CHAPTER 4 – Characters along with some history 1.

At 7 am in Saitama, Area A, Block 2, where Higher-middle class families reside, in the courtyard of a house a young boy who looks of age around 17-18 years old with slightly long unkept shining Silver-white hair and bangs almost covering his shining blue gem-like beautiful eyes, handsome face without any blemish or mark along with sharp jawline, compact muscles with six pack abs, perfects cuts and slim body, with height reaching 6'1 foot was doing one hand handstand push-ups, when someone called him from inside the house.

"Haru, get ready for school. I am almost done with the breakfast." A gentle voice of a lady was heard from the window of the kitchen telling the boy to get ready.

"Yes, mom." Said the boy while now standing straight and looking at a transparent screen in front of him that cannot be seen by anyone else. Yes, it is Haru, our MC who is looking at his status screen.

[Time remaining before mana is introduced to the world: 02 h 31m 09s.]

'So, it's finally time for the zombie outbreak, right Sisty?' Haru asked his system, which he now calls Sisty because she sounded like a female. As she was going to be with him his whole journey, he started treating her as his own companion.

[Yes, Haru. When the countdown is over this world will be flooded with mana and people will start transforming/Awakening.]

Said Sisty in a monotonous voice without any emotion. As Haru started calling her Sisty, he also asked her to call him Haru rather than Master, after all, he also wanted her to think of him as her companion. When she started calling him Haru she also started to explain things more deeply so that Haru could understand them easily.

After seeing the changes Haru understood, that even if her voice remains monotonous it doesn't mean she does not like it, rather, the changes prove that she also has feelings, and she likes being treated as a companion rather than a tool.

When he came in he could see his father sitting on the dining table reading newspaper. When Haru's father saw Haru coming inside he put the newspaper down and said while looking at him.

"Good morning, Haru. Now, can you tell me why you didn't want me to go to work and stay home for today, even though you know that I am working on the new project given by the company?" Reiji said.

Reiji Naoto, Haru's father, works at a construction factory as an engineer, with a payment that can let a family of three people live their lives happily without any problems. He diligently works every day and is rarely seen taking a leave.

When his son suddenly asked him to take a leave for a day and rest, he didn't ask anything at that time as he knew that his son would not ask for something without any reason and that too when he knew his father was working on a new project. So, he took a leave for a day but when he saw his son he couldn't help but ask for the reason why he asked him to take a leave.

"Good morning, dad. And sorry, I can't tell you right now, but I will tell you everything when the time is right. Please trust me on this, Dad." Haru said with a serious face.

Haru had thought of telling his parents about his ability to travel worlds when his quest of this world was done, so, he didn't lie to his father, but now was not the time to tell them about any of this, as they would think of him as an idiot. When his father saw his eyes, he understood Haru wouldn't say anything more than that, he sighed and decided to trust his son.

"Alright but tell me everything when you think time is right." He said with a sigh. At which Haru nodded his head with a smile.

He had already told his father that he works as a bodyguard for the daughter Soichiro Takagi who was (different from the canon, Soichiro dies in a crossfire with gangsters) the leader of the right-wing nationalist group and he also informed his father that he participates in gangster hunt done by the right-wing group where they find and kill local gangster that has high crime record and also some big criminals if they are in the area.

At first, his father denied him but when he showed him his fighting abilities (Haru had been going around killing criminals, stealing their physical abilities, training all martial arts he remembers and also learning the way of swords. Now he can confidently claim that no one in this world would be able to defeat him in hand-to-hand combat or cold weapon fight) and told him that the gangsters killed are those who did heinous crimes such as rape, murder, organ trafficking, etc. his father reluctantly agreed.

As they were talking to each other they heard a voice and saw a beautiful woman who looked to be in her late 20s coming out of the kitchen with food in her hand.

"Ok~~, the breakfast is ready. Haru, go freshen up and then eat your breakfast or you're going to be late for school." Said Maria Titova, Haru's mother in a cheerful and gentle voice which caused both of them to smile.

She comes from a Russian family and came to Japan for studies as she was interested in the culture and environment here. During her stay, she fell in love with Reiji and eventually got married. Both Maria and Reiji had already lost their parents at that time, so they didn't face any kind of complicated family drama, and Maria happily lives as a housewife with her only family in this world.

"Yes, Mom," Haru said and went for a shower while feeling glad that he was born into this family, even though his family was not as rich as in his past life, this house had the warmth that could not be bought with money. It's not that he disliked his past family, his father and mother loved him, and he was their only child but still, as a business family everyone was busy with their own work, so they rarely spent their time together.

Even though it was hard, he moved on because he knew that he had died in that world, and no one knows if his parents would still be alive when he has the power to return to them, so, it's better to think of the present rather than the past.

When he came down from his room after getting ready and wearing the uniform of Fujimi Academy, he saw that his breakfast was kept in front of his seat with a note, he smiled and picked up the note.

(Haru POV)

Well, I have done all the preparations I can for my parents, I have stolen a small amount of luck from everyone I see every day and stored it in my body. Today I transferred a considerable amount of the luck to them, after all, luck also affects which ability a person can get.

For example, An Olympic racer can get an ability such as 'speed up' which is an E rank ability that increases the speed of the user by 5% for 30sec if his luck is bad, but if his luck is good then the same racer can get 'Thunder steps' which is an S rank ability that produces thunder from user body and lets the user move with +(100%-300%) speed for 10s and has a cooldown of 2min.

I know they will get the best ability they can get with that much luck, so I don't need to worry about them. I am also excited about what abilities I will get, after all, I kept luck for myself as well. Now my luck is U, which is undefinable by the world, after all the highest rank in this world is U.

After locking the door, I went out of my courtyard, and was about to move towards the bus stop, when I heard the door of the neighbouring house being opened, so, I smiled and waited for the neighbour to come out.

I can hear everything clearly after all I have not only stolen physical powers from thugs and criminals, but I have also stolen abilities from many animals. Such as night vision from Owl, echolocation from Bats along with their super hearing, strength from Elephant, defence from Rhinoceros, agility from cheetahs, stamina from Ostriches, wisdom from chimpanzees etc. all of this when I visited a zoo or some national parks. My stats are very high for the beginners but still far from the highest.

I didn't have to wait long, as I saw a tall (Japanese women's standard) buxom woman with ridiculous curves and her body was most pronounced by her humongous breasts. She has waist-length blonde hair that has several bangs coming down into her face, two bangs come at the side running all the way down that also frames her face and hazel eyes. Seeing her walking out I walked from behind her and called out. She is Shizuka Marikawa, a nurse in my school.

"Good morning, Shizuka." Hearing my voice, she was startled and almost fell but I held her waist and hugged her before that. I am always ready for moments like these when I am with her, as I know that this woman is the queen of clumsiness. She sighed in relief after knowing it was me and also that she hadn't fallen, but then she blushed realizing her position. Still, looked into my eyes while smiling gently.

"Good morning, Haru." She said in a sweet voice, but then her expression changed as if realizing something she hurriedly pushed me away from herself.

"That is not the way you should call a teacher, Haru-Kun." She reprimanded me while putting her hands on her waists, trying to look angry, but it only made her look cute. So, I thought of teasing her.

"Oh, sorry, I didn't realize you hate being called like that by me," I said while faking a sad expression. This caused her expression to break, and she started panicking.

"NO, No, I don't hate it Haru, I really like it, I didn't mean it that way, sorry-" she was going to continue explaining but then seeing me smile teasingly, she realized that she had been played again which made her annoyed.

"Don't tease your teacher!!!!!" she shouted and then turned her head away, showing her annoyance and waiting for me to say something.

"Alright, alright, I am sorry Shizuka-Sensei. Sorry for teasing you, please forgive me." I said in a fake sincere voice and as a result, she turned with a smile, even though she knew I was just acting. After all, I was also just teasing her.

"Good. Let's go and get a bus, or we will be late for school, come on." She said with a smile, held my hand and started moving towards the bus.

While sitting on the bus beside Shizuka, I started reminiscing about how I had met her. I was following a gang that goes around kidnapping lone women or girls they find. There I saw them trying to force themselves on Shizuka and saved her by killing them.

When I checked up on her, I saw her passed out. Well, that is a natural reaction for anyone, after all, she had seen murder and a lot of blood for the first time in front of her. So, I brought her to her house as I knew she was my neighbour and also a nurse in my school.

When she woke up, she started panicking when she saw me and told me to hide, as she would hide me from the police, and some other gibberish. So, I calmed her down gave her water and explained everything. When she heard that I was safe and nothing was going to happen, she sighed in relief and then started crying.

Then I had to calm her down again. Then after a while she pushed me on the bed and kissed me, I guess she was still scared and was searching for comfort. I, as a man couldn't push away such a beautiful woman, who was looking for comfort. So, I comforted her in many positions that whole night. We have been in an ambiguous relationship since then, and I have 'comforted' her many times even after that day.

As I was in my own monologue, we reached Fujimi High School.
