The chase (2)

" whoosh!!" Two streams of light whooshed through the sky at breakneck speeds. Two lights, one golden, the other blood red moved at rapid speeds. Upon looking closely one could see that, the blood red light was actually after the golden light, as it provided no room for its escape.

" Boom!!" An instant later, the blood colored light smashed into the golden light, as a massive shockwave erupted. The golden light immediately smashed through mountains before coming to a stop, revealing two figures badly injured and covered in golden ichor.

Athena was even more severely injured, as she kept on vomiting blood. However, she slowly stood up, took a deep breath and flashed a ferocious smile.

" Hahaha!! How intriguing. You two are not on my level at all and yet you refuse to stay down". Ares laughed, as his war hammer flew to him with a stretch of his hand.

" Not on your level? You think I don't know how strong you are Ares? You're just a tier three True God. And I can't believe you can't even kill two Gods who were born yesterday. How shameful" Athena sneered, before casting a meaningful look at Adonis.

The way of the Divine was divided into six realms. The Demi-God realm, True God realm, Elder God realm, All Father level, Cosmic Entity and finally Multiversal. All realm were divided into 3 tiers.

Demi Gods at full power could blow up a planet. True Gods had a damage level of about a dozen planets . Elder Gods, could destroy a Solar System at full power. The All Father level could cause Galaxy level destruction, the Cosmic Entity ( Primordial Gods) were universal level, while multiversals were .. well multiversal .

Ares had an angry look on his face. It was quite shameful for a tier 3 God like him who had trained fro hundreds of years to not be able to handle newborn Gods like them.

" Well it all ends now!!!" With a growl, his body suddenly appeared before Athena and his huge war hammer smashed right into her, sending her flying through multiple mountains, while spitting blood.

Just as she about to land, countless swords manifested, before ruthlessly piercing her body,though she managed to get her shield up in time.

Just as Ares was distracted, a fist suddenly smashed into his face, sending him flying meters away.

Seeing how badly injured Athena was, Adonis went crazy. Throwing punches to all parts of Ares' body, not giving him a chance to rest.

" Enough!!!" With a growl, Ares caught his fist, before retaliating with a punch of his,which sent Adonis flying while spitting blood. He had not recovered, before Ares appeared before him, grabbed him by the head and smashed him into the ground, face first.

" You dare to touch me ?!!!" " Bang!!Bang!Bang!!" With an angry roar, Ares suddenly unleashed countless power packed punches all over Adonis' body which sent deep tremors into the earth. The ground ruptured, while massive waves erupted.

" Brother no!!!" Athena rushed out with a sword in hand, only to be intercepted by Ares who grabbed her by the throat and smashed her into the ground.

" Fuck!!! " Adonis' sight was hazy, but seeing Ares hurt Athena, he raged, anger clouded his mind. Despite his injuries, he rushed out, grabbed Ares by hair and punched him with all the remaining strength in his body.

" You again!!!" Ares who was thrown several meters away raged.

" Spear of divine annihilation!!" He raised his hand , and soon, huge amounts of divine energy coalesced into a long spear covered with pure destructive energy. Soon he spear rushed out, bringing destruction wherever it passed.

Seeing the spear coming at him, Adonis turned his back to Athena and lightly smiled.

" Bang!!! The spear pierced through his body, destroying his inner organs. A huge hole was torn around his torso area.

" Bang!" He knelt to the ground as his golden blood pooled around him.

" Brother no!!!!" Athena cried out, as she rushed out to him. His ruby eyes dulled as his head lowered. He was gone.

Memories flashed in his mind, as he suddenly felt a beckoning within his body.

" If you love your brother so much, why don't you join him!" " Divine spear of annihilation!!" Another spear formed in Ares' hand, this time aimed at Athena.

" Haargghh!!" With a growl, he threw it with all of his strength as it pierced towards her with increasing gleam.

Athena only hugged Adonis' body close, without even looking back once.

Whoosh!!" The spear pierced through the air, however just as it was about to pierce Athena's body, massive amounts of silvery white divine energy burst out of Adonis' body like a flood.
