The dorm

Upon our arrival, we pushed open the door and entered the building. Our eyes were instantly drawn to a sophisticated young lady seated behind the desk. Her striking features - black hair, brown eyes, a single earring in her left ear, sunglasses, and a stylish leather jacket paired with black jeans - radiated an undeniable charm. She introduced herself as Charlotte and then queried who we were. With an expression of satisfaction etched across my face, I introduced ourselves, "I am Reo and this is Amelia."

After consulting a book, she fetched a key from beneath her desk and handed one to each of us. The keys, each marked with a number, signified our individual room numbers. She then clarified the building's layout, explaining that the girl's dorm was on the left, while the boy's dorm was located on the right.

After we received our room keys, I requested 'Travelers Papers' from Charlotte. 'Travelers Papers' were necessary documents provided to me by John earlier to facilitate communication. These papers would prove invaluable in maintaining communication with Amelia when necessary. With our respective room keys in hand, Amelia turned left and I veered right, as we went our separate ways to find our rooms. Our parting words echoed in the hallway, "See you later," as we disappeared into our respective dormitories.

Strolling through the hallway, I noticed rooms flanking both sides. Seemingly, I would be cohabitating with a room partner. After some time, I stumbled upon door number 36. Proceeding with a couple of knocks, I eventually used the key to slowly unravel what lay behind the door. Surprisingly, the room was vacant except for a bunk with neatly arranged clothes on the lower bed and an organized set of shoes.

Without further delay, I commenced unpacking my apparel and arranging them in the closet. In the process of tidying up, a jarring creak alerted me to the opening door. Standing there was a young man with flaming red hair, deep brown eyes, donned in a black t-shirt, long white trousers, and contrasting black and white shoes.

I subsequently presented myself as Reo Vermont. In response, he introduced himself, articulating in a soft voice, "My name is Michael and it's a pleasure to meet you." Astonishingly, he then traversed to the bed and, without any delay, drifted off to sleep. His actions left me wondering about his unusual demeanor. Once done unpacking, I was drained. I opted for the top bunk-bed and eventually succumbed to sleep.
