Chapter 25

[Are you sure you wanna leave without saying goodbye to any of the people you got acquainted with during your stay.]

"Nah! Biding farewell to Kara at this moment will be a serious blow to her pride as an up-and-coming hero. In order for her to he room for growth, my existence must be Erased from the city as I'm the current hot topic of any news channel. As for Alex, I don't think she likes me much so the is no need for me to bid her farewell."

The A.I of the Speed Force system asked Nathaniel as he walked through the crowd as he headed towards the bus station where he intended to board a bus to the farmland where he first appeared.

["Sir, you are currently being monitored by a D.E.O. satellite."]

As Nathaniel waited upon the arrival of the next bus since he missed the previous one, Alexia notified him of being under surveillance by D.E.O. using a satellite to which he raised up his head and waved into the sky.

The next bus he was waiting for didn't take long to arrive and Nathan boarded it.

INHALE!... EXHALE!!

Getting down from the bus, Nathaniel inhaled a large amount of air and exhaled it before looking ahead at the vast field in front of him.

"Well then, let's get going. I have been keeping Alex waiting long enough. System, you are responsible for the dimensional breach when I reach the maximum speed for it."

[DING! Affirmative.]

ELECTRIC CRACKLES!!

Nathaniel got down into position after asserting himself and then calmed down his breathing before he began charging up his Speed Force energy causing his hair to stand on end as white lightning danced with them and then dashed off.

BOOM!!...SWOOSH!!

Nathaniel left behind a massive crater on the ground as he dashed off towards National City going at 7672.69 Mph or Mach 10. Nathaniel got to National City within minutes of running but he did not stop there and continued running through the city and soon he left National City behind and was on his way to Star City.

His body was at this point in time covered in his suit as his clothes had been burnt due to friction leaving him only his shorts.

Nathaniel's speed kept on increasing as he continued running while the people of D.E.O. had their mouths widely opened as they didn't expect him to have this kind of power.

"Now!!"

[DING! Already on it]

Nathan yelled out to the system after reaching maximum power to cross back to his home dimension and immediately as he did, a wormhole was torn in the space-time continuum and he ran through without looking back as he knew that he would be able to come back again now that he knows the coordinates of this earth.

Running through the Speed Force tunnel, Nathan experienced everything that normal speedsters experience when they go through it whether for time travel or dimension travel and that is, he saw his past, present, and future. He saw everything and the infinite timeline.

He saw so much in fact, his brain was overloaded with information and that also triggered his fragmented memories of his past life to start coming together again making him remember everything that he had forgotten but before he could keep any of those memories, some mysterious power scattered them again but he was still able to retain a fraction of them.

'So that's why I felt very familiar with Barry from the very most we were born and also how I was very comfortable around Kara, Alex, Felicity and the others, it's because I already knew them from back when I was alive.'

SWOOSH!!!

Nathan increased his speed as he continued running after sorting out the fraction of memories that he retained and he soon saw an exit of the Speed Force tunnel which he dashed for without any moment of delay.

[Central City - Iron Heights]

It is currently nighttime in Central City and people are preparing themselves to either have dinner or go to bed with empty stomachs while some are just having fun in clubs but something different is taking place on a road located a couple of kilometres away from Iron Heights.

A massive mass of green gas could be seen on the road trying to attack a man in a red suit but the man was always fast enough to dodge the gas before it could touch him.

The mass of gas is a man named Kyle Nimbus, nicknamed the Mist by Cisco Ramon. He was a former hitman of the Darbinyan crime family who was betrayed and testified against by the people he worked for and was then sent to die but during his execution, he was affected by the S.T.A.R. Labs particle accelerator. 

After Kyle was struck by the energy of the S.T.A.R. Labs particle accelerator explosion, this altered his DNA and supercharged his cells, augmenting his physiology based on whatever foreign substance he came in contact with at the exact moment he was exposed to the dark matter, which in this case would be poison gas used for federal execution making him able to transform himself into a deadly cloud of hydrogen cyanide mixed with a sedative used on him.

["Barry, stay away from him. You have used up the only antidote to secure your life."]

While the man in the red suit or Barry was dodging another attack from the gas, a female voice spoke out to him to keep his distance from the gas as it is very dangerous.

"Where are you going Flash, aren't you here to finish what the gas chamber couldn't!"

Kyle transformed his body back to his human form and then taunted Barry. He then shifted back to his gaseous form and expanded his mass, allowing him to produce the chemical his form is made of and not lose any of his own mass and then propelled himself at full force towards Barry.

SWOOSH!!

Barry seeing the seriousness of the situation sprinted away to some distance from the mass of gas leaving behind a trail of orange lightning.

He then stopped and waited for Kyle to return to his form since gas is the least stable form of matter, if Kyle moves too fast or is caught in the wind, the air currents can strain him and force him to return to his original form. 

Barry prepared himself to deliver the final blow to Kyle the moment he returned to his human state but Kyle's speed instead of reducing suddenly increased catching him off guard.

"Oh no!"

Barry panicked at this crucial moment and instead of running away, he stood still and was immediately engulfed in Kyle's gas but held his breath just in time to not inhale the toxic but as time went by he was slowly losing his breath.
