Chapter 9: Occult Research Club

-with Lucias-

"I should go back to school but... they still haven't arrived yet"

Lucias muttered as he stared at the 2 unconscious girls at the sofa while the succubus from before took care of them with a worried expression on her face.

"Don't worry, I only knocked them out to calm both of them down... You 3 can stay at my house in the meantime while we clean up this city"

Lucias says as he patted her head with a gentle smile on his face before walking towards an empty spot inside the room.

"Should I summon a servant to protect the 3 of them?"

Lucias muttered before opening his status window and selecting the summoning section that he hasn't touched for 7 years.

"Let's see who will I get"

Lucias muttered before selecting the summon button causing a large magic circle to appeared on the cold ground of the room as brilliant light came out of the magic circle, blinding Maria who immediately averted her eyes from the light.

Slowly the light dissipated revealing a lean tanned man with gray hair wearing a black tight and sleeveless shirt with sliver accents which outlined his muscles and a metal plate on his collar, and black pants that had two black straps on his thighs, and another two strapped around his shins separate from each other. 

"Are you my master?"

"Finally, I'm back"

Lucias sighed as he stretched out his hand as he walked out of the infirmary of the school back to his classroom.

"... Emiya, I'm counting on you"

Lucias muttered while observing the new command seal on his arm with serious expression on his face.

"I'll give you my memories after I get back from school"

He said as he entered the noisy classroom, causing Asia to turn her head towards him before sighing in relief that his safe.

"Did something happen while I was gone, Asia?"

Lucias asked as he looked towards the front of the classroom before gazing at Issei who was grinning at his desk.

"Hehehe~ a date"

"The teacher let us study by ourselves since he got a severe headache that's why no one is currently teaching us"

Asia smiled at him before walking closer to him, moving her face closer to his ears as she hugged him in front of all of their classmates.

"... Issei's girl friend visited the classroom 1 hour ago... and she's the same fallen angel who attacked us 9 years ago"

Asia whispered close to his ear while occasionally glancing at Issei's direction, ignoring the shrieks and cries of the students around them.

"... What are they doing in Kuoh?"

Lucias asked with a serious expression on his face as he gazed at Issei who has a creepy grin on his face.

"Nia is currently investigating her purpose for coming here but... I think it's related to Issei-san"

"... When is there date, again?"

"Tomorrow"

Asia answered in a quiet voice before separating herself from Lucias with a sweet smile on her face.

"... Asia, do you want to go on a date tomorrow with me?"

"Eh?"

Asia muttered in shock as she stared at Lucias with a dumbfounded expression on her face.

"Huh!?"

The girls all shouted in shock as they stood up from their seats intensely staring at their direction.

"Can we go on a date tomorrow Asia?"

"Y-Yes"

She shyly answered while fidgeting her body with a deep crimson hue on her cheeks as she averted her eyes from Lucias.

"... How about us, Lucias?"

Momo grabbed his shoulder with a light smile on her face as the other girls stared at him with expectant eyes.

"... Let's go together"

Timeskip

"Can I have some of your time?"

A handsome blond haired man asked as he stood in front of their classroom door with a light smile on his face, as the girls in the background screamed in excitement from seeing both of their prince together.

"My time is quiet expensive, can you afford it, Kiba Yuuto?"

Lucias smiled at him while leaning against the his desk in a casual manner.

"..."

Kiba's mouth twitched as he looked down on the lean young man, staring at him with his golden colored eyes.

"... We can discuss it in the clubroom Kaichou wants to meet you for a few minutes, Lucias-san"

"Sure"

Lucias answered without a change in his expression before following Kiba out of the classroom.

"You girls can go and eat lunch without me, I'll try to follow you girls as soon as I'm done talking with them"

Lucias whispered close to Asia's ear as he passed her before leaving the classroom together with Kiba.

[This young man holds some hostility towards you, Lucias... Should I get rid of him?]

Est said in a quiet voice inside his mind as the mark on his right hand begun to light shine from his glove.

'It's alright, they're pretty weak anyway so I can handle them on my own'

Lucias gripped his right arm to hide the light inside his gloves, stopping her from doing any reckless actions towards the hostile young man in front of him.

[Hmm... They seem suspicious of you, Lucias. Is it because of the incident yesterday?]

Restia asked as she float around inside his conciousness together with Est.

"It looks like Lilia forgot to remove the Gremory's memories of the events yesterday..."

[It looks like she did it on purpose though?]

[Mn]

"... If it's to serve as a warning for them... then I doubt she will listen, so her efforts of doing this is futile"

Lucias whispered to the two ancient spirits inside his conciousness as both of them entered the occult research club building.

"We're here"

Kiba reported before knocking the door of the room, leading to the lobby where the other members of the occult research club are staying.

"Welcome, Lucias Frey"

Rias who was sitting down on her desk with her legs crossed greeted with a beautiful smile on her face while Lucias smiled back, unfazed by her beauty as he sat down on the sofa next to a short white haired girl, eating a bar of chocolate, ignoring his arrival.

"I'm honoured to be invited by you, Senpai"

Lucias said with an unnoticeable disdainful tone, looking at the woman in front of her with a fake smile on his face.

"We're happy to have you here, Lucias"

She smiled not noticing the disdain in his voice as Akeno placed a cup of tea on the table in front of him.

"Thank you"

"You're welcome"

She brightly smiled before walking behind Rias with the tray in her hand.

"I wonder why you invited me here... Rias Gremory?"

Lucias asked as he took a sip from the tea given to him by Akeno.

"... Who are you?"

Rias asked with a suspicious expression on her face as she stared at the young man sitting down on the sofa comfortably.

"I think you already know my name, Senpai"

"Stop playing dumb, I know you're not a normal human"

Rias said as she tapped her desk with her fingers, waiting for his next words.

"It took you long enough to notice"

Lucias smiled at her before placing the tea cup on the table causing the other members to adapt a serious expression on their faces.

"So what do you want, Rias Gremory? There's a lot of devils entering this school so... I wonder why you specifically took notice of me?"

Lucias asked with a slight grin on his face, looking at them with his golden eyes.

"I want you to join my peerage"

Rias straightforwardly said with a proud grin on her face, causing Restia to laugh inside his mind as he on the other hand never removed the smile on his face as he stared at the spoiled princess in front of him.

"I don't think you're puny strength and magic will be able to contain me, Rias Gremory"

Lucias said a calm voice causing all of the people inside the room to frown from his words.

"What are you trying to say, Lucias Frey?"

Rias angrily questioned, crossing her arms on her chest while looking at him with a large frown on her face.

"... I said... you're still far too weak to say those words to me, Rias Gremory"

Lucias said as he rephrased his words for her to understand causing Kiba to point his sword directly at his neck using his sacred gear, angrily glaring at his direction.

"Apologise"

Kiba demanded while tightly gripping the handle of his sword with his two hands with a frown on his handsome face.

"... Watch where you point your sword, Kiba Yuuto"

Lucias calmly warned before grabbing his sword at its blade with his bare hands, shattering it into two with his raw strength.

"WHAT!?"

Kiba shouted in shock as he tried to create another sword in his hands but was stopped by Lucias who pointed his true demonic sword at his neck.

"What a dull sword you have, Kiba Yuuto"

Lucias muttered in disappointment from how lacking he was in technique, relying only on his sword and speed to attack him.

"You're potential is good, but... you're placing it in the wrong direction, Kiba"

Lucias muttered before tilting his body to dodge the straight punch thrown by the Nekoshou behind him with all of her strength, placing Kiba in front of her fist, causing him to crash on the wooden wall of the room.

"You're too slow"

Lucias smiled at her sister-in-law before grabbing her by her uniform to lift her up on the ground as she tried to hit him with her small fist.

"LET GO OF HER!!"

Rias and Akeno shouted at the same time before firing both lightning and the power of destruction at his location in full power.

Lucias who was their attacks injected mana into his voice before using [Reality Manipulation] against their attacks.

"[Disperse]"

He muttered causing the two powerful spells to disintegrate into thin air, shocking both of them as they unconciously stepped back in fear.

"Let's be civilized, Rias Gremory that's why [Sit down]"

Lucias ordered causing all of them to be teleported on top of the sofa on their clubroom.

"W-Who are you?"

Akeno nervously asked as she watched him sit down on the sofa next to Koneko who was angrily glaring at his direction.

"As I said before, you already know my name through my class record so there's no need to reintroduce myself"

Lucias plainly answered while lifting the tea cup close to his face to take a sip while reheating it with his flame magic.

'It's a good thing none of my subordinates isn't here or else... We might've declared a full frontal war with the devil faction'

Lucias thought with a serious expression on his face, even though his faction is powerful enough to destroy the entire underworld. He didn't want any pointless wars to take place in this dimension just because of a spoiled princess of the house of Gremory.

'And I still have this quest, so I can't dispose of them that easily'

Lucias sighed before opening the oldest quest written inside his list with a tired expression on his face.

[Quest: Ally with the 3 factions against the terrorists faction, Khaos Brigade.

Difficulty: EX

Reward: 100% Increase in all status, [The Bible] sacred gear.

Limit: 7 years

Failure: World's Destruction]

'It's a good thing, 'creator'. Extended the Limit to 15 years of else... I could've failed this quest a few years ago'

"I did good?"

'??? Yes, thank you 'creator''

"Oh..."

'... Her lack of response is really... new to me'

Lucias thought before staring at the red haired woman in front of him with a serious expression on his face.

"I will let this incident slide, Rias Gremory, but please remember..."

Lucias said as he placed the tea cup down on the table, staring at her direction without any expression visible on his face.

"... I don't want this incident to happen again or else... I'll personally wipe your clan out of the underworld"

Lucias said before standing up from the sofa to leave the clubroom but was stopped by the angry voice of Rias coming from behind him.

"Is that a threat?"

Rias asked in a deep and threatening tone as she stared at his back with a large frown on her face.

"No, it's a warning, Rias Gremory"

Lucias answered before continuing to walk out of the clubroom while waving his hand at the devils behind him.

"I'll visit your clubroom often to hangout, as an exchange for suddenly attacking out of nowhere so... take care of us, Rias Gremory"
