Courage

The express left the station and started its journey to Hogwarts station.

-What's with the grin? -Hermione's sharp gaze caught Soisen's reaction.

-Nothing, I see you really like Ravenheart," being the only one who didn't share his costume with those present, he pointed out without much concern.

-That's great! -Sylvia nodded as she spoke excitedly, "No one knows where it came from, but now everyone knows about it. What's your favorite song? Mine is Dance of the Red Crows.

-I like Moon Without Bones," said Hermione.

-Clouds of Tears," added Ginny.

-I think Flowers of Stone is fine," Luna voiced her opinion, "What about you, Soisen?

For a moment, he considered teasing them and saying he didn't like Ravenheart, but seeing the looks on their faces, he had a feeling that doing so wouldn't end well for him, so he compromised.

-I prefer Rainbow Flying Fish, they say if you're lucky you can touch them.

The girls nodded, agreeing that it was indeed one of the best he had.

Once the topic was on, they all started talking about Ravenheart and Soisen would only give a few comments every now and then, preferring to listen to the opinions of the others for references and possible improvements.

Suddenly, Mulan's song With Courage began to play over the express speakers.

Soisen frowned, this was the alarm he set for when the temperature drop was unnatural. That meant the Dementors were about to enter the Hogwarts express.

Not on his watch.

He pressed the button on a den den mushi he had under his sleeve and several screens in each carriage unfolded, revealing an animated Fallout-style movie.

-Greetings, young witches and wizards! -If you are watching this, it means you are about to be attacked by dark creatures, but fear not! See the crystal ball that has risen in the middle of your carriage? You only need to inject magic into it and it will generate a protective shield with everyone's combined effort! -The animation showed how the magic went into the ball, surrounded the train and shut out the evil cartoon creatures, "Remember to add as much magic as possible until help arrives or you escape the danger zone! Have a good day.

The young wizards and witches were dumbfounded and stared at the ball in the middle of the wagon. It was then that they realized that the cold around them did not seem natural and hurried to put magic on the ball.

Outside the express, the Dementors were about to enter to inspect the carriages and sneakily steal some delicious happiness, when a shield appeared and drove them backwards. At first, the shield appeared to be wavy and not too consistent, but seconds later, a cocoon of light formed completely around the train that never stopped and kept moving forward.

The Dementors were annoyed and started banging on the shield, wanting to claim something from that young meal.

-Wow," Fallout's animation came again along with his characteristic voice, "Looks like the dark creatures aren't happy and want to come in. But we won't let them, will we? Please increase the magic you bring and the counterattack mode will be activated.

The prefects were going through the carriages, urging the young wizards and witches to inject as much magic as they could without holding back a bit. You could tell they were sweating from how fast they were visiting each wagon.

Soisen and her friends were contributing as much as they could and soon another piece of music began to play as several light figures formed outside and began to fight off the Dementors, managing to send most of them fleeing and completely destroying a few.

The music was Digimon's Brave Heart and the figures could only be recognized by Soisen through the window as Angemon, Angewomon, Anubismon, Pegasusmon, Nefertimon, Seraphimon, Ophanimon, Lucemon and Mastemon.

One of the surprises he installed in the modernization of the Hogwarts locomotive that could only be sustained due to the magic of all the wizards and witches inside it for a short period of time. It turns out that as long as the locomotive exerting traction was not affected, it was not a problem to modify the wagons with some magic!

Mulan's song was to inspire the passengers, dispelling their fear so that when they subsequently injected magic into the defense system, it would have a Patronus-like effect capable of damaging Dementors to some extent.

You could say it was a counter-attack mode that relied on quantity versus quality, but it couldn't get any better with the size of the transport and the short time.

And it was working pretty well!

I just hoped the dementors didn't come back later, I had serious doubts that the little wizards would be able to activate the defensive measures a couple of times due to the extremely high magic consumption.

-Were those Dementors? -Ginny was looking through the window blankly, "Aren't they under Ministry control and far away guarding Azkaban? How could they appear here at this time?

-It must be because of mad Sirius Black's escape," Sylvia frowned, "But sending Dementors where the students are? -What if they don't have competent aurors available or what? What if they give a student a Kiss?!

Luna was pale and silent, but it was certainly a much better outcome than when she was directly exposed to the presence of the Dementors. Meanwhile, Hermione and Silvia were a bit calmer as Soisen had them learn the Patronus Charm by chance.

-Take some - Soisen brought out some chocolate bonbons -Eat some and you'll feel better, my mom said it was a good way to recover after being around one of those things.

The girls accepted the chocolate and ate it in silence.

-Soisen, why don't you look so upset? -Hermione commented after several bites.

-Don't you remember who taught you the Patronus? -Soisen raised his eyebrow and improvised an excuse, "I was not only injecting magic into the ball, but I also added the Patronus mist as a reinforcement. I guess that's why I'm not as affected.

Hermione nodded, considering that what Soisen was saying was logical. It's just that neither Silvia nor she thought of doing that during the crisis.

Once the dementors disappeared from the vicinity, the digimon figures turned into streams of light that joined the shield, which held firm for another minute until the students believed it was safe and they could cut off the supply of magic.

It looks like this year is going to get off to a bumpy start.
