Domains

"Do you see it? Your true-self?"

As Raizel heard this question, a complicated expression took form on his handsome young face.

"What is this that I see?" He asked, now his tone a lot more confident.

"Hmm... That is your godhood revealing itself to you. All gods have their godhood revealed to them in different ways, I don't know how it is for you but, the essence of information will be the same." The old man explained.

Raizel nodded his head and said. "My name is Raizel."

"Raizel eh... I will remember it. You can address me as old man." The old man smiled as he said.

Raizel remained silent for a few seconds before asking.

"What is this place? Am I really a god? Are you one?"

The old man let out a chuckle. "Slowly young one, too many questions at once.

"This place is called the 'forge of creation'. This is the place where all gods are born. You are a newly born god. I am also a god, my job however is to guide newly born inexperienced gods. You can consider me as your caretaker of sorts."

Raizel listened to the words of the old man with piqued interest. At that moment, the old man was his only information source, now that he understood who this old man was, he felt a lot at ease. His tense muscles and nerves calmed down.

Seeing Raizel visibly relax, the old man's face displayed a warm smile that appeared genuine no matter how one looked at it.

"Are births of gods rare?" Raizel asked, he had heard the old man saying something regarding this matter and this had made him curious.

"Indeed, you are the first birth in the past 500 years." The old man answered patiently.

"What are domains?" Suddenly Raizel asked. This question stemmed from the knowledge from the pink sheet infront of him. As the old man had mentioned that the 'sheet' was related to godhood, he found the term 'domain' especially important.

"Hehe... Follow me." The old man let out a laugh as he slowly walked in a particular direction of the forest.

Raizel suddenly frowned. He hadn't received an answer but an order instead.

After some contemplation, Raizel decided to follow the god who called himself 'old man'. He was not afraid, he felt that if the other party wanted to harm him, he would have definitely been attacked already. To seek more answers, he had to follow this 'old man'.

The two slowly walked through the dark forest under the slight illumination of the fireflies and the lantern held by the old man.

The atmosphere was quiet. No one talked, the silence was extremely strong.

Suddenly, the old man decided to talk.

"You want to ask about the domain. Let me tell you something..." He paused and then continued. "Domains are very important for gods. Domains represent the very aspect that a god governs, in other words, it is fair to say that gods are the living incarnates of a particular domain.

"The authority a god wields comes from the domain they govern. Each god represents a unique domain. Two gods can not share the same domain. Do you understand?"

Raizel attentively listened to the old man and nodded his head. "How do I know my domain?"

While continuing to walk, the old man stroked his beard. "Long ago, gods had to wait for a long time before their domain revealed itself to them. They had to go through a lot of hardships during this period. Even I had to go though this tedious process. But now... things have changed a lot.

"You can get to know your domain and exercise its authority quite early."

As the old man explained, Raizel fell into a deep thought. After some time, he asked another question. "How is that? Are we going to awaken my domain?"

"Haha..." The old man laughed. "You are smart. We are indeed going to see what domain your represents.

"As for how... You will see soon enough."

Raizel did not say anything else. He called the 'sheet' again and tried to make sense of a few more things which he previously could not understand.

In just a couple of minutes, the two reached a huge plain, where no trees were present. This circular plain was present amidst the dark forest.

A two-storied, wide wooden hut stood in the middle of the plain, it was surrounded by a wooden fence that gave the entire hut a cozy feel to it.

Near the hut, there was a farm where a lot of glowing green plants was planted. Their mysterious glow around the hut along with the fireflies flying around made the scene especially beautiful to ones eyes.

"Haa..." As Raizel saw this scene, a gasp was drawn from him. This was something which left even him, a little dazed.
