"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?" Ignotus screamed she narrowly avoided the punch by Nana.

"You said you wanted a punch, so I gave you one." Nana's hand was steaming, her blood flow had rapidly increased to keep up with the new found power she had imbued onto her fist. Ignotus hadn't seen such raw power in forever, though this alone wasn't enough to make Nana worthy of being a prophet. "This time I won't miss!" Nana winded her fist back again, ready to punch. As she tried to imbue magic into her fist, nothing happened.

"For a second I thought you weren't human.' Ignotus sighed a sigh of relief, "You see, you humans have a limit as to how much magic you can use. For example, that punch you just did? Drained all of your magic, but for me, I have no theoretical magic potential, well because I'm not a living thing." Ignotus, evaporated into dust, leaving a dark gooey substance on Nana's hand. It crawled up her arm and onto her shoulder, "You see, I'm not a living thing, I'm just a creation of the book." The black substance whispered into her ear, "The book is very special, it was once the grimoire of a great wizard." The black substance jumped off of Nana's shoulder, into the water. "So, in extention, that just makes me a familiar of that wizard." The water started taking the form of a humanoid figure of a man. The black gooey substance entered the water humanoid figure, coursing through the water like blood through veins. Slowly, the water started solidifying into a clay like substance, still wet. In an instant, the once clay figure started to move, drying instantly and forming the real body of Ignotus.

"This, is you?" Nana asked confusingly.

"Yes, yes, I'm not you, well I am, but this is my physical true body." Ignotus' body was that of a young man, he was physically well built and quite tall, he had short spiky hair. "But I prefer this form better." Ignotus snapped his fingers and disappeared. "Behind you!" Ignotus waved at Nana, now taking the form of Nana.

"What are you? Some magical shape shifting creature?" Nana asked.

"Well kind of." Ignotus folded her arms.

"Well where the hell am I? I magically appeared here after getting killed." Nana pointed at Ignotus, "You're behind this aren't you?"

"Woah, don't go accusing people. I'm as confused as you are. I'm just here to serve as a mentor for you, considering how hopeless you are magically." Ignotus joked, "Hey, why don't we play a game? For each time you tag me, I'll answer a question!" Ignotus raised a finger, "I'll give you a 1 second head start."

Nana was confused but she charged towards Ignotus without a second thought. As Nana reached her hand out for Ignotus, she suddenly disappeared. "Mmm... Bad form, try walking on the water next time." Ignotus said as she stood atop Nana, "Too slow, the waters slowing you down."

"Well, I'm not Jesus, I can't walk on water." Nana joked as she raised her leg to kick Ignotus who was standing ontop of her head. "Got you!" Nana hit Ignotus in the ankle, sending her falling face first into the water.

"blueh...bla...blurh..." Bubbles rose from Ignotus' mouth in the water. She pulled herself out of the water, "Okay fine, one question and I'll answer it."

"Where am I?" Nana asked.

"You are currently in the never ending plain between life and death. A limbo, if you will." Ignotus explained nonchalantly.

"What the hell does that mean? That makes no sense, am I dead or am I not?" Nana was even more confused than she was before. "I've just watched people I love die and then me die, twice! I'm pretty sure I'm dead."

"If you want me to answer that, then you'll have to tag me!" Ignotus pulled a face, sticking her tongue out towards Nana.

Nana jumped towards Ignotus, now taking the form of a little fairy. "This is not fair, you can use magic, I can't" Nana was starting to get irritated.

"Well, why don't you try to use magic? It's not that hard, come on. Just whatever you're trying to do, put a little umph onto it." Ignotus explained as she was dodging Nana's attempts at catching her. "Hey, isn't this a great opportunity to learn magic?" Ignotus halted, "Why don't we have a proper fight?" Ignotus explained, "You know this, but, when a person reaches their theoretically maximum magic potential, they're capable of unlocking their own personal abilities. You have one right?"

Nana stood there, menacingly, staring at Ignotus. Her eyes covered by her bangs. "What." Nana was dumbfounded.

"You don't know about career techniques?" Ignotus too was dumbfounded, "You've lived on this earth for 18 years and never knew what a career technique was?" Ignotus glared at Nana, "You do not deserve to be called a prophet." Ignotus reached his hand out, "Watch." Ignotus lit a fire ball above his hand, "This, this is called a primary skill." Ignotus waved the ball around his body, "Anyone with any magic capabilities could do this, though I doubt you could."

Nana was offended, "Hey! I could do it." Nana reached her hand out. She tried to imbue magic into her hand and make a fire ball but all there was were sparks, "Trust me, just give me a bit of time" Nana started aggressively grunting to form the fire ball, her veins popping out of her hands.

"My point exactly." Ignotus slyly joked, "Anyway," Ignotus continued, "You see, I'm not a human. I'm a familiar thus the normal rules of magic don't apply to me. I don't have a career technique, so I can't really show you one. Come here." Ignotus gestured Nana to come close to her.

Nana approached Ignotus as she placed her hand on Nana's head. "I'm not an animal, this isn't a zoo exhibit."

Ignotus closed her eyes and started mumbling words that didn't sound like English, a different language. Her eyes went black. The water around Nana started to shake, the walls of the cave started to shake and so did the ceiling.

"Nana, I love you too." Lin said with a bittersweet smile on his face. Nana was stood in a flower field, the wind blowing in her hair, the flowers blooming. The sun casting a shadow on them as Lin placed his hands on Nana's tear-soaked cheeks, "And I always had."

Nana woke up, now back in the cave, the water now had risen to her waist. Ignotus stood infront of her, frightened, "What are you?" She had a concerned look at her face, "You don't have a soul."
