New faces

Michael, appearing greatly perturbed, protested, "I was not informed of any requirement to have a roommate, neither did I express such a desire. Could you please find another room?" However, Charlotte intervened before he could complete his demand, inquiring, "Why, in your opinion, is there a bunk bed here? It's designed for dual occupancy, and we currently have no vacant rooms. You will be cohabitating with Reo." I had not previously envisioned her display of anger while working at the front desk, yet it was clear to see her frustration after delivering the same message repeatedly to Michael.

Persistent argument ensued between the two. Eventually, Michael conceded, accepting that he was to share accommodation with Reo. As Charlotte went back to the reception area, Michael re-entered the room dejectedly, letting out a resigned sigh.

He looked up and clarified, "There are certain guidelines we need to follow if we're going to cohabit in this room." First, out of sheer politeness, he proceeded to introduce himself again. "Hello, I'm Reo, from Union Valley," he affirmed, followed by a considerate bow.

As he discovered how far I had journeyed to meet him, he gasped, "Wow." He then began enumerating a series of house rules. One of which was that I needed to keep my bed tidy. Another forewarned me against being excessively noisy, a stipulation I didn't see as a problem since I had secretly borrowed some of John's books to occupy my time.

Finally, it was Michael's turn. He sat on his bed, eagerly waiting to hear my preferences and boundaries. However, they were essentially the same as his.

I proceeded to retrieve my toothbrush from the drawer and headed towards the bathroom. The bathroom was the final door along the hallway, in the room to the left where the bed was situated to the right. Notably, there was another door along the way, but I continued my journey to the bathroom to brush my teeth.

After this, I travelled back through the hallway and made it to the bedroom. An inquiry bubbled up within me: What is the purpose of the second door in the hallway?

"It's the kitchen," replied Michael, whose actions indicated a desire for departure as he was donning his boots.

Are you leaving? I asked, to which he radiated a grin and replied, "I'm off to grab some food. Do you need anything?"

I responded by expressing a preference for whatever he was planning to get. He acknowledged this with a casual okay before making his exit.

In Michael's absence, I seized this chance to embark on meditation, managing the energy coursing through my body. Upon opening my eyes, I spotted a page hovering before me. Intrigued, I seized the floating page, discerning that it appeared to be a traveler's document. As I perused its contents, it became apparent that it was Amelia's possession.

Post-Breakup Perspective of Amelia

Strolling through a hallway, which was outlined by a glass roof and a red carpet, my eyes scanned across the numerous doors on either side. My march halted in front of the door engraved with my key number.

Pushing the door open, my eyes met a tall lady, her brunette locks matched the hue of her eyes. She was draped in monochrome clothes - a black top, a black jacket complimented by a black skirt. Spotting her in deep meditation, I decided to retreat, not wanting to disturb her. Just as I was about to shut the door, her soft voice echoed, whilst her riveting eyes fluttered open, "Where are you heading to? Your possession of this room's key is suggestive of you being allotted this room."

Upon hearing this, I re-entered the room and greeted her. " Good evening, my name is Amelia," not sure what to do, I inquired after her and asked her for guidance. She swiftly replied introducing herself, "I am Aurora Grace, holding the third position in the students' council."

"It appears you're unfamiliar with this locale," she remarked, rising from her seat. She indicated that my sleeping arrangements would involve the lower berth of a bunk bed. Gesturing me in the direction of the kitchen and bathroom, she noted that they were conveniently situated in a corridor adjacent to the bedroom.

As I began to organize my belongings, she queried about my appetite. When I confirmed my hunger, reassuring that I'd fend for myself, she absented herself to the kitchen. Upon completing my unpacking, the inviting scent of curry permeated the dwelling. She emerged from the kitchen to announce dinner's readiness.

Our paths crossed once again in the kitchen, now a veritable feast. I held my ground, watching as she claimed a wooden chair at the wooden kitchen table. Despite my initial reluctance, she eased my uncertainty with, "Fear not, many refer to me as a culinary virtuoso, it promises to be palatable". Grateful, I proceeded to indulge in the meal, its taste living up to her reputation.

Post-dinner, I retired to the bathroom for a refreshing shower. Upon my exit, I discovered her in tranquil meditation once again, choosing not to disturb her peaceful solitude. A Leisurely Discovery

Ambulating leisurely, I found an array of garments in the dresser. Once dressed, she coyly inquired, "Do you possess extensive control over your element?"

A Demonstrative Lesson

Rising from her seat, she gestured toward the structure's apex, focusing her elemental energy into her index finger. Her insightful explanation followed, "Should you attain full dominion over your element, you possess the ability to conceptualize any shape, and the elemental energy will replicate it precisely." She added, a note of caution underlying her words, "Despite the apparent 'cool' factor, it cannot be utilized as a means to inflict harm."

Witnessing the Unseen

With her finger hovering in a circular direction around the ceiling, I was encircled by a tangible gust, a palpable manifestation of her elemental control. Her final declaration ended the learning session for the day, promising, "I shall impart this tutelage unto you."

Preparing for the night, I came to understand the impending lessons whilst she retreated for her evening water cleanse.
