(Alexandria's POV)

Side note never ever reveal your alien secret to a vampire by flying up in subsonic speeds.

Especially if you have super hearing.

Since they will scream.

And they will scream loudly.

Thankfully she stopped screaming once she noticed that we weren't in any danger and just looked at me in surprise, and confusion.

Seeing the house right in front of me I began my descent towards the house.

I set Edythe down slowly and began walking towards the front door.

"I'll explain everything later right now we just need to get back to my house, Ma- Mom must be beside herself," I said quickly looking behind my back towards Edythe.

Edythe still looking mighty confused just nodded before following behind me.

I was just about to open the front door before the door was opened from the other side with such force that it bounced off on the other wall and ricocheted back towards us.

Catching Martha once she jumped on me to pull me in a hug, I stopped the door with my leg before it could hit us, and hugged Martha back.

"It's okay Ma, I'm fine," I said rubbing Martha's back in slow circles to calm her down.

"I thought I lost you"

Martha sobbed a little in my shoulder, me noticing the sudden dampness on my shoulder I hugged her back even tighter.

"Ohh Ma, I'm not going anywhere. Those bastards won't even be able to touch me." I said speaking truthfully, but also trying to calm Martha down.

Martha separated from our embrace before yelling at me.

"Language! I taught you better than that!" She yelled in a motherly voice.

Catching Edythe in the corner of my eyes I saw that while she still looked confused she was smiling a little at our interaction.

"Let's go inside Ma, we need to talk." I said, before motioning my head towards Edythe.

Martha now realizing that we had company adopted a serious face before motioning us inside.

Once we were inside I led Martha and Edythe towards the living room, where Martha led Edythe into a seat, before taking her own, not before asking her if she wanted anything to drink, the answer was of course a no.

As for me, I went to get the remote control for the tv, before turning it on, immediately noticing that literally every single channel, even those not in any way related to the news were broadcasting live footage of the black zero ship using satellites to capture their images from space.

I went to sit on a chair facing both Edythe and Martha, noticing that Edythe's attention was immediately placed on the tv before her eyes widened in surprise and finally understanding before she looked at me and said.

"So you're an Alien"

That wasn't a question but more of a statement.

Nodding I waited for her to say anything, which she did by asking.

"You're going there aren't you?" She accused.

I nodded again not denying her accusation.

At that Martha looked to be in despair, but before she could voice her opposition. Edythe interrupted.

"Take me with you," She said with the upmost confidence.

"No" I answered immediately

"Is it because you think that I'm Human? I'm n-"

She started before I interrupted her

"I know"

Edythe looked at me with widened eyes before stuttering.

"Y- You Know?"

"I knew from the moment I laid eyes on you that you weren't human, plus my powers helped, I could see that your heart wasn't beating, nor could I hear it, plus I could see that your skin was actually marble-like," I said stating a reason, other than that I knew about them from a fictional book.

"Then why?"

Sighing I answered

"Because you're not strong enough"

Edythe looked at me like she was about to deny that statement before the tv caught everyone's attention.

On the tv screen, it showed hundreds of missiles being launched straight towards the black zero ships from all over the world.

"Those idiots!" I said once I saw what was happening.

I got up from where I was sitting and immediately twisted my ring, changing into my suit in nanoseconds.

Once I was in my suit I was about to head out before I was hugged from behind.

"You come back to me!" A muffled voice said pressed against my back, her head firmly placed on my cape.

Turning around I hugged Edythe, before taking her chin onto my right hand and raising it upwards, before leaning in and kissing her.

The kiss as I intended started chastely before Edythe surprised me by placing her arms around my neck and pulling me towards her deepening our kiss.

Separating after a while, Edythe moaning in disappointment.

"I will. We still have a date to go to remember?"

Having said that I placed one more chaste kiss on Edythe's lips, and made my way towards Martha, noticing her tears.

I may not see her as my mother, but it would be too cruel of me to treat her as a stranger.

After all to her, I'm still the same Alexandria Kent she raised.

"I'll come back don't worry"

Not having the strength to say anything Martha just nodded tears still falling.

I nodded one last time towards them, noticing Edythe's eyes tearing up, small droplets of a clear liquid begging to fall, nevertheless they don't as I took a deep breath before heading out of the house and flying out towards New York.

"Well, Zod you chose to fuck with the wrong motherfucker today"

After all, you don't fuck with a god.
