Chapter 10: A talk with the 'creator'

"... Can't the two of you calm down?"

Lucias said in a tired voice as soon as he arrived at their picnic spot, finding both Kuroka and Ravel fighting each other while everyone watched them in amusement.

"Lucias nya!"

Kuroka immediately jumped at him as soon she heard his voice before glaring at Ravel's direction with her tail vigorously wagging behind her back.

"What happened?"

Lucias asked as he sat down next to Bell who was silently eating her lunch, cutely looking at him with a shy expression on her face.

"Nothing serious, she's just asking for our permission to allow her to enter your harem, Lucias"

Momo answered with a elegant smile on her face while looking at his direction with darkened eyes.

"You're so popular, Lucias. To take the little sister of your friend"

"..."

Lucias stayed silent, knowing that if he explained himself, it will only make matters worst that it already is.

"... How many are we again in his harem?"

Lala asked while eating her lunch in front of everyone with a curious expression on her face.

"Hmm... 52 I guess"

Lucias spat out his drink from hearing such a large number of girls in his harem causing him to stare at them in shock as he didn't notice that he had that many fiancées.

Lucias said as the 'creator' suddenly cut off the connection between them, as the girls stared at him with an indescribable expression on their faces.

"... Why are you all staring at me like that?"

Lucias asked as Bell clung to his arm with a shy expression on her face.

"W-when are you planning to create a family with us?"

She shyly asked while glancing at his crotch with a bright red face.

"Create a family with them, Lucias Frey. I won't stop you anymore, it will be nice for Hanna to have younger siblings to play with"

'... Seriously... What happened, 'creator'?'

"I'll tell you everything... tonight"

The 'creator' answered as her voice disappeared from his mind, causing him to worry about her strange actions.

"Lucias?"

Bell asked as she looked up at him with her ruby eyes while the other girls waited for his answer.

'I think I'll keep my promise with the 'creator''

Lucias though as he prepared to answer them but was stopped by the emotionless voice inside his head.

"Promise me one more thing, Lucias"

'What is it so suddenly?'

Lucias asked confused about her sudden interference.

"Just tell me you promise to do what I say next"

'All right, I promise'

"Good, then... I want you to forget about out previous agreement and give Hanna a younger sibling... together with the girls"

"Nice job, mother!"

Void shouted in excitement before getting pulled by the other primordial beings into a corner and covering her mouth.

'creator... I don't thin-'

"Please, Lucias... I'm doing this not only for you but for myself... so please promise me"

'... I'll agree if you tell me what's wrong tonight'

"I will"

The 'creator' softly said inside his head causing him to sigh, worried about her sudden changes with a frown on his face, causing Bell to immediately remove her hug around him with trembling arms.

"I-I'm sorry, I-I shouldn't have asked... D-Don't hate me Lucias"

Bell quickly apologized as her body trembled in fear for the thought of being rejected by him, causing her to silently cry as she kneeled beside him, with a pained expression on her face.

"Eh?"

Lucias muttered while looking at Bell who was crying bell by his side in a panick before hugging her slender body in her embrace to try and calm her down.

"Don't cry, I was just remembering a bad memory from the past, it's not your fault"

Lucias comforted while caressing the back of her head with a frantic expression on his face.

"I-I'm sorry"

"Bell, if you like... I'll go to your room for tonight, so don't cry alright?"

Lucias whispered close to her ear while hugging her body, causing her to look up with puffy eyes as droplets of tears are at the corner of her eyes.

"Mmm..."

Bell nodded her head before hugging his body tightly in her embrace as she buried her face in his chest.

"It's a promise?"

Bell whispered in his embrace with a shy expression on her face while peeking at him from his chest.

"It's a promise"

Lucias smiled at her as he gave her a kiss on her forehead causing her to rub her face on her chest with a satisfied expression on her face.

'... It's hard to manage this harem... did I just get tricked into sleeping with her?... no, Bell isn't that kind of person'

"I'm glad you agreed, Lucias... That will be the night of my test..."

"Do your best, Mother!"

'... What the hell are they talking about?'

Lucias stood in front of an invite space drowned in pure darkness as he waited for a certain girl to come inside the space with an anxious expression on his face.

"Lucias..."

The ethereal voice of a familiar woman echoed behind him, but unlike before... her voice contained sadness... and anxiety as she trembled while walking closer to Lucias.

"'creator'? What's wrong?"

Lucias worriedly asked as he ran towards her as quickly as he can, holding her trembling shoulders with his hands.

"Please... don't leave me.."

She said in a shaky voice as she choked on her tears, causing Lucias to feel a sharp prick in his heart from seeing her like this. Unlike the proud woman that she met in the past.

"What are you saying? Of course I won't leave you"

Lucias hugged her trembling body in his embrace, worried as to why she became like this.

"P-please don't leave me... please, please"

She begged while clenching her fist in his chest as her tears drenched his shirt, causing his heart to clench from pain for seeing her cry this much. 

"I won't leave, I'm right here aren't I? Don't cry, 'creator'..."

He caressed her back, trying to calm her down with a panicked expression before wrapping his hands around her hips, kissing him on her lips to try and gain her attention.

"Look at me, 'creator', I'm right here, I won't leave you, alright?"

He lifted her head to look at her puffy and red eyes, tears running down her translucent cheeks as she tightly hugged his body, afraid of losing him once she lets go.

"L-Lucias... I'm sorry..."

She said in a quiet voice as fear and anxiety devoured her heart, fear from being rejected by him if she knew the truth.

"Why are you apologizing, you've done nothing wrong, 'creator'"

He said with a gentle smile on his face before kissing her forehead to calm her down.

"*hic*... L-Lucias... I'm sorry... I'm sorry for lying... I'm sorry for everything..."

She apologized, again and again as Lucias let her cry in his chest, until she calms down, looking at the sudden change in her with a worried expression on his face.

"Shh... Just let it all out... I won't leave no matter what..."

He coaxed as she tried to regain her breathing but her sadness took over her entire heart, crying at his chest as she felt her strength slowly leave her body.

"*Hic*"

"Mama..."

Hanna whispered in a quiet voice as she watched her mother cry in his father's embrace.

"Don't worry, Hanna, let's go and play"

Death said while patting her head but Hanna shakes her head in rejection as she stared at her parent's direction.

"Mama is hurt, I don't want to go"

She said before staring at her mother's direction with teary eyes, trying to endure her cries to not disturb her parents.

"*Hic*"

"... Have you calmed down?"

Lucias asked while caressing her long silky hair with care, like he was caring for the most valuable thing in his life.

"... Thank you, Lucias..."

The 'creator' whispered while hugging his body tightly, averting her eyes from his stare.

"What's wrong 'creator'? Why did you suddenly say that I'm leaving?"

Lucias asked before using his reality manipulation to summon a sofa behind her as he sat down while hugging his wife in his embrace.

"... Lucias, promise me... that you won't get angry..."

"Why would I get angry?"

"Please..."

The 'creator' pleaded as her heart slowly calmed itself down from the sudden burst of her emotions that she kept inside her for the entire day.

"I promise"

Lucias quickly answered with hesitation while patting her head with a light smile on his face.

"... I lied, Lucias..."

"Hmm?"

Lucias muttered in confusion as he stared at the 'creator'.

"I'm sorry... for threatening you... I was... selfish..."

She said as Lucias caressed her head, patiently letting her speak.

"... I lied... I don't have the power... to stop you anymore... I just... I was just selfish and wanted you for myself... I'm sorry"

"I'm sorry... That I stopped you from procreating with them because of my selfishness... I-I wanted to erase them from the picture in the past... I'm sorry for being selfish"

"I'm sorry... that I lied to you about my ability... I'm sorry... I wanted to keep your for myself... I'm sorry for threatening you with Hanna... I'm sorry for manipulating you"

"... I'm sorry... I promise I'll tell you everything... I won't lie to you anymore... Just please... give me another chance... I hope you'll forgive me, Lucias"

The 'creator' said while clenching her fist before staring at him directly in his eyes.

"Please... don't leave me... I-I'll do everything I can to change for you... just please..."

The 'creator' pleaded as she sat down beside him on the sofa, anxious about her response before seeing him frown his face, causing her heart to jump in anxiety and fear as she bit her lips while small drops of tears accumulated at the corner of her eyes.

"... 'creator'... is what you said... true?"

The 'creator' nodded her head, patiently waiting for his next words.

"... I see"

Lucias muttered causing the 'creator' to peak at his expression with anxiety, but froze when she saw the pained expression on his face.

"L-Lucias..."

She nervously called out with a trembling voice as her hand clenched his shirt out of anxiety.

"..."

Lucias stayed silent... staring at the trembling woman in his arms as several needles pricked his heart causing him to bit his lips before hugging her tightly in his embrace.

"... 'creator'... do you promise to keep your words?"

Lucias whispered with a shaky voice as he tried to contain the raw emotion rampaging inside him.

"Y-Yes, yes, d-do you forgive me... Lucias?"

The 'creator' hurriedly answered while shokihg on her tears as she tightly hugged his body, afraid that he'll suddenly disappear just like what happened before, afraid that he'll leave her because of his anger... For the first time in her life, she felt indescribable fear devouring her heart as she tightly gripped his body out of desperation.

"... I really can't win against my own emotions"

Lucias suddenly kissed her deeply on the lips, causing her to look at him surprise as a sense of... relief enter her heart while looking straight at his golden pupils.

"Fuck... I love you too much, 'creator'... That's it's killing me... I don't want to see you like this"

Lucias said as his tears ran down his cheeks before kissing her on her forehead with shaking lips.

"It hurts... I want to hate you... but I can't..."

Lucias tightly hugged her body as his own feeling for her and the past destruction's live and affection for his wife ran amok inside his heart, overpowering the pain that he felt from her lies.

"I-I'm sorry I'm sorry"

The 'creator' desperately apologized as her tears endlessly ran down her cheeks while burying her face on his chest, continuously repeating her apology like broken recorder.

"Don't leave me Lucias please don't leave me, I-I'll do everything just please stay with me"

The 'creator' desperately pleaded before Lucias pulled her body closer to kiss her soft and cold lips while hugging her waist, causing her to unconsciously wrap her arms around his neck while her tears drenched her cheeks.

"... I love you, 'creator'... The moment you gave birth to Hanna is the day I swore to myself that... I'll be the best father to our daughter... and the best husband for you... I'll forgive just this once but please... don't lie to me again, alright?"

Lucias whispered with a gentle smile on his face causing the 'creator' to vigorously nod her head in response, as her tears and anxiety slowly dissipated because of his words.

"I-I will, I will... Lucias, just don't leave me"

"... I won't ever leave you, 'creator'... You're one of the most valuable girls that I met in my life"

Lucias said before pulling her head closer to kiss her again as the primordial beings who were watching by the sides celebrated in joy from the successful attempts.

"Mama!!"

Hanna cried out as she ran towards her mother crying in her father embrace with small steps causing her to immediately ran towards her to carry her precious daughter with care.

"Shh... don't cry Hanna, Mommy's fine"

The 'creator' coaxed as Lucias hugged her from behind before giving her a kiss on her cheeks with a light smile on his face while gently staring at both his daughter and wife.

"I'll stay here for the night... to spend some time with my family"
