Chapter 18

Trevor Anthony & Rose

Sunlight Town

Location: The Comic Book Store

June, 29th, 2025

The Jeep comes to a stop in front of the comic book store. Rose opens her door and steps out, Trevor and Anthony do the same. "We're here." Rose said "We know." Trevor and Anthony say. Anthony swings the door of the store open, and they all shuffle inside, then climb into the underground base. Anthony sits down in a chair. "Maybe we should consider reinforcing the fort, since more people like the Ferals could be lurking around the area here" Anthony says, stroking his chin. "I think we have already got that covered." Rose says. "How?" Anthony replies. "It's Trevor, obviously." Said Rose. "What?" Trevor said. Anthony and Trevor look at each other. "What are you talking about Rose?" They say. "Don't you remember what I said back there Anthony, at the gas station." Rose said, rolling her eyes. Anthony lifts a thumb up. "Yeah, I remember why" Anthony replies. Trevor steps in. "So, aren't you gonna tell me why?" Trevor asks. "Well, I said that I didn't understand how the hell you were able to not cry from a limb being cut off, and also how you're so good at fighting." Rose said "Oh." Trevor replies. Anthony looks over to Rose. "well- I'm pretty good at fighting too, but- y'know" Anthony says, bluffing. Trevor chuckles. "You wish," He says. Anthony grabs his headphones off of a table and puts them on, clicking the "power on" button. "We could use some additional stuff though," Rose says. Anthony lifts his head up. "So gadgets for the base, got it." Anthony says, putting on some gear. "I will go out for some materials soon. For now, I'll make some prototypes." Anthony says. "What do I do?" Trevor said. "Oh uh, watch out for ferals. I guess." Anthony replies. Trevor nods, and climbs out of the underground base. Anthony looks at his phone, and checks the time. "Alright, I'm going to get materials for the gadgets we're going to build. I'll be back in approximately an hour and 30 minutes." Anthony says, climbing out of the hole. "Bye!" Rose says, waving her hand. Anthony waves back, then walking out of the store. Trevor then decides to change up a bit, he takes off his gray hoodie and puts on some old brown leather jacket, then grabbing a satchel they found inside the old car. He attaches a flashlight to the left of his chest and puts on some fingerless gloves. Also then grabbing shin guards, kneepads and elbow pads. Then also attaching some gadgets, like three cherry bombs on his right hip. A backup knife, on his left hip. Then attaching a lighter on the left of his stomach, for the cherry bombs, of course. Rose already left, so he had to get a few more things, then leave. He grabs a pocket knife that he never used, for things, just, things, maybe for some stabbing. Trevor then walks out, putting his bandana and backpack on.
