Chapter 4 The past and The reason of Powers 1

While Jinah and Jinwoo was looking at Ryu encased inside the purple crystal. A portal suddenly opened and a giant woman with long white hair and wearing a purple dress. Her eyes we're glowing while looking down at Ryu. She smiles and said. "I found you,"

Jinah and Jinwoo was shock seeing the giant woman outside the atmosphere that can hold the whole earth.

Jinwoo didn't know if he can win a fight against the giant woman and thought. 'I just got my class and I'm not strong enough to fight this level of power.'

Suddenly the giant woman turned smaller and fall down in front of Ryu crystalized body.

"Hehe, Looks like it's taken a toll on my body by using that power." The little girl said and saw Jinah looking at her. "Ah! it's Mama!"

She ran while raising her arms into T post and jump into Jinah hugging her body.

Jinah who's body stiffened when she heard the little girl calling her Mom and asked. "Who is your Mom?"

"Hehehe, It's you!" The little girl said hugging Jinah and saw Jinwoo looking at her. "Uncle is alive too!" Her smiled froze and crutches down on her knees and said with a pout. "Not again! I start acting like a little girl curse that side effects!"

Jinwoo and Jinah looked at each other and immediately know that this little girl came from the future or from somewhere where.

"Say, who is your father?" Jinah asked excitedly.

"Papa? Ah! I remember now." The little girl said and glared at the crystalized body of Ryu and punch it without destroying the crystal and said. "I have some information for you before I lost my memory, Miss Jinah, I'm your daughter Han-Seol Ah, and the place I came from is already destroyed thanks to my Father fighting The Herrscher of the END only 16 people survived including me."

Jinah and Jinwoo got shocked from hearing the little girl words.

"Can you explain everything about your past?" Jinah asked getting curious.

"Um," The little girl nodded her head and said. "I can tell you everything, it's not a secret anyway but I would start explaining about the story of the past."

Jinwoo nod his head in agreement and waited for her to start her explanation.

"The Previous Era is the name with which current day humans refer to a high-tech civilization that once habited Earth, 50.000 years ago, and was defeated by the Honkai. It's from this Previous Era that a lot of current day knolowedge and weapons like the Divine Keys come from."

"The story we know about this advanced civilization starts after the first two eruptions, at Senba Academy in Nagazora with the meeting of four people: Kevin Kaslana, an easy going, athletic and popular transfer student, Mei, a quiet and studious-type girl, Ryu a full blood japanese that got adapted by a Korean family and he was popular because he can progress to anything. Jinah a woman who wants to be a Doctor and best friend of Mei that fell in love to Ryu during childhood days. Despite Kevin's popularity, who the academy's girl referred to as ''the Prince'', he had only eyes for Mei, who was the daughter of a renowned physicist specialized in electromagnetism, had zero interest in anything that weren't her studies and the well being of her best friend, for her goal was to become a great scientist herself. Kevin tried approaching her, being met with her indifference. But as time went on the girl began to soften, starting to spend more time together and talking about themselves. Kevin even asked Mei to let him follow her to Massachusetts University."

"And Ryu who can get along with any body was always getting popular to the girls, he got the nickname of "The King" Due to him the school always progressing every year. Jinah a well known beautiful girl that only focus of becoming a doctor due to her sickly mother that got affected by the Honkai Corruption. The two was always close and Ryu slowly becoming a pillar of support for Jinah."

"But those days soon met an abrupt end. The Third Impact took place and the city was swarmed by hordes of Honkai. It was at this moment that Mei and Jinah was approached by a man who identified himself as an agent of the Moth Who Chases The Flame, a UN Task Force created to fight the Honkai, and offered to protect the two of them. In fact, they considered them one of the greatest human minds after reading Mei thesis a paper on quantum mechanics and Jinah thesis about Genetics they published 6 months ago, and so they wanted them to join the organization. Refusing to let them go alone, Kevin and Ryu volunteered to join MOTH as a soldier."

"3 years had passed. Humanity defeated the 6th Herrscher the cruel war transformed Ryu and Kevin into a true soldier of fire Moth. Humanity had lost more than half of it's armed forces."

"But the Honkai was relentless and struck again while Humanity was still trying to recover from the previous eruption. The 7th Herrscher wielded fire. She was more destructive than those that came before."

"Within a week after the 7th Eruption, she single-handedly reduced the Australia to a burned hellscape. To fight the 7th Herrscher,Jinah and Mei proposed the project Soldier."

"Useful emperor-class Honkai Gene's and DNA were to be identified extracted, and inserted into Human subject, granting them superhuman powers and innate Honkai resistance. These Genetically engineered Human would be known as the MANTIS."

The 14th would wield powers far greater than the others. Humanity will be destroyed by the 14th. Humanity's only hope was to figure out a means using Herrscher power without using Dr.Jinah method."

"The 11th Herrscher of the Previous Era was the perfect counter to the technology of mankind. She has the unique ability of creating an Anti-Honkai field. This field renders all Honkai energy useless and drastically weakens other energy-based phenomena. It deactivates all Honkai powered weapons and kills MANTIS soldiers, as well as unmodified MOTH units, within minutes as their physiological processes collapse. The Herrscher herself was immune to the field."

"During the battle, Jinwoo fought the Herrscher despite his body getting destroyed and Hua used Fenghuang Down's 1st Power to distract the Herrscher while Kevin used the opportunity to kill the Herrscher with both his ice powers and the Judgement of Shamash. The collateral damage that created the sea of Crimson Ice killed many of their comrades including Jinwoo and while the others is badly injured."

"Only 14 of the MANTIS survived the battle. They would come to be known as the Flame Chasers afterwards. Despite the Herrscher being weaker in raw strength than her predecessors, 70% of humanity was gone, with the rest hiding in the last 3 cities on the planet. Thus, the battle against the 11th Herrscher was called the Tragedy of Binding."

"After the death of 11th Herrscher. Ryu awakened without any change except of his supernatural strength and durability, His understanding got boost to certain limit. But his memory can only hold a significant amount of information. But there's one thing that always noticeable about him, he's progressing without any limit. There's a time that he would lost his strength but gained it again and overcoming his weakness."

"7 years later after the Death of 11th Herrscher.The Oath of Judah, was created using the core of 11th."

"Ryu, Kosma and Griseo starts the project A.R.K a project to find other habitable places to live in using a spaceship sent out into space. While Ryu was doing the project A.R.K the 12th Herrscher was awakened."

"While humanity crafted the divine keys, the 12th herrscher finally made her appearance.

she was a young, human girl. although herrscher-level honkai readings were detected within her, she exhibited no powers. she's human in form and in thought. she gave no sign of malice or hatred. Her name is RIN, The 12th Herrscher."

"Having endured destruction wrought by 11 herrschers before her, humanity refused to take any chances. fearful of RIN potential powers, the final decision made was to keep her under surveillance at the base. dr. mei was tasked to identify the reasons behind herrscher-level powers within RIN."

Getting the news of RIN becoming The 12th Herrscher. RYU suggest to watch over RIN while doing the project ARK. but Dr.Mei refused this suggestion sending an Unkown Herrscher into the ARK ship was dangerous.

Knowing RYU stubbornness Dr.Mei cut of the signal of the ARK ship making it impossible to go back.

"RIN being the 12th Herrscher, she seemed to be a cheerful, happy, and nice girl. But after she got imprisoned by Fire Moth, she was incredibly desperate to see her sister SAKURA and her cousin RYU again. According to SAKURA and RYU, RIN hated to be alone and being imprisoned in the 33rd floor of the MOTH's underground base did not help this, as she grew more afraid and lonely with each passing day, Dr. Jinah suggest to give SAKURA a permission of visit to RIN but Dr. Mei refuse that suggestion knowing how close SAKURA with RIN she might escape with RIN."

"A group of MOTH soldiers disobeyed Dr. MEI's orders and killed RIN. As RIN was dying, she saw the soldiers cheering about her death."

"This made her incredibly angry and placed a seed of hatred in her heart. When her powers awoke, she became extremely vengeful and wrathful: she infected all of the soldiers, trapped all MOTH units in their base, the base kept an arsenal of 300 nuclear weapons to deal with a potential herrscher attack. RIN fired them all at the last 3 cities of the world.

these 3 cities were gone in an instant. nothing was left except for smoking craters. the 31022 people in the base became the only human survivors of this attack. RIN used the base systems to lockdown every single exit of the base and destroyed the remaining three cities of the Previous Era. However, Dr. MEI said the Herrscher behaved aberrantly in her final moments and SAKURA claimed that "[She] was with her... she was still [her] sis... till the very end..."

"But after she was sealed by MEI in the Black Box, RIN became numb to the flow of time and only hatred was left in her heart."

"Hearing the news about the death of SAKURA and RIN completely becoming the 12th Herrscher. RYU got angry at Dr. Mei and left the ARK ship without caring if he can survived in the Sea of Quanta. Although he fully understand the reason she lock her but still he know fully well that Mei is an Introvert and didn't understand how painful it is to get locked inside a room."
