Realm of gods

"Night-slumber plant. Really an interesting plant!" Raizel made a mental note to look for such a plant in the future, it had piqued his interest greatly.

"Where are we going now?" Raizel asked the old man.

"To my house. I will educate you on the mortal realm and the 'Realm of gods'. After that, it is your choice where you wish to go. That will spell the end of my nurturing process."

As Raizel listened to the old man, he nodded his head to himself. He had expected such an outcome.

The journey continued for another hour, the two did not talk much during this period. Raizel did ask a few questions here and there but that was the extent of their conversation.

During this journey, he inquired about the details of what the "stage 1st" written on his information sheet represented.

The old man had given an in-depth explanation for this question.

He explained that, gods also had hierarchies. As spirit and physique of a god were enhanced to their limits, they would then evolve and become more powerful. The difference between stages of gods were extreme. It was not something which could be overcome with training alone.

From this, Raizel had understood quite a few things. The 'realm of gods' must have been ruled by very powerful gods, while the weak ones did small jobs like the old man before him. However, he did not dare say it out loud, afraid the old man would be offended. This theory was however not concrete, and Raizel had no way of knowing if it was entirely correct or not.

Soon the two arrived at the place where the old man lived.

It was in a very similar setting as Reichel's hut. The only differences were the absence of farms.

The house the old man lived in was extremely big, it was made from wood and a beautiful white concrete that appeared mesmerizing once looked at.

Raizel and the old man entered the house and the interior was far different from Reichel's hut. Instead of mystic items, there were all sorts of weapons hung on the walls.

"Wow." This was Raizel's expression the entire time he gazed upon the beautifully crafted weapons.

"This will be your room." The old man took Raizel to a secluded room and said.

Raizel without saying anything went into the room and keenly looked around.

He found a bed, a table, a chair and a cupboard inside. Aside from that, only a lantern was hung up on the ceiling that illuminated the room.

Without any complaints, Raizel closed the door behind him and checked out his room. He was curious to find out what things were kept inside.

However, to his disappointment, nothing was present, the cupboard and the table drawer were both empty.

A little dispirited, Raizel fell on the bed and closed his eyes. In just a few moments, he entered the dream-land.

...

The next day, the old man called Raizel.

As both gods had no need to eat food, they quickly got to work.

In a room full of books, the old man sat on a chair, opposite to him sat Raizel.

"So, I will teach you about the 'Realm of gods' myself. The knowledge about the mortal plane is too vast and diverse, all these books in my library will help you gain this knowledge. You will study that yourself." The old man who was dressed in his usual robes said to Raizel.

"I understand." Raizel nodded his head.

"Good, now let's begin." The old man leaned back into his chair as he made himself comfortable for the lecture he was about to deliver.

"The realm of the gods, this plane exists beyond space and time. All worlds in the cosmos are connected to it and can be accessed through it.

"This realm unlike a planet, stretches in all directions. The 'forge of creation' where gods are born and where we currently are is located in one corner of this divine realm.

"In contrast to the 'forge of creation' which is always dark, the outside realm is always filled with light and hope. However, its forests are also occupied by powerful divine beasts and is unsafe even for gods. It is right to say that the 'forge' is the safest place in the entire 'realm of gods'.

"The 'realm of gods' is a place which houses many powerful beings. Many gods, false gods, divine spirits and other creatures occupy it.

"At the top of the food chain are gods like you and me. False gods are below us and divine spirits below even them.

"Strength defines your status in this realm, if one is weak, you will not be respected. Even though there are very few gods in this realm, their strength is enough to assert their dominance over all other creatures living here."
