich he never used that as an opportunity to be lazy.
He then got himself prepared for the movie night at Shelly's house. He called peter and asked him if he was ready for the movie night, He told him that he was outside the gate.
John immediately ran outside and saw him. He went inside took his bag and left with peter for the movie night.
Shelly was at home waiting anxiously for everyone to arrive. She heard the doorbell ring and quickly ran outside to check who it was.
She became even more excited when she saw Rita and Sarah. She unhesitatingly welcomed them and she took them to the room, which she has earlier prepared. She told them to sit anywhere, that she wants to check if the rest has arrived.
She went outside the gate to see if anyone was coming, she sited John and Peter from afar and waited for them. When they got to where she was, they exchanged pleasantries and Shelly took them to where Rita and Sarah were.
Shelly asked John if he has seen Anthony, he suddenly remembered and phoned him but he did not answer, he dialed his number again and it went through.
He told John that he won't be able to make it, and that an urgent family meeting came up. John understood and told him it was not a problem.
"Since we are all here, then we should start", Shelly said. She told them that there were all kinds of food and snack, and that they should feel free to take anything they want.
Everyone was happy when she made the last statement. " Can I see you outside? " John said to Shelly. "Okey, I will be right back", She told everyone. When they got outside, John looked at her.
She didn't exactly know what he called her for but was hoping he probably called her out to thank her for being nice to him. " I want to ask you a question and it goes like this.
Why did you hug me yesterday and immediately ran away? "John asked. Shelly did not know where to hide her face, she just kept a fixed gaze at the ground. " Why aren't you answering me, when have you suddenly become shy," John said.
"It was nothing" Shelly answered. John saw that Shelly was becoming unhappy, so he stopped questioning and told her it was okay, that they should go inside. Shelly went inside without altering a word.
Boom! boom!! boom!!! is heard coming from the TV, everyone was enjoying themselves. They were watching an action movie. Mission impossible was the name of the movie and it was very interesting.
At some point, some of them would shout, immediately they shouted, they would all laugh. John was sitting close to Shelly, followed by Rita, then Sarah, and finally Peter.
"I love this guy, tom cruise, he's my favorite movie star" Sarah said. Everyone looked at her and laughed. Shelly's mind was on the question that John asked her, she did not even have a reasonable explanation of why she hugged him.
After they finished watching the movie, it was already 6 pm. Everyone ate and drank after the first movie. When everyone was fully settled, they switched to a horror movie.
"Ah! oh my God", everyone shouted, it was very, very scary. At some point, Shelly would hold John tight unconsciously.
After the horror movie, everyone was tired. Shelly slept on John's shoulder, Rita was in a corner sleeping, Sarah was on the floor and Peter was on the couch.
Rita got up and saw everyone sleeping, she did not know when they all slept off. She looked at the time, it was 8 minutes past 8. She looked at John and Shelly and thought she was dreaming.
She slapped herself twice to check if she was dreaming, but found out it was real, Shelly was sleeping on John's body. She quickly carried her phone and took a photo of them. She intended to post it on the internet.
She posted it on all social media platforms tagging, it "cutest situation". She later woke everyone up and they all went home, not having an idea of what Rita did.
Joan was on the internet on Sunday and was checking out things for her school assignment. When she saw the picture of Shelly and John, she was so amazed.
Immediately she called Shelly to ask her if she has seen the post but there was a network problem. She didn't know what to do and told herself she would try to call her later.
She called John and asked him if he has seen the picture of Shelly and himself. He asked her what picture, and she told him to check for himself. He told her he would call her later.
John checked and saw the picture, he checked who posted it and saw it was Rita. He didn't want Shelly to hear it from his mouth, saying she should find out for herself.
On Monday, Shelly got to school happy. After assembly, everyone was looking at her and she wondered why.
A girl shouted from the back saying, " Shelly, you didn't tell us something was going on, eh, so you have been pretending". Shelly didn't understand what she was saying, but John knew and didn't say a word.
Sarah quickly ran to meet Shelly and asked her if she has seen the post of her and John. "What picture", Shelly asked. Sarah showed her the picture and she was shocked. When it was traced down, they found out Rita was behind it.
Shelly looked at John and said, " you knew and you didn't tell me, if you had told me I wouldn't have come to school today". "I was too afraid to tell you because I thought you would blame me as usual, so that's why I didn't say anything", John answered.
Shelly got up and went to meet Rita and scolded her for doing such a thing and she angrily left the class. John ran after her, but she told him not to follow her, she ran to the library.
Throughout that day, no one saw her in class, immediately they closed she ran to meet her driver and she wondered what her mum would say about it Since she was always on the internet 247.
Everyone searched for Shelly in school, but could not find her, they checked her favorite place the library, but couldn't find her, so they assumed she has gone home.
Rita blamed herself, she did not know what to do. She dialed her number severely but could not get a response.
John was never bothered about the whole thing, he knew his parents were not the internet type, they were the type that cared only about their business and nothing more.
When he got home he greeted his parents, and they answered. He was relieved, throughout that day his parents didn't even mention a word. He tried calling Shelly, but she wasn't answering.
So, he called Joan and told her everything that happened in school saying that Shelly wasn't picking up anyone's call and that she should try calling her.
When Shelly got home, she greeted her mother and went upstairs to her room. After taking her lunch, her mother called her and asked her what the picture she saw on the interest was about.
She explained everything to her mum and her mum warned her never to allow such a thing to happen again. She was happy, she went back to her room and saw a missed call from Joan.
She called her back and Joan told her not to be angry, that she should stop rejecting everyone's calls. She agreed and they discussed for a while before she ended the call.
later that day, Rita came to see Shelly but she told the maid to tell her that she was not at home, then Rita left.
Shelly and her mother were watching the TV and they announced that Jerry Bill has won the primary election.
Mrs. Bill was happy while Shelly opened her mouth in shock, all she was thinking was "this might be too much for me to handle".
