The Yeans

In Nana's hand was a single rose, that of a white dahlia, "What do you mean no soul?" She placed the white dahlia into her pocket.

Ignotus' expression was concerned, "In the countless years I've been in this world, I've never met someone as spectacular as you. Nana, you have no soul." Ignotus backed up a little. "You're not human, you're a Dicere."

"What hell is a Dicere?" Nana remembered the fight she had during the eclipse against Vear where she first heard the word Dicere.

"A Dicere is a creature made of pure wretched energy, not from this realm of existence. God's only flaw." Ignotus explained, "Though, even a Dicere can't explain your situation. The book chose you because you're different. The book doesn't choose a prophet because it feels like it, it chooses someone because it feels like that someone has a duty to fulfill. I may be the book's familiar but I do not know its many secrets, it has something planned for you, and I'm not sure what."

The water had now risen to their chests. Nana looked down, and saw that was no longer stepping on a floor, she was floating in an ocean. "Uh, Ignotus?" Nana called out as she looked up, towards where Ignotus was, but she was no longer there.

The water now was at her chin, she was completely floating. Suddenly, chains appeared from beneath ber and wrapped around her arms and legs, limiting her movement. The water started rising quickly, completely submerging her in matter of seconds. The water had now completely filled the cave. Nana's screams for help were muted by the water, bubbles rising from her mouth. Everything was quiet, all she could feel was the cold water that was surrounding her and the chains wrapped around her limbs. The white dahlia she had placed into her pocket came out, floating in the water, orbiting Nana. "Ignotus!" Nana screamed, the water still muffling her voice. The white dahlia was starting to disintegrate, its petals breaking off, leaving only a stem. The water quickly rushing in to fill her lungs, she was now drowning. Nana's final cry of pain fell on deaf ears.

"Nana! Nana!" Lin shook Nana's body, she was now in the classroom, right after the eclipsing had happened. "Thank god you're fine, I thought you died." Lin had a smile, tears trickling down his cheeks, "C'mon, we better get leaving, there's a rescue team." Smoke filled the room. Nana held Lin's hand and got up. She looked at her arm and there was a mark on her arms, exactly where the chain was. Nana, slowly approached the shattered windows, this time there was no one outside, not even the eclipse, Vear was nowhere to be seen. It's as if the timeline had been altered. She was perfectly fine, not a single scratch, Lin was fine too, he was still alive.

"It seems the cause of the explosion was due to a gas leak, not too sure." Lin looked out the window along with Nana. "We should hurry, the schools on fire, I stayed back here with you so I could make sure you're safe." Lin reached out for Nana's hand, though Nana was hesitant to hold his hands, "What's wrong?" Lin was concerned.

"Oh nothing, I just had a bad dream." Nana was remembering the vision she had in the flower field.

-----Scene 2-----

As Lin climbed down the flight of stairs while holding Nana's hand, the room was slowly filling up with smoke. Lin started coughing as he covered his mouth with his shirt. "Let there be light!" Lin chanted. Fhil appeared and started to blow the smoke away by blowing, "Very efficient Fhil." Lin said sarcastically.

Nana reached into her pocket and tried to find the flower, but it wasn't there. She reached into her school uniforms robes pocket and felt that the book was still there. "Ignotus?" She whispered quietly.

"Huh? What'd you say?" Lin turned around to face Nana.

"Oh nothing, anyway, we're here now." Nana opened the door and there were a group of firemen infront of the school, putting out the fires.

"You've got to help! The students are still trapped inside the building! We've only managed to save 7 so far, but there's still atleast 20 others that are still trapped in the burning building!" The fire men signalled the others to go into the room.

That was the premonition Nana had.

"The tower above the gas room had completely collapse, thank god our class was far away from the room." Lin explained, "They're using water orbs to put out the fire quickly. We should probably start helping them."

A fireman approached Lin and Nana. "Are you guys okay? Which wing are you guys from?" The fire man asked.

"We're from the B wing, most of the students and teachers have evacuated from the B wing." Lin told the fireman.

"Oh great, we need volunteers right now, the D wing's tower has collapsed and there's 27 confirmed persons in the tower, currently there are still 20 people inside. We require any help from volunteers." The fire man explained.

"Great, we'll help look through the rubble, you'll help won't you, Nana?" Lin looked at Nana.

"Yeah." Nana stared at Lin's face, remembering how she had just seen him died less than an hour ago.

"We better get going, we're on limited time." Lin grabbed a vest and put it on and handed one to Nana.

They both walked towards the debris and saw another student helping to move debris.

"You're helping out too?" Nana asked the student.

"Yeah, my brothers still trapped, I need to help him." The student replied while still moving the debris, "The names Jasper, Jasper Yean."

"You're a Yean?" Nana was shocked.

"Yeah, well barely one. I'm a reject of the family." Jasper didn't make eye contact with Nana, he just continued digging through the rubble, "Its hard you know, the media portrays us as god-like beings but we're constantly followed by a paparazzis and interviewed everywhere we go."

"Then why'd you tell me?" Nana was also helping move the debris.

"Cause I can sense that you're a trustworthy person." Jasper finally made eye contact with Nana, "And you're pretty good looking."

Nana was not amused.

"Nevermind." Jasper continued digging through the rubble until he eventually heard a voice, "There's someone here." Jasper tried to move the rubble but he wasn't able to move it. Nana stood infront of Jasper and punched the block of stone with her magic imbued fist, cracking it. "You're not too bad."

"Help! There's another person here trapped!" A teacher called out.

"Don't worry madam, help is coming soon." Jasper comforted the teacher.

Nana looked around and saw the firemen carrying injured students out of the rubble, some with a few scratches, some with a missing limb and some in body bags. An absolute catastrophe.

"Jasper?" An older voice called out from behind the teacher.

"Felix!" Jasper called out.

"Get the teacher out, she was a injury on her leg and can't walk." Felix said.

Nana pulled the teacher out and brought them to the paramedics.

"Wait for me! I'm coming in!" Jasper said into the debris.

"Don't come in! The gas is still leaking from the room below! The room will explode any minute! Get all the survivors and leave!" Felix said.

"But, you have to get out!" Jasper tried climbing in.

"Don't." Felix said, "You'll just get yourself killed. Please, leave. My legs are caught on a large rock, I can't leave anyway." Felix had a bittersweet smile on his face. Jasper smiled back, bitterly.

"Let's go Nana." Jasper said, with his head held down.
